I’d been meaning to check out B&L since they opened in December 2014. And though it took me about a year, I’m super glad I finally found my way over. I ordered their steamed lobster, which was super delicious, and their fries are addicting. My fiancé enjoyed his burger, so really no complaints! I just hope it doesn’t take me another year to get back there.

This place is true to it’s name. It has burgers and lobster(either whole or in a roll). I’m not into lobster, but I have a friend who is, so I’ve been here a few times. This is obviously a great place if you love lobster, but is the burger worth it? Like the lobster choices, it’s $ 20, which is a bit steep. That does include cheese, bacon, a small side salad, and fries. It’s a good burger too — one of the better ones I’ve had. The bun is good, the patty in a nice size and cooked to order, and the extras are all solid as well. The regular fries are pretty good, but if you ask to have them cooked extra crispy they are even better. The salad is simple but good too. So is it worth coming here just for the burgers? Maybe if your in the neighborhood. The burgers aren’t cheap, but the place is nice and it’s big enough that it’s usually not hard to get a table. It’s fancier than a take out place, and the service is solid. If you’re coming with someone who loves lobster… this is an easy choice. You’ll both eat well.

I’ve been meaning to try this place for some time now. Boy, I was not disappointed. I arrived around 4:30ish on a saturday. I didn’t expect a wait but there was a slight wait, around 10 – 15 minutes, which wasn’t so bad. It was worth the way because the food was amazing! They have only 3 things on the menu, which makes things SO much easier for me because I’m probably the most indecisive person ever, especially when it comes down to choose what to eat. Oh, the struggles of life. They have: lobster roll, grilled or steamed lobster, and a burger(with optional: free cheese and bacon). Of course, being that we couldn’t choose between those 3, we got them all like fatties. Each cost $ 20. They also have a combo for $ 60, which includes 2 burgers, 2 half lobsters, salad, fries, and dessert. It didn’t come with the lobster roll so we decided not to order that. Every meal comes with the salad and fries also. The lobster comes with this amazing lemon garlic butter sauce, which we used to dip everything except for the salad. FYI, they offer a drink menu with a large selection of drinks. Service was good. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Food was awesome. I definitely recommend this place.

There is only 3 options on the menu but that is all you need. Lost one star because the wait for a table is crazy long!!! came here with 10 people and still had to wait 1 hour. 3 options: $ 20 each all come with fries & salad(soooo good) 1) Burger 2) Lobster roll — they give so much lobster meat it is so worth it!!! 3) Lobster(steamed or grilled, with plain or lemon & garlic butter) Also, combo: $ 60 for 2 burgers, 1 lobster or lobster roll, 2 fries, 2 salads, 2 desserts. i will be back but please we dont want to wait so longgggggggggggggggg!!!

Menu is simple as f***. Our server was chill as f***. Food was good as f***. YES. There’s only 3 things on the menu. Lobster, burger, or a lobster roll. For all of those who have decision making problems, not hard to choose. Or come with 3 and try everything! They have a cute tank to display lobsters in varying sizes, some were bigger than my dog!

Love it! They have 3 things on the menu so it makes choosing nice and simple. Each choice comes with fries and a salad. Both are great. I’ve had all three options, not at the same time haha, and all are great. If you still have room… Go for the strawberry shortcake dessert :)

I can’t get enough of this place! Reservations are not accepted, so expect a long wait for a table during dinner times, but you will not be disappointed! The restaurant is huge and easily accommodates large parties! Menu is super easy: choice of burger, grilled or steamed lobster, or lobster for $ 20. Each entrée comes with a side of fries and dressed salad. A combo for 2 is also available that comes with 2 burgers and a 1.5 lb steamed lobster and 2 desserts for $ 60. If you have a large party, ask about a Big Boy lobster option at $ 20/lb which will come with unlimited fries and salad! My favorite is definitely the buttery lobster roll! It’s 6 ounces of delicious creamy lobster in a buttery toasted roll. Also, save room for dessert. They generally have an assortment of ice cream or sorbet, but my go-to is the strawberry cheesecake mousse with graham cracker crumble and nuts. It’s so light, it’s tastes like sweet yogurt. Service has always been nice and efficient. Restrooms are downstairs. Fresh lobsters are also stored downstairs where you can learn more about their journey and process. Burger & Lobster: Thank you for coming to NYC from the UK!!! Please don’t change!

