Having moved to a new neighborhood with my boyfriend we wanted to look for a last minute date night spot and man did we find one! The appetizers were inviting to get more food, the server kept on bringing perfectly paired wine and the mains were incredible. I could not recommend a Greek restaurant more, it has everything you’re looking for: the effortless and carefree ambiance that makes you feel like you’re on vacation, delicious authentic food and some great, GREAT staff. Thank you all for a perfect date night!

Am thrilled by this addition to the neighborhood! Cool space with an additional lofted dining room space. The atmosphere is both buzzy and intimate. Service is friendly. Food is delicious. Three of us split tzatziki and feta with their delicious pita, meatballs (forgettable), octopus (superb), the red snapper special (a little overdone, but quite good), sauteed spinach and french fries. Everything was so delicious and tasted very fresh. We did not order dessert, but were given a little after-​dinner drink that was ouzo and lemon (I think). I would definitely come back (especially if someone else was paying!).

You would be amiss not to order the sexy presentation yet plentiful amount. Difficult combination… octopus over spread of fava bean… truly off the chart… the whole bronzinni is served to perfection …
This restaurant us a must to locals and well worth a cab or car ride to those a bit further away.

The owner is surly. We were there tonight and the restaurant was half empty. He turned us away.

What a lovely place. The atmosphere and staff are perfect compliments to the delicious food. Beautifully decorated and lit with Greek-​esque design but tasteful enough to feel like an upscale Manhattan restaurant.
They have an extensive menu of Greek dishes. We got the four spreads as an appetizer– really great tasting served with pita. Very generous in their portions (and glasses of wine). Even bigger of a feat – this place made me love a cooked fish. I’ve always been a bit snobby with fish, thinking hands down rare/​raw fish is always the way to go. I decided to get crazy and go with lavraki-​served whole but deboned. It was so light, moist, flakey, and perfectly seasoned with olive oil, lemon, and herbs. If I ever crave fish other than my beloved sushi, this is my new stop.
Service was great– knowledgable, attentive, but not overbearing. The food fresh and delicious. Great place for a romantic date, couples outing, or to bring your parents/​visitors when they come to town. Will definitely be coming back.
PS: I’m pretty sure the staff is Greek and noticed them speaking Greek to quite a few customers — always a good sign for authentic cuisine

We had our first disappointing experience here on New Year’s Eve, having been twice before and enjoying it. The service was subpar and it wasn’t obvious why, since we were there early and the restaurant was not busy yet. It took at least 15min for our drinks order to be taken, then 15min more to receive them. I also wonder if the kitchen was understaffed since the couple next to us, received their meals and immediately asked for them to be packed up to go and we also waited a long time for our calamari appetisers.
The food itself was reasonable although I think the calamari and my fish main were a little overcooked. The spanakopita was good.
I did overhear a few diners complaining about the service and wait times for meals and commenting that they probably would not be back. It is a shame as this is a charming Greek restaurant and I’m hoping this evening was an aberration. It was a shocker! I might give them another chance at some stage. In the meantime I hope they work on what went wrong NYE because it unfortunately put some customers off. That is disappointing as it is a lovely local restaurant on a good day.

Amazing. Food and service was top notch. Went there for dinner last night and it was one of the best restuarant experiences I ever had. The interior is beautiful and the staff are very patient and courteous. The food was tasty (lamb kebab, chicken kebab, grilled octopus). They were so good with all of their details. My water cup was always filled. I will definitely go back.

It took about 10 mins before our waiter took our drink order. I was very disappointed that when I asked for a glass of cabernet they said they were out. I browsed some more and decided to go with a malbec. About five to ten mins later the waiter informed me that they were also out of malbec. I drank water with my meal. Calamari was cooked to perfection as was the lamb chops and my wife’s massauka (not sure on spelling). Not sure if our waiter was just quiet or what but didn’t feel very cheerful. Not sure I will return. Have been looking forward to eating here as I live right down the street. Will have to try again in a few months possibly.

Great Mediterranean ambiance and food. We loved the place. Nice décor– white and wood– and friendly atmosphere. Warm welcome by the staff. We felt like we traveled to the Mediterranean coast. The food was great too. You can order 4 spreads for appetizers and that’s perfect to start with. We had salad and fish skewers, but they also have lamb and much more. The service was a bit slow because the place was full but very nice and accommodating. A great place for dinner with friends or a romantic one.

Stopped by for a glass of wine. Nice, relaxing music was playing and enjoyed a nice sparkling Cava from Greece. Was looking forward to trying the food but kitchen was closed at 10pm on Sunday. Early closing but will come back to sample the food here.

