My love of dumpling kingdom runs deep. Whenever I am in the area around WSP and need a quick, cheap meal Dumpling Kingdom is always my go-to. The pork and chive dumplings are my absolute favorite, but any that I have tried have been delicious. Fast, affordable, and overall a great option for Chinese in the neighborhood.

I cannot believe this place was rated 4 stars. It was absolutely the worst Chinese food that I have ever had. The sesame chicken was watery and lack favor. The pork bun was dry and not sweet. Even the rice was overcooked. The only thing that was halfway decent was the spring roll. Very disappointing experience.

Had their food a few times for lunch. Their noodle soups are a little on the bland side so if you’re under the weather it would be perfect. Portion sizes are decent for the price as well. Don’t expect Shanghainese style soup dumplings though they are tasty. The scallion pancakes were on the thick side and very bready, which is not what i’m used to but may suit others. I would recommend the«mini hot pot» for those who are looking for some flavor and heat. All the homemade dumplings are ok if you want a quick fix.

Wow! I didn’t know dumplings could be this good. I will be dreaming about them from now on. Good for takeout — not a lot of seating room in there.

Dumpling Kingdom NY: Manhattan: SoHo 3pm Sunday 21st February 2016 Four Stars Bang! A quick steamed Pork and Chive Dumpling snack on the way to lunch. They were a bit expensive in comparison to the Chinatown locations but you know that got to pay that SoHo rent. The skin was a bit thick but the meat was moist, tender, and flavorful.

two stars for the food, which means OK. But zero star for the delivery service. They deliver without any patience, very rude and impolite. They text me to explain that the delivery man cannot earn much tips and its very cold. But don’t you think that his attitude is the reason he earn that little?

I feel bad giving a bad review to a little mom and pop type of place, but this is for fellow food enthusiasts: I was disappointed. Because of the great reviews, I thought this place was going to be better than a standard greasy Chinese good joint. It was only that. The soup dumplings tasted like regular dumplings, and mediocre ones at that, the scallion pancakes had no taste at all. The jade dumplings would have been acceptable if I really had the sense that they were«healthy,» but probably they were just as bad for me as anything else. Sorry, dumpling kingdom, I thought house made dumplings would be better.

Good dumplings and the lowest price point in the West(ish) Village area. Still not super cheap, but better than most. I like the thick dumpling ‘skin’ and the pork and chive steamed dumplings. The hot and sour soup is really good as well — best I’ve had in a long time. Delivery is pretty quick.

Great little corner noodles and dumpling café. Quick friendly service; large helpings, hot soup. Delicious and cheap way to fill in the food gap. My friend and were looking for a snack, found this joint and we were flying high in noodle land. Wish they had a local branch near my home in Florida. I want to eat these dumpling noodles every week.

Crab ragoons and dumplings were delish! The skin is pretty thick(not a fan) but the filling more than made up for that :)

Doughy, delicious, filling, and incredibly cheap. Better than Prosperity Dumpling, on par with Dumpling Man. 4.5÷5

This is a great little place for cheap, decent dumplings. They also have other Chinese food menu items, but I haven’t had that yet. Their dumplings are, again, decent little things. Everything’s pretty plain; but that’s not necessarily in a bad way. You can get 8 dumplings pretty cheap– either in a combo where you pick two types of dumplings(and you get 4 of each of those), or in a soup that includes noodles and vegetables. Very friendly staff, clean place!

This is a hidden gem. Everything is pretty good. You can get anything ranging from guilty fried crisp dumplings(which were good) to healthy roast pork over rice and vegetables(which was also good). Scallion pancakes were fluffy and fresh. Not your average Chinese take-out restaurant.

Love this small dumpling place! It’s really close to NYU campus and it has reasonable price. The fried veggie dumplings were the best!!!

This place is great for value. I go here often when I need a cheap meal, and it never disappoints. The food is great and cheap, and the service is pretty fast. There is a wide selection on the menu, so don’t let the name of the place fool you. I would recommend the ground pork over rice or noodles and the pork sandwich thingy. The wonton soup is all right, not bad, but again, you can’t beat the value with the price. Definitely come here if you’re looking for a really good cheap eat! Space is very cramped inside but available.

