Very clean and comfortable. Set up for long term stays with full kitchenette, a place outside to barbecue, etc. I understand housekeeping only comes in weekly for long stays. We stayed for only 1 night and found it comfortable and reasonably priced with very friendly and helpful staff.

Our initial impression was good — nice front desk person, easy check in, nice looking lobby, good looking room. The room was a large suite with full size fridge, stove, and even as dishwasher. But once in the room, we found that there was no ice machine on the second floor. I called the front desk and was told that each room has it’s own ice machine door there was no ice machine. But the ice makerv in ourv room was broke so I had to go down to the front desk and get some. The clerk offered to switch rooms for us but it wasn’t that big of a deal so we stayed. A decision a later regretted. The problem was the noise. We heard stomping or walking above us. At least that eventually abated somewhat, but the noise of slamming doors was constant! I think it was the stairwell doors. First you’d hear the top doors slam and rattle the walls and then you’d hear the bottom door slam and rattle. My wife got no sleep at all. So, I would not stay here again unless I could be on the top floor and not near the stairwell! Also, they have no pool.

Nice rooms, good location. They have a store where you can purchase food items or laundry soap. The room set up was really good also. The rooms have a full size refrigerator! I will stay here again.

Cozy place! Spent one night here and the rooms are huge with pretty much a full size kitchen in them. The place is clean too and we would stay there again. The only thing we didn’t like was there are no ice machines. Yes, I get it, there is an ice maker in the freezer. That doesn’t help unless you think of making ice before you actually need it :(Anyways, the place was clean, quiet and nice. We only met and saw one employee and he was pleasant. I recommend staying here if you are staying in or near Nogales.

First off, this is designed as an extended stay hotel, so there are some«typical» hotel amenities that the Candlewood does not provide: no breakfast, no daily maid service. But because it is an extended stay place, they’ve got a good sized kitchenette with full fridge, two burner stove, microwave, sink, and cooking utensils in each room. Considering the number of restaurants in Nogales, I would definitely considering cooking in my room if I were staying here as often as some of my coworkers. They’ve also got a small library of books and DVDs to borrow. Each room has a DVD player. They carry more TV channels than most hotels. We’d been staying at the Holiday Inn next door the last few trips, but their fitness center is lacking, so we thought we’d give the Candlewood a try. The fitness center is nicer, if somewhat cramped. They’ve got a couple of nicer treadmills, an elliptical, a bike, and a weight machine. There’s also a TV and a water cooler. It was slightly distracting that the window to the parking lot was open and that the car lights kept shining through, but the quality of the treadmill made up for that. Since they’re no breakfast, there is a pantry that sells some food items. The selection would do in a pinch, but I’m glad there’s a Safeway just down the road. The staff was friendly, but intentionally provides minimal interaction so that you’re free to come and go as you please.(I didn’t realize this until I filled out the email survey after my trip). Though the hotel is less than 5 years old, it feels a little tired. Maybe it’s the lighting, but everything just felt a little dull. If I were going to be staying for a long period, the Candlewood is a good option for Nogales.

This place was ok. I wasn’t thrilled with the service. I was in AZ on business and stayed here for 3 days. During the whole time I never received maid service. I never got fresh towels. And the internet was the slowest I have ever seen. I went to the front desk and I really didn’t get any kind of help. The room was decent. Pretty big size for the money and there was a dvd player. I probably would not be using this hotel again. I’ve used other Candlewood Suites and had a lot better experience.

My husband and I just spent 16 hours driving from San Francisco to Nogales on our trip to Puerto Vallarta(another 900 miles) when we discovered I had left my wallet with my passport(!) in San Francisco. Needless to say I was really upset and wasn’t sure what I could do or where to turn. Penny was INCREDIBLE and so was the rest of the staff! Penny drove her car to the Mexican Consulate in Nogales and we followed in ours to see if they could help and then helped us after we went to get the car through the border. Everyone on the staff at this hotel was wonderful, helpful and very friendly and oh did I mention Penny? Not only that but the room was clean, quite, secure with free WIFI and a kitchenette. Alls well that ends well my passport has been sent to the hotel via Fedex and we can continue our adventure. But I can’t say enough about the staff and the hotel.
