Cool idea, poor execution. The jicama shells function more like tostadas so don’t bother bending them. The veggie tacos are pretty scant with ingredients(kale, pickled cabbage, corn and a ton of cilantro) so it was kind of irritating that you have to pay extra for avocado. Also, if the«roasted corn» is not actually canned, they need to get some char on there to convince me otherwise. The pork and sauce were good and the pork on a doughnut slider looked pretty intriguing but i was attempting to be calorie-conscious. Jicama NYC is currently apart of the UrbanSpace Garment District Market and if you’re craving some non-traditional tacos, go to Domo Taco instead.

Visited them at the Urbanspace Garment District Market. I ordered the Pork Doughnut Slider but they had ran out of pork(totally disappointing) so I got chicken in it instead and it was still very good, but I’m sure would be better with pork. Salty and sweet combo. I thought $ 9 was a little pricey for 1 slider. I also ordered the chicken taco with avocado and it was great. I would definitely come back if i don’t have to wait 20 minutes again! I asked why everyone behind me got their food before me and they said they had a malfunction with my order… interesting.

Delicious, creative, colorful, artistic! The Jicama pork tacos are by far my favorite. Mango slices and tons of yummy toppings. The mini tacos are also super good, especially the chicken chorizo ones :) ENJOY!

I loved the tacos – very creative. Took awhile as were popular and a long line…

Since I can’t eat gluten it was really exciting to have a delicious option at bway bites. The spring rolls were solid(you have the option to add meat or avocado to anything, or go veggie), but my favorite thing was the coconut curry soup. I even had a huge chunk of ginger in there! Nothing is better than this when you’re feeling under the weather and need to clear up your sinuses :-) Big plus that they take credit cards too!