So I wouldn’t normally think of giving a chinese fast food take out place 5 stars but I have to given that I LOVE the dumplings here. And it’s probably more a personal liking situation but for take out, this place is affordable, the meat is not sketch, and everything is just really really tasty. I tried the pork and chive dumplings steamed, the pork and cabbage dumplings fried, and then the pork soup dumplings. I like them all equally. To note: the dumpling skins are definitely on the thick side which I like. The pan fried version might be just a tinge juicier. The soup dumplings are not delicate BUT full of soup and extremely filling.

$ 10 card minimum 10% off for NYU students! Great place to grab a quick bite to eat and it opens pretty late too. The dumplings are pretty good, but they can’t compare to homemade dumplings. I don’t like how the dumpling skin is so thick, but the filling tastes pretty good. I like the pork chive, pork cabbage, and the jade dumplings are pretty good when you want veggies. Get the combo to mix and match. I also get the scallion pancakes because it helps me meet the card minimum.

I was in a dumpling kind of mood, but not in the mood for Chinatown so I found Dumpling Kingdom! We ordered the jade dumplings, vegetable bun, scallion pancakes, and vegetable lo mein. The jade dumplings were my favorite dumplings ever. I really liked the thicker skin!(Some people don’t.) The scallion pancakes and vegetable lo men were pretty good. And the vegetable buns were saved for the next day and they were delicious reheated. The mushrooms inside gave them great umami flavor. I was also happy to find out that they deliver to us in east village! So I will definitely be ordering in the future. The only downside is that it is a bit expensive compared to other dumpling places, so Dumpling Kingdom may not be for those who are looking for crazy cheap dumplings.

Mom and I were craving dumplings and none of the go-tos were in the area. This place has the best scallion pancake, make sure you dip it in the chili oil. Only six seats in the whole place, but we came back the second night my mom enjoyed it so much. It is no frills but it is so new york in the best way

I did not expect this dumpling store to be so good. I ordered the Jade dumpling and I planned on only eating 2 – 3 pieces and saving the rest for portion control and I finished it within a matter of seconds. My gym buddy didn’t plan on ordering any and she eventually did and finished it too! It was soo good. Why? It was so flavorful and the dumpling skin wasn’t too thick either. The black sauce they give in tiny clear plastic containers is the mixture of vinegar and soy sauce that I thought was just soy sauce. I ended up just adding hot sauce. I can’t wait to go back and try the other veggie dumplings! This is truly a hidden gem. There’s not much seating but customers don’t usually sit down and take their time eating. It’s either take out or a quick meal and they bounce. The cashier was very polite and answered all of our food questions with no attitude!

Possibly the best dumplings I’ve ever had! Food was amazing top to bottom. We both had soups and they were both freakin awesome.

We ended up going here because Sacred Chow was closed, we were hungry, and it was right next door. This seems like it might just be for takeout, but they had a few barstools and we ate there. The spring rolls were delicious, as most spring rolls are. Though they had never heard of plum sauce. The tofu broccoli was actually very yummy. Tofu is difficult and they seem to have nailed it. Unfortunately this place is a dumpling house and the dumplings were not very good. They fell apart and just weren’t very good. The service was good, very friendly staff, but a definite language barrier.

For lunch one day I stopped here and tried the Lucy Combo. They have all kinds of dumplings and it was hard to choose — so for $ 10 this seemed like a great way to sample all of them. First, the restaurant is TINY. Be prepared to stand or eat elsewhere. I grabbed a spot and awkwardly ate my dumplings sandwiched between two other people. Going on — the dumplings were pretty good. They were freshly prepared(you can see them cooking hundreds of them in the back). The dipping sauce was tasty. All in all — hard to ask for more for $ 10.

Weekday Delivery Fast This review is only for Xiaolongbao(小笼包) $ 8.25. Dumplings were packed with pork but less soup in a dumpling. I wished there were more of that tasty soup. The sauce was a sweet-garlicky soy with light vinegar sauce. I prefer with traditional black sauce, Zhenjiang vinegar with few ginger slivers.
