Should be zero stars if that was an option and the «manager» Marie should be fired! I never say someone should lose their job because I know everyone has bills but she was so rude! Mind you she was in the wrong! She had the worse attitude over the phone when I called to inform them that they had given me beef instead of a chicken patty. I haven’t eaten beef since I was 9. She got really nasty and loud with me so I came back to the location to get a refund. She never apologized or anything and luckily I found my receipt or I don’t know what would of happened. The needs a course in customer service. And I really do feel she owes me an apology. I had gotten caught in the rain and everything. I don’t want to make this a political issue but we don’t have many block owned businesses in Harlem and I would hate to have to stop supporting this one. (Not sure if it’s black owned but it employs many and I love that)

No no and no. not friendly. They are resting on the reputation of the Golden Crust name. Stingy portions and they are expensive. … pass. Unless you want a beef patty.

Disgusting service. Must buy a whole entrée. You can’t just buy meat without the bland cabbage and overcooked, tasteless rice. Bought a roti that was taken straight out of the refrigerator and it tasted that way. They didn’t even bother to warm it. Just threw it in the bag. Should have taken the hint when they were not open until 9:30 am. that morning. Went into the store and waited for the guy sweeping the store front to come in and tell me «miss I can’t help you right now, I have too many things to do». Wow! My dumb ass went back that evening for the aforementioned experience. Save your money and go somewhere else. Or, make it yourself. YouTube is loaded with how-​to recipes. Whoop, there it is!

This was a last minute place to grab a bite. Just visiting from California and walking down Lenox this was one of the few places open at the time. Doesn’t look like much but the food was good.
Never had Caribbean food before and I must say it’s delicious! Pretty heavy on the oil but the still good none the less. I had the oxtail and it was fall off the bone tender.

Very good chicken patty! Extremely slow service though. They need more than one person behind the counter/​at the register.

Pretty clean location.
Pretty DRY beef patties. So dry it felt I wS eating nothing but the krust with bean paste.
Service was prompt and attentive but I think that had more to do with the fact that
1– I was the only person in the place and I think they liked my outfit.
2– major parades were about to start
The beef patties do not give me confidence to try any other product and actually pay for it.

Terrible! I had the curry goat with white rice and the Goat was rubbery and chewy not at all tender or fall of the bone like it was at the Fordham location the rice was overcooked and mushy. My girlfriend had the rice and peas with jerked chicken and I thought hers would be better but nope rice and peas were dry and so was the chicken there was little to no meat on the chicken almost Cornish hen like. Oh and the service was bad too the cashier stood there for almost 5 minutes counting his register without ever looking up and telling us to give him a second or any type of acknowledgement. Avoid this Harlem location. Period.

Good authentic Jamaican food. Only down side is this location doesn’t serve pork products so limited menu.
