The sandwiches here are amazing – they’re always fresh and hot, however the staff here needs an attitude adjustment. The past few times I have come in I have felt so uncomfortable by the staff. I asked a question about the menu and the girl rolled her eyes at me and said«just look up it’s on the board for God’s sake.» I understand it’s not table service and they’re making everything to order(hell, I’m a waitress), but your job is still customer service. Definitely recommend this place for a great sandwich, however don’t expect positive service.

Ordered the chicken with cheddar with double meat. Asked them to scoop out the bread and had the sand which with the works… it tasted like crack! I went around 7pm on a Wednesday night so no wait at all. The line can get long during the lunch hour, but worry not-they move relatively quick.

The service is soooo slowwww… The employees hate their jobs and it shows. Save yourself the frustration and enjoy better customer service at the many other options on Fulton st.

Nice staff at a relatively-bustling-for-the-area-after-work Potbelly.

A great fix for lunch if you are not to hungry. Had the Mediterranean sandwich and it was TASTY. Ordered online and still had to wait upon arrival. I found that a bit irritating.

I always have the Italian sandwich and love it. Customer service at Potbelly is top notch. All the workers are nice and make me feel welcome. Putting this review today as I just came back from the location. My sandwich was made incorrectly and I got it for free(I didn’t ask for it). Great example of how customers should be treated!

First time I had this chain and was not at all impressed. The ordering process is the most confusing thing I have ever seen and even though when I went there were no other customers I still had to go through it. Talk to this guy in the back, wait for your sandwich to the middle man(I thought we eliminated the middle man) and then pay in front. Wouldnt be so bad if the sandwich was worth it but its not. I had the Italian and got it with the works except for mayo and Mustard and got the house Vinagrette. Really all I tasted was hot peppers so I had to open the sandwich and pick them out so as to taste the other ingredients. I dont care for that toasted bread style and apparently they just toast all their sandwiched without asking. I despise toasted cold cut heroes, at least Subway asks before they just stick it in the oven. To me that is just a way to hide stale bread. The meat was typical chain style. One and Done for this chain.

I was very excited when Potbelly moved into the downtown area because I was a big fan of it back in my hometown but all of them shut down. I usually either get turkey, cheddar and mayo or I get the chicken salad sandwich and both are always very good. I DEFINITELY recommend the potato salad they sell with the drinks, it’s very delicious. It’s a small portion but worth it. The cookies are always very tasty as well. I haven’t gotten a milkshake from this location but I have in other locations and they’re always good, but it’s also hard to mess up a milkshake! The service here is always very nice. One day they were a little short staffed and there was a long line of people in front of me so I had to wait awhile to finally order my sandwich and the manager apologized and said I could take a cookie for free for being so patient and even when I said it was fine she told me to take one anyway. I had no problem with waiting at all but it was definitely very sweet of the manager to do that. Also, I’ve always enjoyed Potbelly’s décor! I’d recommend this place if you need a quick place to stop during lunch. Never disappoints!

I like this chain, the nice variety on the menu. This location is lacking in customer service. Ordering a sandwich should not be a frustrating experience.

Really nice and friendly workers. Very clean and pretty spacious for a sandwich shop. There is upstairs seating. Free refills on fountain drinks. I got the chicken salad sandwich and it was very neatly packed and looked yummy. The chicken salad was nice and moist and didn’t have too much mayo. My bf got the Italian and the worker even asked if he was okay with mushrooms. They have a good selection of chips as well.

we ordered two sandwiches and a milkshake online, it was hot and cold(as it should be when i arrived). i also added another milkshake when i got there, the cashier quicklly whips it up and apologized for the wait, say what? being an impatient person, it was barely a wait and nice of her to say. :-) food: got the roast beef on thin multigrain bread, good amount of meat, i loaded up on veggies but it tastes average at best. my coffee milk shake was very sweet, i don’t recommend it at all. coworker got the meatball sammich(just ok in his words) and oreo shake(better, not as sweet). shortly after eating, i start to feel sick in my stomach, meh, not a good feeling. service: quick and FRIENDLY, now that’s a rare combo. awesome! price: fair i really wanted to like this place but getting me sick is not the way to go. :-(would i go back? maybe, when i feel brave again.

I really enjoyed the sandwich! I thought the menu was a little small, but they do what they do well. The portions were fair, and the value for the price was reasonable. Atmosphere was nice. Despite the store being pretty busy, I was able to have conversation through lunch without having to yell across the table. Great food. Solid atmosphere. Will definitely be back!

The service is always quick and smooth and the lunch hour lines are never overbearing. The sandwiches are OK. The chicken & cheddar leaves a lot to be desired, but the Italian is not bad. It sucks that there are only about 5 sandwich options, only two choices for bread and maybe 2 different cheeses. Four types of dressing and only 5 toppings. If you’re going to have few options then the sandwiches have to pack quality. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not asking for a Subway setup but Potbelly can definitely come better than this. Upside is that the smoothies are awesome.

I went to another local Potbelly a few months back while on Grand Jury Duty. It was tightly packed and I wasn’t wholly impressed by what I got, some special vegetable sandwich, I recall. When wandering around near my new FiDi office, I came across this Potbelly and decided to give it a try. I went basic: can’t go wrong with a hot roast beef sandwich, yes? Well, I got it… and, it’s definitely served better hot. I ate half there, and ate the rest about 30 minutes later when I got back to my Washington Heights office.(Long story short, the A Train was packed and I didn’t feel like being«that person» shoving food in their mouth.) The second half was so mediocre at room temperature, I actually had to throw it out. And though the first half was better hot… I wasn’t wholly impressed with the product. The location is bigger, the staff was extremely friendly and on point, and even a man played guitar on the second level! Still, I have yet to be swung off of the fence on my overall feelings regarding this particular sandwich chain…

The most recent addition to Fulton Street’s growing array of restaurants and take-out, Potbelly is excellent. The chain’s newest location is clean and familiar. Food is up to Potbelly’s standards — no complaints!

Sandwich was yummy — I ordered the italian. My only complaint is that they skimped out on the meat– next time I might ask for extra meat.

This review should be taken with a grain of salt. I been to the shop on maiden lane the the service was excellent, so I thought I’d give this place a try because it’s less than ten steps from me. I’ve placed an orderaprox 4:45 and asked for a pick up and was given a pick up window at 5:09. I went to the store around 5:15 only to find out the order I placed to the store was never the made or prepared, other than just waiting for another 7 mins because the person didn’t know how to make a chocolate milkshake, everything else was good. Shoulda paid more attention during training!

Toasted sandwiches? Yum! Potbelly is new to Fulton Street and I’m already loving it. I’ve never been to a Potbelly, so I had a ton of questions. The girl who started my order was really sweet and didn’t mind that I was a noob. There is a great chips selection and the décor is fun. Since they started out as an antique store– the décor takes after that theme. Checkout was fast and the cashier was also very nice. My sandwich was really tasty! I wanted to stay safe, so I got the turkey with cheddar cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. For a plain sandwich– it really hit the spot. The Zapp’s Sour Cream & Creole Onion potato chips also added a little something to the equation. I can’t wait to go back and try the other sandwiches they offer!
