Highly recommend this place. Drove all the way from Vacaville just for their menudo, which was very much worth the drive. Their burritos are no joke! Chile relleno is delicious.

It was a busy busy evening in Novato, as day one of the two day art and wine fest came to an end. Taqueria had not prepared, it seemed, with enough wait-staff. But the kitchen was putting out delicious Tex-mex style food at a good pace, the servers present kept their good attitude, and it’s actually kind of cute both inside and outside. Winner at the table– regular appetizer carne asada quesadilla, served with generous portion of guacamole.

Love this place! My go to for Mexican. Good food at a fair price!

The word that comes to mind is slop… the food is very greasy and just piled onto a plate. I have been to enough cheap taquerias to know that this place is definitely sub-par. No thanks!

Absolutely delicious! Just moved here from New York a few months ago, and I have to say this place is definitely comparable to some of my favorite Mexican places in New York City. Maybe even better!

Beautiful outdoor seating, great food at amazing prices, huge servings, nice people, convenient location downtown Novato, great for large parties or if you are by yourself. Absolutely wonderful on a nice day. Chips & salsa(a little picante) are served as soon as you are seated along with a 4 page menu(I will have to come back to try more, especially shrimp cocktail and civiche). I ordered the super burrito $ 8 with half red sauce and half mole, with no rice and BBQ chicken. It was served within minutes. It was more than I could eat and it was delicious; fresh ingredients, whole pinto beans, sweet flavorful chocolate mole, grilled marinated chicken, I almost couldn’t stop eating but it was bigger than my arm, so really, I had to stop.

1998… young Chun P defected from Novato for San Diego… and he quickly learned that wasn’t a decent Mexican eatery in Novato, or Marin County for that matter. Until he tried Taqueria Mi Pueblo… its the real deal… everything is spot on with San Diegan Mexican food, and some things are even better, like your choice of tortilla, love it! You’ll even see real Mexicans eating here, so you know its legit. I got the $ 10.50 California Nacho Fries«appetizer» for my entrée… Gawd damn! Its like 4000 calories and could easily fully feed 2 people, or 4 anorexic models. I opted for the Al Pastor(Mexican BBQ Pork) which was delicious. My friends both got $ 8 Super Burritos, which were giant as well. Definitely look forward to this greasy fatty delicious again next time I visit the parents.

Who doesn’t love Mi Pueblo. Great customer service and Great food. My only recommendation is that the Quesadilla’s are a little bit more cooked. It’s a personal preference. Keep up the awesome work!

Allow extra time for your to go order if you call ahead during the dinner rush. They say fifteen minutes, but it’s more like thirty on a busy night. Everyone is always friendly and the food always hits the spot. The portions are large, and perfectly seasoned. Best Mexican food in Novato.

3.5÷5 I always forget that this building isn’t a taco bell anymore, and forget about this place when I am in the mood for Mexican food(which, really, is my usual state of being.). BUT, when I do remember and come here, I am satisfied. Solid food, solid margs, nothing spectacular, but it will get the job done for a reasonable price. :)

Great chips and salsa, but I won’t be returning, at least not to this location. Dropped in for a quick bite & I spent just under $ 10 for a cheese quesadilla and a Diet Coke. The quesadilla barely had any cheese and I found bits of random lettuce and tomato that had fallen in(I’m not big on finding random bits that don’t go with the order in my food). It just wasn’t that good– which is kinda odd to me because it’s a simple thing to make… Service wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. Once my order was taken no one said a word to me except once they brought me the bill.

Out of the few Mexican spots here in Novato, this is my go to. I usually get the #4, a tostada, with barbecued chicken. The food and service is usually 100% but it can be a bit slow if they are slammed, like any place. Awesome taco Tuesday deals. Tacos for $ 1.50. They do not have a full bar but do have wine margaritas, delicious sangria and lots of bottled beers. I suggest going here on a nice day so you can sit on their large patio, inside can be a bit small and crowded.

Muy delcious comida mexicana! The food is delicious, the service is excellent and friendly, the location is easy to access, and the setting is very inviting and comfortable. So what are you waiting for?! If you are in or around Novato and crave good authentic Mexican food, stop by and try for yourselves! We tried their Huevos Rancheros and Carnitas plate. Both were delicious, although I was bummed that I had NOT picked the Carnitas considering the Carnitas freak that I am! So this means that we need to stop there at least one more time so I can have my fill. Buen provecho!

