Nothing special about this place. Everything is so-so. I’d always eaten there in person, and then one day I ordered seamless from them and they were later than they said they’d be. As a whole you may be better off somewhere else, particularly for delivery.

We popped in here for breakfast as it was a block from the apartment we are staying at. We got seated straight away even though it was a sunday morning and was really busy due to a street pop up market on 3rd ave. I opted for the brunch menu offer — lox benedict, mimosa(or fruit salad), tea or coffee and bread and butter pudding all for $ 18.95! Food tasted great and came out quickly. Few things to mention though — our server didn’t seem to understand english but he did get our order right. He also didnt bring out my pudding… having said that I am grateful as I was so full from the lox benedict! Overall good food with a small waiting time, happy customers

I loved the grilled chicken triple decker platter with turkey bacon. It comes with some coleslaw, pickle, & French fries. Surprisingly, the chicken is well cooked –juicy not dry even though it’s grilled. The bathroom was clean but very narrow. The service was inviting.

This place rocks for a diner. Don’t expect gourmet meals but it hits the spot for me every time. I stick with the things I know are good. I’ll give you a few must try’s. –ppl in the UES know their lemon chicken soup is a winner– get it –buff chicken wrap is one of the best I’ve had –Oreo cheesecake is money –burger w fries and BBQ sauce And it’s open 24 hours! Try it

We have only visited this restaurant for breakfast and always had a good experience. They have combo breakfast menu selections which are very reasonably priced. But one warning, if you want to as an example bacon or Sausage, expect a sizable plate as a side. I believe the side is good for two people. I visit this restaurant for breakfast every time I am over night in the Upper Eastside. Breakfast is always good.

Stopped in for a quick dessert, and I found some of the best bread pudding in town… service was quick and excellent… Management was great and everyone had a smile on their face… definitely a great find… apparently they have been in business since 1931.

Great diner and great late night diner. Have had their omelettes and home fries many times, and burgers on occasion. But on my recent visit the eggs Benedict and home fries were among the best I’ve had at a diner. They were well presented, just the right amount of sauce, and the home fries were cooked perfectly and had added fresh onions, as well as red and green peppers. So so good. I only ate half and when I brought the rest — as well as the bacon home — my son ate all the rest despite having had dinner out not long before … Also, the servers and hostess– very friendly, attentive service. They also deliver and are open 24 hours.

I go here about three times a month for breakfast. As far as neighborhood dinners for breakfast go, I think this is one of the best. I like that I can get Grits instead of hash browns with my eggs.

Typical diner with good food and good service. Nothing special or out of the ordinary but if you’re look for a casual place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner you won’t be disappointed.

I used to LOVE this place, but over time their food quality decreased? I used to always get the vegetarian quesadilla but I found hair in my food TWICE! so I stopped getting that So disgusting! Their utensils are always pretty dirty looking. Their customer service at night is great, but sucks during the day, which is odd. I’ve been here a bunch of times but the only thing that I consistently enjoy is their waffle fries! I’m not sure if I’ll return here.

This is a good local diner! 1) Coffee — Good, freshly made coffee. 2) Chocolate Chip Pancakes — Very well made, soft, light, not too thick! 3) Greek Frittata — Quite a big serving, had a decent amount of vegetables and cheese. Personally, would’ve liked a slice of toast with the frittata. 4) Bread pudding(free with brunch) — Nothing extraordinary, but it was a good and small serving!

Went in last night to pick up an order I placed through GrubHub, and one of the men behind the counter completely ignored me as I stood there for 5 minutes waiting to be assisted. When a white patron walked in, that same worker helped him out immediately. I made sure I called him out for this racist and deliberate lack of customer service. Another kind man at the register apologized repeatedly but I was already disgusted by the whole experience. Their food is much better than 3 Star Diner(across the street), but their prices can be absurd. Either way, there’s so many other diners on the UES — why even bother dealing with this establishment?

I’ve been here for breakfast a couple of times because I live close by, but it’s just not that great. They overcooked my eggs and melted cheese on top of my omelet instead of inside it. The staff is nice, but there are much better diners in the area– I like the Barking Dog and Gracie Mews Diner.

I live in the neighborhood so this is my GOTONYC diner. Open 24 hours and it’s always on point. Eggs Benedict all the time which is a plus for me and great melts. Nice UES gem.

Don’t know why this place doesn’t have better reviews?! It’s a great little diner in a great location. I’ve never had a bad dish here. Their burgers are really fantastic — and they’ll sub chicken or whole grain bread — and there are lots of options. Very clean and great service!

E-Scale: 1⁄10 Been here once, never returning. The food is not good, very bland. Is it healthy? Who knows, but as a 24 hour place, I expect good diner food. Not tasteless stuff that isnt seasoned well. If you want good diner food just go across the street to the other 24 hour diner.

Growing up in the suburbs of NYC, I’ve been to a TON of diners. I’m happy to say, I now live near this one! Green Kitchen knows what they are doing. They have a ton of business, with a constant flow of customers and quick table turnover for breakfast, brunch, lunch on a Saturday & Sunday. They have a ton of staff, who for the most part, are always on their A-game. Sometimes on the weekend, you may have to wait 5 minutes which isn’t a big deal, except there’s literally no room to wait. The menu is massive, as it should be in traditional diner world. With that said, I stick to my classics. I love the buffalo chicken wrap. Just delicious. Get the waffle fries over the regular fries… they are much better! They almost always overcook bacon here, so if you want it cooked normally, with a little grease and not dried out, you should specify. My one gripe is that prices are high. A diner meal shouldn’t cost $ 20 a person.

It’s Wednesday @3am & No one else is open. Done. This place is like the last option at closing time… you want that Dime from the beginning of the night, but she’s long gone, so you have to settle for THAT girl. Nothing wrong with that. Sometimes, they have a quality or an attribute that surprises you. Most of the time, you already know what you’re gonna get, cuz you’ve seen this movie before. That said, I don’t expect much from the typical neighborhood diner. It serves it’s purpose in this life. Average service and food. Been going here for years. It is what it is. Inconsistent, but not horrible service and typical diner grub. If that’s what you’re needing and craving, then this will do the job. Nothing should surprise you about the food here. Best thing about it is the openness of the right side of interior, because of floor to ceiling windows and it’s also never really crowded late at night, when I usually end up here. It’s a good enough NYC diner and it’s 24 hrs. Done.