Korali delivered an incredible experience. Food, ambiance, and service a little further north than my usual stomping grounds. I’m told that it is good to get out of one’s comfort zone.
Apps were the «pikelia» (variety) of four traditional spreads: kpanisti (spicy feta dip), taramosalata (fish roe mouse), melitzonosalata (eggplant salad — think babaganush) and tzatziki (yogurt, cucumber, garlic, and dill — tzatzik in Turkish). All were above average. We also ordered a Greek, tomato based salad. Mains consisted of the lavraki (Mediterranean sea bass), paidakia (lamb chops), and youvetzi (tomato, orzo and beef). Desert was traditonal greek yogurt with traditional Turkish pastries like baklava.
Service was friendly and efficient and the décor is beach chic and worth the trip to 93^rd and 3^rd.

Great Greek food comes to Yorkville! Korall is a an open, airy, inviting spot serving classic Greek dishes. Really enjoyed the taromosalata, spicy feta, and the grilled shrimp as appetizers. The atlantic cod main course (prepared with onion, tomato, and a silky celery root purée) was good but the branzino was better. Washed down with a glass of chilled retsina — perfect.

Amazing dinner — the Meze was fantastic (stuffed and grilled calamari as well as the spreads).

A terrific neighborhood option. We made a meal entirely of mezes and were totally satisfied. Beet salad with fennel, crabcakes with gigantes, spanikopita, and a salty saganaki were all fresh and beautifully presented. I can’t wait to go back and try the fish entrees.
The breezy interior (whitewash, stone, lots of light) channels the Greek isles. The bar is very welcoming, as is the service, which is attentive and charmingly rough around the edges («You want more wine, Lady?»). You probably won’t recognize anything on the wine menu (which has many options by the glass), but ask for advice and you’ll find a perfect match for the food.
This is nitpicking, but the music system needs an upgrade. Everything sounded tinny and amateurish, as if your uncle from the old country was off practicing with his pals somewhere next door. With a little tweaking, it would add a lot to the authentic Mediterranean vibe.

Delicious food, friendly service and a pretty place. This Greek restaurant serves delicious food. A shame not open for lunch or brunch. My red snapper was very good, I really enjoyed everything about this place. Highly recommended.

Came here on a Saturday night, it was mildly busy and I was in the mood for seafood. The food was spectacular, but the service was lacking… The busboy brought water immediately, but the waiter only came to the table once, plates and empty glasses stacked up, no refills on water and we couldn’t even get anyone’s attention for a second drink. That being said the food made up for the service the octopus was phenomenal, crab cakes full of fresh crab and the chicken was awesome. I would recommend this place for maybe a Tuesday afternoon because it seems maybe they’re understaffed

I was walking back from gym one day and the nice simple white interior of this place drew my attention and since then it was in my list to try.
finally we get to go for dinner tonight. everything was wonderful .The hostess was nice and friendly. the waitress was helpful and lovely. we had Spanakopita, melitzanosalata, Baked stuffed calamari and Plaki. Everything was delicious .we ordered yogurt for desserts and it was one of the best. we’ll definitely go back to try the rest of menu.
I’m happy to have such a nice greek restaurant in the neighborhood.

With a small sample size, Korali Estiatorio is the truth.
Quality Greek food is seriously lacking in this area of Upper East Side. I know because I lived in the neighborhood for a chunk and craved quality Mediterranean regularly, but with few satisfactory options. That’s now a thing of the past.
From the moment you enter you experience a brief trip to the cobblestoned streets of Mykonos (as much as one can experience without leaving Manhattan). Soft white décor and a smooth rock façade give off an easy, breezy vibe and alters your mood for the better. And with bar seating, a main dining room, a quieter dining room in the back, and an upstairs area that can accommodate 25 — 50 people (seated or cocktail style), there’s plenty of room to spread out.
On the food side of things, they nail the basics of Greek cuisine. Their grilled octopus has the proper mouthfeel and perfect char, the Halloumi was what you’d expect, but garnished with blistered grapes for a mildly sweet offset, and the branzino was served in the traditionally less-​is-​more style (salt, olive oil, capers) that makes it such an easy, yet satisfying entrée. Dessert included a homemade Greek yogurt topped with honey and dried fruits that shouldn’t be missed. You’ll never feel compelled to eat Chobani ever again. I was also able to indulge in a phyllo-​dough wrapped confection called galaktoboureko which should also be on your radar.
This is just a snap shot of their vast menu. I’m thoroughly looking forward to a return to experience some of their other options. Upper East Siders, this should be one of your new favorite restaurants.

My husband and I live around the corner and have eagerly been anticipating Korali opening. We went for dinner tonight and were extremely happy with everything. The food was amazing and our server was attentive and knowledgable. We started with the Greek salad which took me right back to my time in Greece a few years ago. My husband then had the lamb chops and I had a delicious white flaky fish recommended by our server. We loved our first experience at Korali and will definitely be back. Welcome to the neighborhood!