There are only three things on the menu: the burger, the lobster roll and steamed lobster for $ 20 each. There are more drinks than there are food. Although there are only three things on the menu, it’s all they really need. What can go wrong with lobster? The food was good and our waiter was good until one of my friends got the wrong order. There were 10 of us and we all either wanted a lobster roll or the steamed lobster. My friend originally wanted the steamed lobster but changed his mind and ordered the lobster roll. The waiter instead got him the steamed lobster. I wasn’t sure what happened at the moment since it was really loud in the restaurant but the second the manager came and the first thing he said was«Who’s going to pay for that?» it got my attention. As a manager, the way he approached it was wrong. Instead of understanding the situation first and try to find a solution, he went straight to getting on the customer’s bad side. He made my friend feel bad and at fault when it was just a misunderstanding. He then says«We don’t want to waste food.» Like hello, you guys only have 3 things on the menu, someone is bound to order a steamed lobster. How is anyone wasting food?! My friend said he’ll pay for that but he wanted the lobster roll as well. He tried to explain to the manager the situation and then the manager finally came to a conclusion to take away the order and give him the lobster roll. He says«Okay gotcha I finally understand I will change the order now.» Why didn’t he try to understand the situation in the first place instead of causing all that fuss and making everyone feel uncomfortable? It was just a miscommunication issue and the restaurant was loud, it’s no one to blame but he made the situation worse than it was. The food was good but only because it’s lobster. I originally wanted to give them four stars because of the food but I honestly believe the service makes the experience whole and if the service is not good, then it goes with the rating of the restaurant. The food was still bombdotcom.

Great place. Love the concept. $ 20 each for a decent burger, great lobster, and good lobster roll. All come with fries and a side salad. Awesome full bar. Suggestion: if you get the lobster and the lobster roll pour some of the lobster dipping sauce on the lobster roll! Delicious!

Cool and simple concept. Three menu items. A burger, a lobster roll or this combo that involves 2 burgers and a lobster to share. All meals come with fries and a salad. Prices are 20 bucks each and 60 for the ‘fat and sassy’ combo as I call it. It’s stupid simple that would have me in a raging fury if the execution was bad… But Holy crap. PERFECTEXECUTION. Let’s dive in, The burger is a freshly made beef burger that you could swear a celeb cook made. It manages to stay extremely juicy and simple without feeling overly fatty. The bun and toppings perfectly compliment the masterpiece. The lobster roll is a decently sized roll that is priced perfectly with the fries and salad. I really can’t go on much more about this place because it’s so Damn simple… and it just works. The atmosphere, the service, the concept and the food. I try not to throw around 5⁄5 stars… But this place deserves one CHECKITOUT

Was 1000% into the lobster and lobster roll, but I’ve had better burgers. Love that everything comes with fries and a little salad(healthy, right?). Also if it’s your first time, I highly recommend getting one of each!

This place is pretty amazing. Let’s just begin by saying simplicity is the reason why Burger & Lobster does so well. They have no menu and your choices are limited to 3 options: — A Burger — A Lobster Roll — A 1.5 lb Lobster Grilled or Boiled All 3 menu options are served with french fries and a salad. Another reason that makes this place so amazing is the great wine list and their large selection of Six Point beers including a brew made only for Burger & Lobster called The Beer.

Yum! Only 3 items on the menu, lobster steam or grilled, lobster roll or the burger. And it comes with a side of salad and french fries. And every entrée was 20 bucks. I had the grilled lobster and that was delicious. Can’t say it’s the biggest lobster ever but it was decent size. The butter they give you to dip the lobster was delicious. It was buttery and garlicky and very yummy. And the salad and french fries were very good as well. The food came out very quickly after we placed our orders too. Drinks were also reasonably priced for the city. Service got a bit slow when they got busy but overall OK. Will be back again!

