Pretty chill corner bodega. Doesn’t have the best stocked ice cream, which was my goal for the day, but I could definitely get a cold drink here and great junk food. The guy behind the register is very kind and soft spoken.

I thoroughly appreciative that this is my neighborhood bodega, but I’m aware of my bias. 3 stars because it really is just a-​ok, but 4 stars because I get real giddy when they use the claw to retrieve items (somehow everything I want, short of the cheap beer selection) from high up places. 5 stars if they start using the claw to hand me beer, pending.

Our lovely corner bodega. It has the typical attributes: sodas, limited groceries, old-​looking deli meat behind the counter, and the neighborhood locals that hang out on the corner outside all day.
When we moved in I needed some batteries for my new swiffer wet-​jet (i won’t mention the ocd-​related fun that i had cleaning my apartment afterwards!) and felt a smile in my heart when the guy behind the counter opened up a package of 24 batteries and said, «How many do you want?» and then pro-​rated them for me. Amazing. The same guy also carded me when I tried to buy a Monster energy drink. Hilarious.
Essentially it’s great for a midnight snack, but if you want groceries or sandwiches, I prefer either the small grocery around the corner (review coming soon) on 106^th or Westside Market/D’Ag on Broadway.
