This is such a welcome addition to the neighborhood. Not sure what the bad reviews are all about. My family is very picky about the Chinese food that we order and this place was such a pleasant surprise. They have great quality chicken and we have never been disappointed by their dishes. Try the chili chicken and kung pao dumplings!

Definitely a notch above typical Chinese takeout places. The couple of people with bad reviews here probably cannot tell the difference between quality of meat. The meat used is 100% better quality and does taste better than regular spots. I actually cannot think of a better takeout place in Manhattan so 5 stars.

I have been looking for a good chinese place for a long time and lucky for me one opened across the street! This place is delicious. Not greasy and very fresh. Cant wait to be hungry again so I can order from here again.

For basic, unauthentic Chinese food, I do not understand why the prices are so high. You certainly do not get more(quality or quantity) for the price you pay. The sushi does not seem fresh either. The rice was very mushy.

Eek! Roaches. And their delivery person almost mowed down an elderly resident of the senior residence around the corner while illegally riding on the sidewalk.

They are very friendly and very clean place. We are vegetarian and they make food to taste.

New addition to the mini strip of West End eateries between 60th and 61st. Billed as a Chinese restaurant, Mah Jong also offers sushi rolls and pad thai. I came once to order and takeout… service was very focused on execution, not what I’d consider friendly or endearing in any way(hoped for better bc of the neighborhood). Another day I had friends order from here to my house(3 blocks away), and the food came fast and was enjoyed by all. My socks haven’t been blown off by any means, but happy to at least have another option in the area.

I finally ordered from here & am glad I did. I only ordered Veg Lo Mein & Veg Fried Rice since it was my first time. The food was real good. To me it’s the best Chinese in this area. The only reason why I have it 4 stars is because they don’t have combination dishes. I definitely recommend this place. Glad they opened!!!

I’m sorry, but this is not very good Chinese food. That’s the nicest way to put it. The honest way to put it, is that I’ve never had worse Chinese food in NYC. I love classic NY Chinese — but everything the 6 of us ordered was thrown away. Every. Single. Thing. Try somewhere else.

Ordered sesame chicken and spring rolls. Sesame chicken was too chewy and spring rolls were over fried. Wasn’t too impressed with the meal at all.

Ordered here for lunch and while the food was hot and on time, the order wasn’t correct. The sesame chicken which we ordered not fried but sautéed(they have done this before no problem) and it was overly salted and inedible. The eggplant and chicken with garlic sauce came without chicken. The wonton soup broth was extremely salty. Not worth it.
