It’s a really good place in theory. Delicious sandwiches, pastries, juices and coffee. Casual seating. However, it is really expensive for a place that doesn’t have table service. The sandwiches are good but overpriced. Also there’s something wrong with their panini press — bread is never that warm. They also need to toast it again after putting the ingredients inside :(Cold cheese isn’t so great.

Usually really good but for some reason today my panini was 3 ounces of bread and 1 ounce of meat. The prosciutto panini costs $ 14 and I bought two of them. $ 30 dollars on sandwiches later and still hungry, I had to supplement my dinner with pasta.

Best for a quick bite or coffee Mozz, tomato and pesto sandwich was decent. Fresh savory pesto and flavorful tomato. The latte was missing the velvet milk top that I love. Coffee itself was solid. Not sure how people claim the banana crêpe cake is the next best thing. The tiny slice, sub par cream, $ 7.80 price tag had us confused. Go to Lady M instead for this. At that price and measly size, doubt this place will last very long despite the hip factor. For a better experience go to Maman, Ceci Cela or Balthazar instead. All within a 15min walk.

Love the food, however service is not so good. If you are in a rush forget it! They take their sweet time to make anything even a glass of water. The staff always seems distracted and lost, so very often the orders come out wrong in some way. If you want to leave out any ingredient or use a different bread for the sandwiches, you are asking for disaster. The only time things seem to run smooth is when the owner is in and helping, otherwise even with a staff of 4 – 5 people make sure you have at least 20minutes for a plain cup of coffee.

This is review for the crêpe cake. This crêpe cake is so delicious. It’s different from the lady m crêpe cake. Stick with the original crêpe cake here. The crème and layers are a bit thick but the texture of the crème is great and sweetness is just right.

This place has the best sandwiches. They are the closest thing to a delicious sandwich in Paris or Rome. American culture does not have good, quick, grab-on-the-go foods but Bottega Falai fills that need. Also the staff is super nice as is the owner. I met him briefly and raved about his sandwiches and his staff, he was very kind. I hope this place lasts a very long time.

love their panini but serious problem with their AC. İt is always hot in that place no air. And girls at the counter are not very bright. Could be a better and cleaner place.

Please ask for the price before you order any of the sandwiches here. I was mortified when I was handed a bill for $ 16 for a small non-customized turkey sandwich(size of a McDonalds’ hamburger) and a small bottled lemon soda. The sandwich was«okay» but it was a tiny nondescript number with cheese-lettuce-tomato. There were no side accompaniments such as chips, a pickle or coleslaw. This palm-sized sandwich was more than $ 10. This display case did not list a price. Holy cow! My local Korean place will make something twice that size for $ 6. On the positive side, the place was really pretty and clean and the staff were professional and attentive but the sandwiches are NOT value for money. Ask for a price before taking your first bite.

Great location, great atmosphere! It’s rather quaint and small — the walls are white with black counter tops making it look more elegant and sophisticated. There are two large communal tables and then a bar seating along the window and near the cashier. I took my mom with me because of the reputation of their crepes. So naturally we had a crêpe– deciding which one: banana, caramel, chocolate, strawberry and vanilla were difficult choices to decide upon but I remained with the classic! Not going to lie– it’s a bit pricey but you get a good portion of the crêpe and it’s maybe 3 – 4 inches thick/tall. Topped with Carmelites sugar which adds a sweet and crunch aspect provides a great first impression on in your mouth. I only gave this four stars because I didn’t favor the cream at all. It was too rich and too thick– I recommend adding less cream within each layer and also make sure they are fresh so the fat from the cream does not naturally solidify which added this waxy taste in your mouth.

Stopped in for some macaroons since they looked great in the pictures the other reviews had posted. Upon asking for macaroons after looking into the near empty case I was told by Mr Mustache guy in a condescending way that they don’t have macaroons because«those are French». Gee thanks poindexter I was totally clueless otherwise.

Bottega Falai reminded me how much better food is in New York than anywhere else, how much harder it is to compete in this market than, say, Atlanta, and literally made me reassess the way I have rated other(non-NYC) places. I had a prisciutto cotto panini, and a avocado salad, both of which were excellent; I had a lemon Italian soda of some kind, like an Orangina or San Pellegrino but from a different company. As a table, we shared three types of their famous crêpe cake: chocolate, strawberry, and sweet cream. All were mind-blowingly good. I accompanied dessert with an exquisite Café Americano. The décor is charming and unique within my experience, with a variety of worn white tiles on both the floor and walls. The owner, a taciturn middle-aged import himself, came and sat with our party for a while. The fellow manning the cash register was either Italian or French himself, with hipster glasses and an ironic moustache. We spent at least two hours, with the door open to a slightly-chilly breeze, and a steady stream of pedestrians entering and leaving. The experience was *very* New York, and I loved it.

Came in for a cappuccino with my friends after a late brunch ! The employees here are so nice and accommodated. I had a cappuccino and be banana crêpe cake it was so delicious. It was sweet but not too sweet just right! Also had the fruit tart — I was delighted since the fruit were fresh. Centrally located I’ll definitely make my way over again after shopping on Broadway.

A nice little café that is easy to stop into after shopping in SoHo. They serve coffee and other other perk you up beverages. And you can either go for a nice pastry or a light sandwich or salad. The pastries are my favorite, especially the custard bambolini. For the size of any of the food, it is pricey, but in this part of the city, that is not entirely unexpected. It is small and cozy, so don‘t bring more than 1 – 2 of your friends if you want to sit down.

Good Italian sandwiches. Great alternative to Starbucks, espcially if you are pining for a European café. I agree with the person who called it «a journey into europe without the plane fare…» Service can be a bit slow, and they sometimes run out of the good stuff. But I will be back!

I have been here a couple of times. I like the sandwich here! They use fresh meat bread. The soup is great. I also tried the banana crepes cake! Delicious! Worth to try;)

Only had passion fruit cheesecake and it was really ggod!!! See my PIC, three layers of deliciousness. However, top layer is a bit too gelatin and rest of cheesecake falls apart as bottom graham cracker is quite hard to cut. It was only $ 5.50 for a fancy soho shop as outside décor is pretty fancy. Will definitely come back to try their crêpe cakes and sandwiches.

This place is a cute café for a quick and fresh meal and cup of coffee or tea. They have a large variety of fresh sandwiches and pastries at reasonable«Manhattan» prices. The staff is very friendly and service is fast. Great place to meet a friend or get some work done.

This is strictly on Crêpe cake(please make sure). After getting hooked with lady M I have been looking for any other places with crêpe cake. I happened to pass by today, so decided to check it out. The store was pretty neat, and the service was very adequate. However, the crêpe cake was far removed from the standard set by lady M to me. First of all the crêpe was not thin and soft enough, so the cake lost the integrity the minute I dug in. Also, there was too much cream which didn’t really integrate with crêpe well.

Great place to nosh in Little Italy. Inexpensive Avocado and Tomato Foccacia. The only thing I’m concerned about is the soup. The bowl was a bit too hot, and I noticed how uneven the heating was. Some areas of the soup were hot, and some were a bit cold. I suspected that it might have been microwaved.(Sigh) There goes the nutrients, but still! Don’t let that discourage you from getting food here. It’s still a great place to get something quick. Employees seems happy, and they were helpful enough to give us directions to our final destination.
