It’s always calm whenever I’m there. They have a great selection of nuts, rice, raw honey, almond milk and lots of other goodies. Their ginger and produce are very fresh, and lasts a long time. The ready made meat patties are the bomb, and the staff is friendly and professional.

Decent prices, good selection. Knowledgable owner on homeopathic and supplements. Really friendly.

Cool little spot in an unlikely area that accepts the Belly app to honor return visits. Nice selection and a winner given the area. Belly bite update January 2016: decent soup.

Moderate convenience, but I found many expired products like everyone else mentioned. Being from CA, I’m used to a great selection of organic products and produce, but at half the price. I expected higher pricing in NYC, but this place is charging $ 5.99 for a dozen of eggs and near $ 6 for a carton of 1% milk. I just feel it’s excessive and a disservice to others who are trying to make healthier choices. It’s worth the trip to a nearby Trader Joes. Also, I did see l some products that are NOT organic… just a small observation.

Overall a good organic market with a decent selection of food, supplements, beauty products, and a juice bar. My one complaint is that they keep the supplements behind the counter, which makes me wonder if they just pick the most expensive version of the product.

It’s because of this store that I was able to cobble together some semblance of lunch that wasn’t utterly disgusting even if it was just hummus, peanut butter or cheese on bread. I shopped there every other day when I worked there. I also used to go to the central market(not the same chain market found in Texas) which was just too ridiculously priced and they too often sold expired items. I found the pickins to be slim in the area and this place helped me not starve or succumb to dreaded papa johns(which should be a felony in NYC). Also they did seem nice as noted by other reviewers.

They got all I need. I buy gluten free flaxseed, pancake mix, cookie mix… Interesting talk radio usually filling the air. Calm, greeting hospitality, always makes me feel like guest. Thank you.

Too many long-expired products on the shelves. I’m not going to forgive it any more just because they are local. If you don’t want food poisoning, don’t shop here… or at least look at the dates like a hawk. It’s too bad because they are nice and convenient.

Love this store… I live in the neighborhood so it is very convenient. The only thing I would change is that it could be a bit bigger. But everything else is great! Jay is a sweetheart and he has a great, friendly staff. Libby always makes great juice for my breakfast before I jump on the train in the morning. They have a great selection and they are nowhere near the price of Whole Foods for pretty much all of the items I buy on a regular basis. Overall, great business!

I was so glad to find this store in the neighborhood. They have a great selection and the owner Jay knows his stuff. I used to go to the Whole Foods on 97th which is great but the family feeling, good costumer service, and great soups at Organic is fantastic. Try the lentil soups and the Tuna. Fantastic. My friend had to pick up some snacks for a road trip, so we stepped in here. Many things for sale, inexpensive yoga mats, almond butter, coconut water, vitamins, CDs, books. The usual organic healthfood mix. I noticed they didn’t have Laxmi’s Delights, which is a flaxseed spread I quite enjoy. They also have a juice bar, that looked rather tempting, but I got out of there without spending money. They joke that Whole Foods should be called«whole paycheck», and you pay extra for more healthy and humanely grown and less processed items. I was tempted by the almond spread, I’ve never had it before. I do drink rice and soy milk because I like it and I’ve become lactose intolerant in my old age. And you’re not stealing the milk from a sentient being. It’s these kinds of places that make being a vegetarian easier. I wish I had one near by me that was good. I don’t live around here, about 4 friends do, and I sometimes wonder if I need to move into their neighborhood so I can be around my friends. And cool groceries like this make me want to move into this area.

This store reminds me of the Yes Markets in DC, just a tad bit smaller. If you are a recovering fat-ass, ex– vegan, like me, you know how to navigate through these stores and shop. The store is not as expensive as it could be. Since I have been committed to going to the gym like six days a week, I have been coming to Organic Forever for the goods I need at work. My blender drinks and wholesome snacks juxtaposed the usual chocolate Twinkies, Table Talk pies, Crunchy Cheese Doodles, in my locker. The Power Sandwiches and Wheat grass shots are super filling(for the moment.) You know veggie grub cannot give you the ‘itis. But it is fibrous and tasty. It is great to buy the Kind Bars in Bulk. I have a special relationship with, well, all of them. When it comes to sweet and nutty, my tongue is promiscuous.

I ran across this place as I was finishing a run in Central Park, and I’m so happy I did! There’s a BULKSECTION! Hurrah! I’ve been looking for one closer than Whole Foods, so this totally fits the bill. Almost all their bulk items are organic and are on the pricier side(appx. brown rice -$ 1.40/lb; quinoa $ 3.50/lb). They even have some yummy raw goji berry bar chunks. I walked around the store and it seems to cover all the bases. I really liked the owner — he was super friendly. Also, while they do accept credit/debit cards, it’s only for min. $ 10 purchases… which isn’t too hard to spend anyways. Haha.

Nice neighborhood store. It’s small, but a decent selection of fresh vegetables, organic of course, plus dairy, Knudsen juices, frozen entrees, eggs, pasta, quite a few staples. They need a better selection of fresh baked bread. Organic Forever also has Solgar Vitamins and a good selection of other top of the line supplements. They have soaps and some body /skincare products as well. Prices are a bit steep.

This is a nice little neighborhood organic market. The selection’s not huge, and you can find most of the stuff at Central Market for cheaper. I was, however, happy to find grass-fed ground beef, as I haven’t been able to find it anywhere else in the area. I wish there was a produce section, especially during the winter when the farmers’ markets in the area shut down. I haven’t tried the prepared foods, but the sandwiches look pretty good. I’m glad this store is in my neighborhood, but there’s not much of a reason for me to go there besides the beef.
