Delson Jeffrey, MD

Beware that Dr. Delson’s is more concerned about the number of appointments he can get you to schedule with him versus ensuring that your medical needs are taken care of in a professional, ethical, and efficient manner. I recently moved to New York and registered with Dr. Delson. After two visits with him, he refused to write me a prescription with refills allowed for my recurring BP medication that I have been taking for several years. Instead, he insisted that I schedule appointments to see him every 3 months so that he can re-​write them (and get paid by me and my insurance company for each visit). He also does not respond to calls or emails so that you have to schedule an appointment to come in and speak with him. Instead of working with me, he literally told me, «Perhaps it’s best to go back to that doctor if he is still in business…» Funny enough, I found a fantastic new doctor in the same neighbourhood that sorted me out on the first visit and was much more friendly and easy-​going to deal with… and they are still in business! Beware of Dr. Delson’s selfish tactics if you are looking for a genuine and trustworthy doctor (and not a scammer).

He frowned at me and asked «do i know you?» when he first saw me at the door. Apparently he doesn’t use an assistant so he has to open the door himself even though he’s in the middle of a consultation, and he gets very impatient when you ring the door bell twice. This was how i was greeted as a new patient. He doesn’t seem to have the most basic quality of a decent doctor. I wouldn’t trust him to treat my injured back, or anything.

This guy is not a real doctor. This guy is a total hack. He must write his own reviews.

Needed to find a new doctor for a physical, so I went to Zoc Doc, and to be honest I only selected this guy because he had late appointments (6:30 pm!!!). I wasn’t sure what to expect, especially because I usually only feel comfortable seeing female doctors.
His office is very small, but so cute/​cozy. I mean it’s in the West Village, so it’s in the cutest area.
He is AMAZING. So, so, so, so friendly, personable, caring, and patient. Most doctors seem like they have a million things they’d rather be doing, and often come in very rushed and ready to head to the next patient. He and I had a nice long conversation about various topics pertaining to work, sports, etc. in addition to my physical that I was there for. He also seems incredibly knowledgable, organized, and thorough.
He’s always available over email, and responds quickly.
I cannot recommend him enough!

He is so kind and attentive, I can’t believe how lucky I was to find a doctor that I feel really listens to me and is willing to take my bumps and bruises a little more seriously.
His office is located on an adorable street in the West Village, and the interior is just as welcoming. I felt like I had stepped into his home.
I’ve never had trust in a doctor like I have in him.

The best. Simply put. Easy appointments through ZocDoc and a wonderful bedside manner. Down to Earth and you walk out feeling better than when you walked in. Isn’t that what is suppose to happen?

Dr. Delson’s the best doctor I’ve had. He’s personable, intelligent, and down to earth. Not to mention, very very reliable and sees patients on the spot. I’d recommend him to anyone

I don’t usually post about doctors however Dr Jeffrey Delson is an exception. Not only did he prescribe me a strong medication that I didn’t need, when I asked about the side effects he told me there were none, when in fact as I learned first-​hand, they are quite serious. I went to him about a very intense problem, and he did nothing but tell me three times (and very inappropriately) that I had gorgeous legs, and that someone with such pretty legs should not be concerned about anything. There are much better doctors in this city you can go to.

jeff delson is by far one of the best doctors i have ever had.
he takes time to listen to your concerns and helps you understand your injury/​illness/​etc.
he’s great with acupuncture and herbal remedies as well!

After getting a new job & subsequent health insurance I searched the area near my office for a new physician and he was the first on one there. I gave it a shot for an annual checkup after Google’ing him a bit.
You can email the guy directly to get an appointment. Also his appointment slots, while a bit funky, you can easily put yourself in the same day. He responded back within the hour, too!
Actually meeting him was nothing less than pleasant. He’s got a fantastic sense of humor, his explanations of everything makes sense and is overall extremely approachable. His office, while a bit small, is very welcoming too. He’s definitely my PCP from here on out.
Fun fact: he was a ballet dancer over in Europe.