Yum, yum and yum. On a walk around downtown Novato, a super sweet local chatted us up and gave us some food recommendations in the area and this was one of them. I immediately recognized it as a former Taco Bell. Yes all you youngins, this is what Taco Bells used to look like before they were all modernized. They start you with their tortilla chips and perfectly spicy salsa. I ordered the Super Burrito with carne asada and a Margarona(a margarita with a Coronita turned upside down in it… if you haven’t had one of these you haven’t lived a full margarita life). Super doesn’t even begin to describe how giant the burrito was. It literally could have fed 4 people easily. A great balance of all the ingredients in it and plenty of carne asada. I like that they serve them wet too. The Margarona was huge too. I don’t know how I managed to finish it after inhaling half of my burrito. My friend ordered the Veggie Burrito which she was able to make into 2 meals as it was also giant. Our other friends ordered their combinations which also come with plenty of food. I had a taste of their Strawberry Margarita too and unlike most of the flavored margaritas you get, it actually tasted like they used real strawberries to make it. Very tasty. Service was really good and we got our food super fast. It was definitely a popular place on a Saturday night so we lucked out getting a seat. There’s plenty of outdoor seating too but it’s a little chilly on a November night to be able to do that. The Sonoma and surrounding area can be pricey too but this place is totally reasonable for the area. Mine came out to about $ 15 total(not including tip). California, I can’t thank you enough for your abundance of delicious Mexican food no matter where I go.

LOVE their Veggie Super Burrito! Beans, cheese, guac, sour cream, sauce, pico, etc. So good. Highly recommend it. Pros: –Great prices. –Big portions. Veggie burrito is huge, enough for 2 meals for me. And like I said above, very good price for it. –My boyfriend loves the meat stuff too ha ha. –Very quick. Even when busy. –Polite service. –Has it’s own little parking lot, which is great since it’s downtown, and can be hard to find parking downtown. –Authentic vibe. –We’ve never had a wait. Usually is pretty full, but never so packed that we have to wait. –Lots of different tortilla options. I don’t see this at many Mexican restaurants. For a burrito, you can get flour or whole wheat, OR sundried tomato, or spinach. I normally get the sundried tomato tortilla. –Love their chips. Always thin, and seem fresh. –Good location. Right in the downtown area. Cons: –This may sound weird, but their floor is very slippery! I’ve almost fallen on several different occasions. So just be careful :) –Not really nice inside or anything. Just simple tables and booths in one open room. –One time had a rock or something hard in the beans in my burrito. :/ This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Novato.

We come here to eat frequently. Today, for the game I wanted to surprise my gf w some 49er snack foods, being Super Nachos, and what I thought was Chili Con Queso. what I found when I got home was a $ 5.50 block of cheese. see picture. I will be returning this later. I’ll let u know what they say. what a disappointment. There’s a puddle of grease under the spoon. I couldn’t even pull it apart without the whole block of cheese pulling out of the plate. Isn’t this supposed to be like a dip? I looked it up online and it’s not supposed to be a block of cheese.

So, you like tacos? No, you’re more of a burrito guy? Maybe you really dig tamales. Well, I’ve got some new for you, Mexican food lover. Right here in downtown Novato is Taqueria Mi Pueblo III — where all your cravings can be satisfied(and at a reasonable price). Something I must urge you try is the Super Burrito. They have many types of meat, and it comes with guac for $ 7.75. This Super Burrito is not only just a wet burrito, but also a burrito that is so large and so tasty that it will blow your mind. This is not some casual burrito, this a a serious, hard core burrito. I could only eat about 2/3rds of it. We’ve also tried the tamales, the tacos(excellent), and enchiladas — All delicious! Also, thank you to the nice waiter who remembered us, although we’d been 3 times in one week so he better had remember us.

My wife and I stopped here after a 5 mile hike at Mt Burdell, and it was the perfect way to refuel. The food here was excellent. They have options for authentic Mexican cuisine as well as TexMex, including some impressively large burritos. I opted for the tacos, beef cheek, pork Chile Verde, and chorizo. All were good, but the cabeza was especially delicious. It is also worth noting that the Margaritas were very reasonably priced. I do believe I will be coming back the next time I’m in the area.