We were wandering around the area and came upon this restaurant. It was my first time eating here, so I was not familiar with the menu. Once you are seated at your table, you only get a beverage menu. The actual menu is posted near the entrance. So pay attention to that. The idea is the menu is so simple that you do not need a written menu to refer to, as they only serve burgers or lobsters. Also, the server does explain the 3 simple options they offer. I like restaurants with a simple menu. But I would still like a written menu. Or at least a large enough menu board that everyone can glance at. Because sometimes we don’t pay attention to the server when he/she is speaking. The website also does not have an informative menu. It says they serve burger & lobster… Well, thanks for that, I guess? Anyways… 3 options: $ 20 each all come with fries & salad 1) Burger(10 oz. beef) 2) Lobster roll(served cold, dressed in Japanese mayo, on a toasted brioche bun) 3) Lobster(1.5 lb., steamed or grilled, with plain or lemon & garlic butter) Also, combo: $ 60 for 2 burgers, 1 lobster or lobster roll, 2 fries, 2 salads, 2 desserts. To me, that is not too great of a deal. Firstly, I don’t care for fries or side salads. They’re usually just fillers. Also, I think a burger has to be really good with quality meat and fresh bread to be worth $ 20. Plus I don’t even know what their desserts are, because I have no idea where to look up that info, except in other Unilocal reviews, I suppose. You can also buy the giant lobsters from the tank in various sizes near the entrance. So after you order your food, they bib you & then you can eat. The service was very good. Now, about the food… Lobster roll — really good. The chunks of lobster meat were big. You can really sink your teeth into this sandwich. The split brioche bread was buttery deliciousness. I like the Japanese mayo they use and was glad to see that they are not too heavy handed with it. Lobster — For 1.5 pounds, I would say this is the only thing at Burger & Lobster actually worth getting. If you’re eating shellfish with me, I’m sorry but you will have to be patient. I was brought up in a family that appreciates food and we do not waste food. So I will sit there and pick out every morsel and take out all the tiny bits from the legs. There is good stuff in the skinny legs! I went with the steamed lobster, because I think that grilled lobster tends to be dry. The lobster was cooked well. It was not out-of-this-world, best-lobster-ever, but for the price, I think it’s pretty good. Also, the lemon garlic butter is a good sauce, and goes well with the fries. The fries are nice and crunchy. The salad is decent and dressed well, but tiny. If I ever came back, I’d get the lobster, because I think $ 20 is a good price for a 1.5 pound lobster. For that, I can forgive the confusion over the supposedly so simple menu that they don’t give you a menu.

I feel like this is probably one of the best deals in town. The restaurant only offer three items on the menu, and all are $ 20. You can either get a burger, a lobster roll or a whole lobster(steamed or grilled), and all three come with a side of fries and salad. I got the lobster roll and it was packed full of lobster meat. They use a Japanese mayo(the waiter says Japanese mayo is lighter) on the lobster and and bun is buttery goodness. I think they use browned butter on the rolls because I can smell this nutty caramel-ness emanating from the bun. I couldn’t quite tell due to the well buttered-ness of the buns, but I think it’s white bread, not a brioche bun. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The dinning room is huge, too. We rolled in 12 deep for lunch without a reservation at 12:20 and we were seated right away. What more can you ask for?

Simple menu, big flavors. If you like burgers and you like lobster this is the place to go. We came here on a Monday evening and the wait was about 20 minutes for a table. The restaurant is super spacious, there is a huge bar, and the ambiance is casual. As we sat down we were given a rather large drink menu, but no food menu. Our waiter approached us after a few moments and explained the menu: the burger, the lobster roll, and the whole lobster. Yes, that’s it. No room to be indecisive or picky. Each of the items on the menu are served with fries and a salad. Because we didn’t want to work for our food, we opted for the burger and the lobster roll(which we shared equally among each other). The burger was juicy and was served with cheese, bacon, and the usual veggies. The patty was cooked well and was moist on the inside. I also enjoyed the sesame bun that the burger was served on. The lobster roll was delicious. The bread that was holding all the lobster was perfect. It was super buttery, flaky and toasty on the outside and soft on the inside. The roll was jam packed with tons of lobster mixed with Japanese mayo(which is a bit lighter than regular mayo). Both dishes were served with fries and a side salad. The fries were thin cut and fried to a crisp. They were not overly salty. The side salad was tasty as well. It was a very simple house salad with romaine, red onions, radishes and a simple vinaigrette. The salad was not overdressed and added a light freshness to the meals. My only complain was that the dishes were too small. My taste buds were very content with all the flavors and textures of the meal, just not the size. We were left wanting more after we finished the meal. I liked the concept of this place: simple ingredients and simple menu in a big family style restaurant. There were booths and there were also cafeteria style tables with different parties on one table. Our waiter was friendly but did not visit our table as often as we needed our drinks replenished. All in all, I will absolutely be back to eat here again.

