A real game-changer in my lunch delivery range! I found Pi Bakerie via Seamless while scrolling through in search for savory, mostly healthy meal. While it takes a bit longer that most joints in the nearby area the product is certainly more satisfying. I’ve yet to receive anything off their menu that has disappointed, even with the slightly inflated price points. While a bit different from what I’m used to, the spanakopita is delicious, served in a more doughy circular pastry. Their Greek yogurt is fantastic as its that rich and pure Greek yogurt that’s too difficult to find at local groceries stores but is seldom served in restaurants. The zucchini pie was a tad watery but had great flavor. Hummus is super garlicky and rich(in a good way). Conclusively, a great spot that I’m super happy to have discovered and to recommend!

Yum! Delicious pastries, we came here after dessert somewhere else didn’t work out, and got a cookie with three kinds of chocolate chips, a fruit tart, a chocolate covered strawberry and yogurt with cherries and baklava in it. Plus a spinach pie was added to our order. I’m not sure if this was an error or just a freebie, but it was great. All was delicious but the yogurt with baklava in it was inspired. It’s not cheap but everything was a very big serving. The service was very friendly and helpful.

Pi is a cute little Greek bakery offering lots of little Greek goodies. The pastries are placed within a large sideboard, inside a sliding cabinet and some in drawers. I picked up some cookies and baklava. I devoured the PISTACHIO baklava. You order by the pound, which i believe was $ 9.25 per ½ lb. Probably not the most cost effective, but when you get just a few pieces, its not too bad. They also offer lunch options including various«Pi’s», salads, stuffed breads/sandwiches. I ordered the green harvest pi, which is fyllo dough stuffed with kale, leeks and feta cheese. It was delicious and satisfying and perfect for lunch. A large square portion is under $ 10. The café has indoor seating and a few tables outside. The place is bright and airy and for me was like a little oasis from the daily grind.

My favorite bakery in Soho hands down. I lived across the street for two years and they have always been so nice. Food is amazing; employees are amazing. They even once had a vegan dish that apparently wasn’t as popular, but I respect them trying and they should keep trying to add vegan options. I know tons of vegans who would go here if they had more options. I would’ve eaten more here if they had more vegan options as well since my diet is mostly vegan. Regardless, this place is a gem.

the service is terrible at 08.50am. no smile, impatience, downright rude. and for those who think Unilocal should be about the products only, no. because service impacts the products for me. only on rare occasions would the product shadow poor service.

This bakery has probably the best eye appeal I have ever experienced. Everything looks amazing and fresh. The open airy seating area and cabinets of yummy treats drew us in. Taste wise, the results were a bit more inconsistent. We had: — pistachio baklava — the hubby liked, I didn’t — Athena wedding cookies — dry — Greek wedding cookies — dry — original baklava — excellent — I wouldn’t expect any less of a greek bakery — Greek coffee — delicious — Honey Swirls — looked a lot better than they tasted. They had a weird aftertaste. — Chocolate Florentine — tasty The yogurt and rice pudding looked delicious as did the salads and sandwiches. I would probably pop in again for the regular food vs. the desserts.

Cute trendy authentically Greek coffee and pastry shop with moussaka, salads and meat pie or vegetable pie or squares and lots of delicious GREEK pastries. They have my favorite GREEK style cold coffee I had in Greece with ice and cream. The mousaka has a nice be hazel sauce on top. A big piece for an affordable price. My favorite desserts(with an S) are the pecan lace with chocolate and the almond thin cookies. Crunchy and delectable. For true Greek pastries, I like their cheese pastry, custard squares, orange baklava, crumbly walnut cookies, and pistachio baklava. I like eating outdoors when the sun is setting. Their homemade Greek yogurt look like whipped cream — I plan to have that next when I return. I love this place. Not touristy.

Everyone in there was so sweet and helpful! I had no idea what I was looking at and they were patient enough to answer all my questions Place is small with little seating so we got it to go. They have tables indoors and outdoors. I don’t know the name of what I ordered but it was delicious! Lots of cheese and the dough was just perfect. Perfect amount of chewiness with a little crunch and it was dense but still so fluffy and light. It couldn’t have been any better. It was the best thing I ate while in New York.

