I’ve been coming to Delphinium Home for years whenever I need a card for a special occasion or holiday. They are so nice and helpful here and they have great stuff for gifts. The store itself is very cute and smells amazing because of their awesome candles. And they have some great books and just all sorts of kitschy stuff. Love it here!

I really love all of the products in this store! My only complaint is about a few of the men who work there! They’re super rude and unfriendly. But that kind of goes hand-​in-​hand with NYC!

Adorable. They have the most interesting inventory. I could spend a lot of time browsing, even though the shop is a little small. I bought a box of stationery here that I love (though did recently see the same one at Papyrus for cheaper). Would absolutely come again.

Delphinium has been a staple of Hell’s Kitchen for years, and it’s no wonder why. They’ve got a curated selection of products for any occasion, from the funny to the sassy and everything in-​between.
They use their space efficiently. The more I browse the store, the more I uncover. The first time I stopped in, I left with something I wasn’t planning on buying.
Stop in if you’re looking to add character to your living space, or want a memorable gift for those special someones.

This is my favorite neighborhood gift store. They have everything!
I needed a box and some wrapping paper/​bow/​card for a gift and so this was the obvious choice as it’s half a block from me. It’s also the obvious choice because they have the most beautiful selection of gifts, candles, frames, etc. It’s a great place to buy a nice birthday/​anniversary, etc gift.
I went in and on the off chance they sold them, asked for a box. The really friendly guy at the register found a box and made sure it fit and then gave it to me. So nice!
I went and found the perfect gift wrap, they have a good selection of all different kids, picked up a card from their rather large collection, got some tissue paper and beautiful material to make a bow and then was off!
Staff here is amazing, selection amazing, everything AMAZING.

Came here for a birthday present and card, and found so many things that were PERFECT!
It’s nice to have such a sweet little gift shop around the corner from such a touristy area. We had so much fun looking around at everything, from whimsical décor to eclectic toys, elegant candles, and a great assortment of cards.
The store manager was really helpful and gave us an unexpected discount and wrapped our presents beautifully.
I am definitely coming back!

Adorable gift shop with a great card selection. I bought a card & a tree ornament as a thank you for my hostess. It’s a small shop, but there is a lot to look at. If you are in the area, check it out.

Wonderful incredibly fragrant candles sold here! I’ve bought two candles here for my apartment, both of them burn very slowly and emit wonderful scents.

This is one of those lovely shops where I spend too much of my time buying/​looking at things I don’t necessarily need but wish I own. If you want to give a unique present, whimsical/​funny cards, something for your abode, or just to browse and get a few chuckles, this is the place to go. I loved their boxed thank-​you cards as they’re always eclectic and something you don’t find anywhere else.
The staff here is also very friendly and helpful, and it helps that the store takes credit cards. Glad there’s this little gem in this neighborhood!

I love shops like Delphinium that carry lots of candles, stationary, home décor and unique gifts/​gadgets. Would definitely visit again!

We finally got around to visiting their current location two days ago — and although it’s small, they have lots of cute items. In particular, there were many very humorous (small) books and a terrific selection of cards. The two guys working there (owners-​?) were pleasant. The only negative was that they were *blasting* music during most of our time there.

I love this place !! When they first opened on 9^th Avenue, I bought lots of fantastic goodies for my new apartment in the city.
Everything from artsy male swimmer towel hooks to plants to canisters for the kitchen. I knew I could come here for quality and for unique items.
They Have an eclectic and really cool collection of goodies! They also have a fantastic candle collection, and the best cards! The people that work here are super sweet and amazingly helpful. The store is well organized but also a bit of a treasure hunt. They do a nice job blending the two.

Here’s a pop quiz for you:
Q1: What’s a large and rectangular thing and usually has a knob or a handle, maybe a pane of glass and you use it to get in or out of a place?
Q2: What’s a big, beefy, hairy thing with horns and perhaps a ring through it’s nose and it snorts a lot? And you can see one running through the streets of Pamplona.
(And the answer is not that Moroccan guy I met at that leather bar in Madrid during my last trip to Spain.)
When you put those two answers together, you get a description of this store. Okay, now what do you get?

Okay, I’ll spell it out for you. This shop is adorable! They have a great selection of gifts and home items, but I don’t care about that stuff. I like unique birthday and Christmas cards and I thought I was going to have to go all the way back to Exit 9 in Brooklyn to get cards for the holidays but I found this place and my needs were met 100%.
The guys in the store were very nice and super helpful and the selection was fantastic.
The next time you receive a clever, original and thoughtful birthday card from me, you can just assume it came from here.

Fun little card and gift boutique in the heart of Hell’s Kitchen. Good selection of all-​occasion greeting cards and gift wrap, as well as small speciality gifts.
Gay owned and operated, with a very friendly staff. The owner has a good eye for stocking the store with creative, unique gifts and novelties.
A bit expensive, but well worth the visit to find something special.

This place was really kewl! After reading all of the positive reviews on Unilocal,my sister and I decided to check this place out and we weren’t disappointed. Really random, awesome collection of just about anything you could ever want.
Also, the staff were amazing! They didn’t bother us at all while we took our time browsing around the store and when we checked out, they made pleasant conversation with us. :)
I will DEFINITELY pop in here the next time I’m in the city.

Great little shop in Hell’s Kitchen. Good card selection, but not huge. This isn’t a Hallmark Store (thank god). They also have a nice selection of knick-​knacks. It’s kind of a hole in the wall, but they’ve got lots of signage out front, so you can’t miss it. And the people that work here are quite nice. Definitely recommended.

It’s a one stop shop if you need to buy gifts or cards for any occasion. The staff is so pleasant and helpful as well.
The only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because its a bit pricey, not that I blame them, their rent is probably sky high.
But expect to spend a pretty penny in there, but totally worth it.
Anything I buy from there usually will WOW someone.

Delphinium home is a gem in Hell’s Kitchen !
Original location was on 9^th avenue between 46 and 45 street, right next to mercury, was a small, cute store. Now they are located on 47 street, between 8 th and 9 avenue, in a location that is twice the size of the old store !
At delphinium home you can find many UNIQUE household items, creative and super original gifts, candles, home décor and THE BEST card selection I have ever seen ! I always come here on any special event for cards even now when I don’t live a block away LOL
People are always in awe with these awesome cards, delphinium home is a bit on the pricey side but trust me it’s totally worth it and it’s great to support a TRUE neighborhood store ! The guys that own it and run it are absolute sweethearts it’s a total pleasure to shop here !

If you’re looking for a unique gift that both fun and functional, this is the place to go. The store is small, but they have a pretty good selection of some fun toys. A little pricey, but still a great place to check out if you’re in the area.