Not a lot of restaurants realize that simple menus are the best. I loathe reading through pages and pages of menu-scripts that old-fashioned places accustomed to — I will take brilliantly done short menu in NY minute over that. Burger & Lobster delivers just that — brilliant shortest menu yet, with brilliant dishes. I mean, what can beat burger and lobster? Opening their first location across the pond, in our neck of the woods, they quickly becoming popular destination. There are three main items on menu — burger, lobster and lobster roll. All served with salad & fries, each $ 20. Easy peasy. You can order extras, of course — salad, desserts, and full bar is available.(BTW, bar are itself is huge and spectacular, not to mention secondary bar downstairs, and additonal seating area) Lobster roll is delish! I would not say it is as good as ones in Maine, but it is pretty darn awesome. Bun is perfectly toasted and light, lobster meat is buttery and heaped on top of the roll in abundance. Make sure to try daily desserts too — they are so, so good! Curiosity item — there is a huge fish tank by the entrance with enormous lobsters — they seem to be bigger than myself! Hope nobody eats them, they look cool in there. Love the atmosphere, the open feel of the place and the awesome graphics on the walls.(speaking of graphics, their website is absolutely fantastically done!) It’s great for lunch, it’s great for dinner, for get together with friends, or to stop and have quick bite at the bar during your travels. Highly recommend.

Xmas eve walk in… No wait if you go before 6pm. I thought that it was really cute that the waiters had xmas themed hats or elf ears. I commented on our waiters elf ears and he joked staying, «thanks, I grew them myself!» Very friendly staff and great service. Easiest menu in the books… because they have no menu! Just look up and see a sign hanging down. Don’t get confused when they just hand you a menu with drinks(unless you can’t wait to get drunk!) Choose either:($ 20 each) 1) lobster 2) lobster roll 3) beef burger 4) There is a combo, which they don’t have up but they do mention it. Its a 2 burger and lobster for $ 60, which we didn’t think was much different than ordering 3 items above. **NOTE: If you are coming with 2 people. I suggest just getting 2 meals and splitting it so you can try different things. 3 people would be better so you can get all 3 items on the meal. I do warn you that 2 meals are more than enough for 2.5 people(yes half of a person). We couldn’t even finish everything… I was so sad because I have a soft spot for fries, but I couldn’t even eat half of it. 1) Burger –Cooked to your liking. I had mine medium. –The stack was humongous, even though I only had half, I was scared that I wouldn’t be able to finish my lobster. –The bun was a nice buttery sesame bun and the meat was juicy! –We added cheese and bacon(no extra cost) that brought out more flavors. Highly recommend! 2) Lobster –The portions were large and definitely worth it! –You can order it steamed or grilled. The waiter noted that the steamed would be a little more juicier than the grilled, but both would be amazing. I had it grilled because I was something different than what I normally get(steamed) and I am glad I had it that way. It was still juicy and it had that little chard top. I think you can’t go wrong either way. –They give you a side of butter with garlic and cilantro and it was perfect to dip the lobster in. It will start to thicken, so I suggest that as much as you want to enjoy your meal, dip into that butter right away! Sides: COMESWITHEVERYMEAL 1) Fries — I love that they are skinny and slated to perfection. 2) Salad — the dressing was very light, but just like any other salad. Overall: Definitely worth the price for the large amount you get and I can’t wait to come back again!

This place is one of the most affordable places for either a lobster roll or whole lobster meal with fries and salad! The only other option is a ten ounce burger with fries and salad. All great options. I ordered the lobster roll which is about 6 ounces of lobster. It was good, not great. The bun was not cut deep enough to hold all the lobster and a little tough to eat. My boyfriend had the grilled whole lobster and he said it was lack luster with no lobster taste. Really disappointing. The saving grace was the garlic lemon butter, which was rich and gave some flavor to the lobster. The fries were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Really great. The salad was overdressed. Overall, I would come back, but it was only okay.

Everything on the menu is good. I ordered the grilled lobster, but I also tried some of my friend’s lobster rolls. My other friends who got the burger also raved about it too. I love seafood and the lobster is cooked perfectly. It was tender, not tough at all. Just for a head’s up, when you are ordering the whole lobster, you are going to have to use the lobster cracker that they provide you with to crack open the claws. Other than that, the restaurant does majority of the work for you. All you have to do is use your fork to remove the meat from the shell. The garlic butter sauce is so freaking good. My only problem was that, I was still kind of hungry after my meal. I think the next time I go, I might get the combo deal or share another dish with a friend.