I came across this bakery as I was walking to the train after work. I’m Greek and its very hard to find authentic Greek bakeries in Manhattan that reach my expectations but when I left PI I was a very happy customer. My freddo espresso was on point, the cheese pie(tiropita) was amazing and my pastitchio was mouth watering! If your in soho this place is a must try

After a quick lunch at Sunrise, I spot this bakery nearby to grab a latte. My daughter was also in the mood for sweets. The service was super attentive and friendly. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the staff. She helped us with our order even though it was self-serve for the cookies. We end up getting ½ lb. of cookies– Athena’s wedding, dark chocolate florentine, greek wedding, melomakarona, pistachio baklava mini, traditional baklava, and other recommendations from the staff. We also had a large latte. They gave us samples of a cherry pie that was pretty good. It’s a quiet café with cute seating. While we were waiting for the latte, my daughter sat in the corner with the pillow cushion. She loved watching through the window. The cookies were delicious and fresh. Our fav was the baklava, melomakarona, and greek wedding(shortbread). If we known it was that good, we would had end up getting a full pound. Even so for ½ lb, we got to sample a lot of the different varieties as there are about 20 different selections. It was packaged and wrapped in a little white box. The latte was ok but the sweets really got us. Def will return to try other items and more cookies!

Walking around SOHO, cold afternoon(like 45F), looking for a place to have some delightful coffee and sweets. Two blocks from our hotel we found PI, and decided to give it a shot. What a surprise! The Mocha Coffee was excellent, it had this«attention to details» taste, not overloaded with excessively sweet chocolate, just perfect balance between all ingredients. On the left wall they have compartments with a multitude of sweets and desserts, just grab some thongs and and pick as many as you like. From Baklava to Diples(Mediterranean desserts). I had a Dark Chocolate Florentine and my wife had the Galaktoboureko(Milk Pi), both excellent. Service was friendly and attentive, prices average for NYC. Recommended!

I’ve always wanted to go to Greece. Granted, since I’m still in college and all my money goes to paying tuition, the chances of me going anytime soon are none. Nonetheless, when I heard about Pi Bakerie, I figured that if I couldn’t go to the actual country, I might as well go try some authentic desserts being busted out by guys with accents. Walking in, I noticed how packed it was during the lunch rush. I wanted to try a pie, but my goal that day was to have some pastries that I hadn’t been able to find in the fourth months I was studying in California. Pi Bakerie does a good job showing off their goods in displays lining the left wall, as well as the pull out drawers underneath. It’s New York City, and I can appreciate any shop utilizing their space to the fullest. On this trip, I knew that I had to try the baklava. The first Mediterranean love of my life, I craved the syrup, the candied nuts, and the crispy phyllo cracking in my mouth. I decided to get both the chocolate and traditional versions. Biting into the chocolate, I took note of how it was a bit chewier than I would have liked, but I liked the combination of the nuts with the cocoa flavor. It was a good spin from the traditional baklava that I was used to. Sampling the original, I found that I actually liked it more, and I ended up licking the syrup off of my fingers, sad when it was entirely gone. When my friend who I had gone with finished up, I noticed that she filled her entire box up with Greek Wedding Cookies. Her only reason: «they looked good.» Luckily, she let me try one, and they truly were! While they seemed similar to Mexican wedding cookies, I could taste a variation in the flavor profile that pleased my palette. I could totally see why she wanted an entire container. I ended up spending $ 2.75 on both pieces of baklava. While both were delectable, I wish that they could have been bigger pieces, as I was able to finish both in only two small bites. Still, I know that if I ever need my Greek dessert fix, Pi Bakerie is a solid option for me.

Tucked into a street nook in Soho, this Greek bakery is great. The place is pretty small, with just a few tables and limited seating outside. When you walk in, they have desserts mostly on the left side(baklava, assorted cookies, etc.) While it is under glass, I have seen some flies around, though it must be hard to keep them away from the sweet flavors. I really enjoyed the baklava. They also have savory stuff(«pi») on the right side under heated lamps, such as moussaka, meat pi, etc. The spinach and kale pie was very filling even though it didn’t look like a huge huge piece and very tasty. The platters come with a pi and small helping of salad + grape leaf($ 13 total). The grape leaf was rolled very tightly. Their signage isn’t the greatest, as I didn’t see a listing of all their pi’s; they had a chalkboard in the back but it was obstructed. I haven’t tried their coffees and teas but assume they are good as well. The servers were pretty nice. I would definitely like to come back and try more of their savory pi’s.

