I’ve been searching for dumplings ever since a friend introduced me to them and I fell in love. This spot is in my neighborhood so I thought I’d check it out, despite the bad Unilocal reviews. We came in and ordered chicken dumplings, since they were out of pork. I watched the cook squirt oil on a pan, go back to the freezer, grab a Costco-size package of frozen dumplings, and throw them on the pan. They weren’t bad, but certainly not good, and I can’t bring myself to come back knowing they’re just out of a freezer bag.

After finishing up work, I was craving for some cheap food while I waited for my friend. I didn’t expect anything from this place. I kept my expectations low. I was hungry and all I wanted was something filling. Hard to expect much from a place reminiscent of some high school cafeteria that puts in little to no effort into the décor of the place. After waiting a few minutes for the cashier to come out of the bathroom(probably on his cellphone), I went with #4 Chicken and Shrimp with Steamed Rice. A somewhat awkward moment happened since the cashier somehow misheard my order and told me the credit card minimum was $ 8. The dish was around $ 9 and I repeated again, «I ordered #4 right?!» The food is average. The chicken portion tasted a bit… texturally off. I just wondered just what part of the chicken I was eating. Nothing special but it got the job done. It was well portioned for the amount of hunger I experienced that day. I didn’t get sick and I was so freaking relieved let me tell you!

I came here with a friend today for lunch. The food was mediocre at best, though I wasn’t expecting it to be incredible. The place reminded me of a dingy mall cafeteria with little effort being made to present and prepare good food. I honestly don’t know why people choose to open up restaurants like this when there is clearly no love going into the food. The worst part was I became sick about an hour later. I spent my entire day feeling ill, nauseated, and uncomfortable. I think back that maybe my shrimp wasn’t cooked all the way and appeared lightly pink, slimy, and soft. The rice had no flavor what so ever.

Had the sushi combo– ordered spicy tuna roll. I could not eat it. It tasted horrible, as if something was off. The string beans were great on the other hand.

Good portion for the price. The food is pretty decent, prices are fair for midtown. Definitely a great place to go to for lunch.

The meat smells, making the entire dish smell, and the noodles are incredibly overcooked. Tastes bad.

Where’s the dumplings? Lol This places seems to be a nice and clean Chinese take out place. I just didn’t understand why it has dumplings in its name since you have to look pretty hard for them in the menu.

We are here from out of town and happened on this place. It was bright and clean and quick, as well as reasonably price. My whole family enjoyed it.

This place really makes me miss Teriyaki Boy. That being said, this place isn’t bad. It’s basically Asian fast food. I’ve had the chicken teriyaki lunch special with noodles. The chicken is okay(Teriyaki Boy was much better!), but the steamed veggies and noodles were good. The tables have Sriracha sauce, and a little Sriracha sauce(or in my case a lot) goes a long way. Personally, I’d rather walk down to Main Noodle House(a short distance away), which has better food and more of a selection. However, Main Noodle House is often crowded. So, if you are hungry and want a quick, and filling, bite, Hibachi Dumpling Express is a good place to eat.

This place is great my co worker and I walked by it on our way to work and grabbed a menu. We both had the chicken with noddles and a order of dumplings for delivery now working the city u always have to wait but not here our order was delivered 15 mins later. The portion size was HUGE we both couldn’t finish the chicken had that nice crispy outside and noddles perfect and the dumplings were great very filling. The sad part is the food smelled so good that not only did we have people coming in our office to ask where we got it but we forgot to take picture too. It was so good we are prob gunna order it again tomorrow so pics to follow.

For a late night fast food place, the Hibachi Dumpling was pretty good. I had the shrimp tempura with fried rice. The fried rice was cook well and had good flavor. The shrimp tempura was some of the best I’ve had. If you’re looking for a different, yet good fast food place, this is the place you should have near the top of your list.

Fast food restaurant if you’re looking for a quick take out. Big portion 8 dumplings each order. got the chicken and shrimp dumplings. There was no taste to each and not fresh. Tasted like frozen dumplings they just boiled and fried. Service was fast and price is cheap $ 2⁄4 dumplings who can beat that. You get what you pay for which are Tastless bland dumplings. Go to Chinatown not this place!

I was pretty excited that this opened up right around the corner from my office. i mean, $ 2 dumplings! and they’re actually good. The chicken teriyaki with noodles is great too, the chicken is cooked well and it doesn’t make me feel like I’m eating mystery meat. they have at 14th street location too but i think this is better. I’ve gone to the 14th street location 3 times and they simply had run out of dumplings. one time i ordered something else and waited 45 minutes. the guy there just kept giving everyone else their orders but mine. Go to this location, the service it better plus the delivery is super quick.

This place is horrible. Food is just terrible and not cheap either, especially for the portion size. I made the mistake of ordering shrimp teriyaki. It tasted like absolutely nothing, which was probably for the best since the shrimp were not deveined and had a strange texture. Disgusting food. The only good thing about the place is the little packets of hot sauce you can grab on the way out. At least that provided some flavor. Grab a bunch of them.

For a midtown spot the price was excellent, the portion was tremendous, and the chicken teriyaki was quite tasty! The pork fried rice was a bit on the bland side but nothing a few squirts of Srirachia couldn’t fix… this place was«the tits»

I can’t help but think that since this place inherited a Two Bros pizza stand, they also inherited the phantoms of terrible food. Not only were the dumpling helpings tiny for the price, but it was just generic foodstand MSG garbage. The portions in the«tempura,» which was a soggy greasy fingerling of death, were clogged up by way too much overcooked vegetables and cold god-knows-what. An additional thank you to whoever is stuffing everything so it gets smushed together and breaks in the bag. If you want good Chinese food, do yourself a favor and walk the extra few blocks to Café China instead of punishing your stomach for the next 4 hours at work.

Wait time was too long for a) a dumpling place, and b) a midtown lunch place. The dumplings were tasty, but weren’t the most well made so a few of them fell apart on the fork(no chopsticks?) When the guy packs your bag he just tosses the condiments in, so they all spill out over the container and then transition to whatever surface you try to eat off of. Maybe they’re just getting their act together?

This place recently opened and took over the space occupied by a 2 Bros. Pizza. This cafeteria style place is very bright and clean inside as a result. The menu here is small and consists of teriyaki plates, dumplings, and fried noodles. I had the dumplings(4 for $ 1.99). They were actually very good and are just like the dumplings you find in Chinatown, except those are 4 or 5 for $ 1.00 or $ 1.25. The only type available here is pork and chives. The underside of them had a nice crispiness to them. They have srichacha sauce too. I also tried a chicken teriyaki plate with fried rice. The other sides available are white rice or fried noodles(lo mein). The fried rice was not greasy at all and has cabbage and carrot bits in it. It appears that they just take the steamed white rice and fry it very quick. The chicken teriyaki was not bad but is just average overall. They give you a generous amount of crispy meat. No teriyaki sauce in it though.
