Quality Hotel Americana Nogales

More than a decent room and with a AAA discount it’s really worth it because the included hot breakfast is more thank filling. Omelette bar, waffle station, sausages, juices, cereals, toast, bagels, etc. pillows are a comfy down alternative but too high for me, luckily I brought my own. Beds comfy. Old analog thermostat but effective. Tv and mini fridge included. Fast 20+MB wifi. Friendly staff. Great hotel overall as we were just passing by. It has a pool but too cold out to check it out. Seemed pretty big though.

I shouldn’t make this review too good because I hope their prices remain so insanely reasonable (mine was $ 59, 1 king). No more Tucson on the way to Mexico for me! The staff is very professional and able to cope with a customer’s bad mood (mine.) The room was extremely clean– including the bathroom. It was furnished like a 4 star hotel. We had a sofa, microwave and fridge in the room. The bed was very comfortable, and had even enough pillows for a pillow hog like me. The included breakfast buffet was much enjoyed by my husband and myself. Besides gringo type items, they had chiliquiles and frijoles, also the usual cold breakfast items.
I did mention to the staff at the front desk that the elevator carpet was distressingly dirty. She called maintenance immediately. Wifi was down a good part of the night. It was back up in the morning at an acceptable speed for me to review inbox and ordering.

As far as I can tell this is the nicest hotel in downtown Nogales. The employees were friendly, the room I stayed in was reasonably clean and it was quiet.
It’s even good for conferences. They have two rooms you can use that seat 20 people comfortably and the food they serve is decent enough.
There is wireless internet available, but it is really sporadic. Most of the time it wasn’t available for me.
There was no refrigerator or microwave, but there is a Safeway relatively close by and they have a restaurant and bar.