Galaktoboureko — my favorite creamy custard pie! Last week, I tried greek dessert for the first time in my life at the end of dinner at a greek restaurant in Astoria. My favorite during that inner was certainly this custard pie. On the next day, I told my colleague who’s originally from Greece about how much I enjoyed it, and he STRONGLYRECOMMENDED to check out Pi Bakerie. Yes, Pi Bakerie is amazing, indeed. In addition to the custard pie, we also tried Baklava and freshly made yogurt, both of which are«must-try» at Pi Bakerie according to my colleague. I can’t say that Baklava is one of the best in the city because I have never tried Baklava in many different places, but I can definitely say that yogurt blew my mind away… It was very rich, thick and fresh. Can’t be compared to faye, chobani, etc… I might be craving this yogurt and travel from Midtown to Soho again next weekend. I bought home a whole pie of Galaktoboureko for this long holiday weekend. We’ve got a special pie on our dinner table for this thanksgiving!

Recently in the area, Bestie and I walked over to Pi Bakerie with one goal in mind: TOEATCOOKIES! Everything looked delicious– from their drawers filled with Baklava to their freshly made bread-boats. We each grabbed a bag and helped ourselves to an assortment of Greek treats. Each cookie was unique and delicious in its own way– my favorite being a dense, honey-soaked kind. I can’t wait to come back and try more!

Love this little place — my friends and I often came for lunch when I worked downtown. Everything is good. From the flaky, buttery pies to the savory salads, this is definitely authentic and always perfectly fresh. The desserts are comparable or better than the ones I had in Turkey, with the sweet, rich, dense and homey flavor. But nothing compares to the Greek yogurt here — definitely some of the best in the city. They serve two kinds of yogurts, one with baklava /some other specialty ingredient mixed in, and one plane. Both are delicious, though I personally prefer one scoop of plan plus honey and walnuts. Let’s just say the honey is also out of this world in itself. The prices are a tad bit steep, but you are getting quality instead. One big complaint is the slow service. Even when there are not that many customers, there is no organization to the line, and it’s not cleared who has and has not been helped. But maybe that’s part of the magic of a smaller cute shop…

Food not as good as when they first opened last year. Sadly it was a favorite Spanikopita over cooked, greasy and tasteless. The sweet little greek man that was making pastry was gone and pastry not as light and fluffy ~ kinda gross now. I wont be back. Waste of time in NY to eat inferior foods.

Let me start this review by saying that I don’t even like Greek food but I really enjoyed myself at Pi Bakerie! Came here with a co-worker for a lunch, and ordered the Spinach, Leek and Kale pie with the side of Greek salad and everything tasted extremely fresh and packed with flavor. The pie was perfectly seasoned, not too salty yet still very savoury. The one thing I didn’t like was that the top pie crust was a bit too hard for my liking. Not sure if this is how it’s supposed to be, but I prefer a crust that’s slightly flakier and easier to eat. The Greek salad consisted of very fresh and big tomato, cucumber and feta cheese slices. Yum! My friend let me try her Greek yogurt, which was really enjoyable as well. Pi Bakerie is a great place to either sit down for lunch, or to grab something to go. If I’m around the area again I’d love to stop by and try more of their bakery items.

Simple as Pi? Actually, Pi is quite complex. You can find everything in Pi — eternity of every number, every combination… … as well as every flavor, every moment of bliss you bite into heavenly honey infused baklava, every day of happiness when you pick your flat white with perfectly steamed soy milk, every step of the way when staff brings you Greek cookie and glass of water with genuine smile on their faces, number of quiet minutes you need to finish working on a project over your coffee, and number of happy hours you spend sharing a yogurt with your best friend… Infinity of Pi Bakerie is beautiful.
