Great food and adult beverages! We were there for drinks and then came back for dinner and both times, the bartenders were fantastic. Appetizers were delicious. I had the clam chowder and burger for dinner and everything was cooked to perfection! Great job! We will return for sure! I highly recommend this establishment! Great food, drink, and ambience!

I really like this local tavern! The staff is warm and friendly and goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed. Had beer and wings, both of which were very good. Great martinis!
Buck a shuck night on Wednesday, always a great atmosphere.

The lamb burger was, and I’m being very serious, a religious experience. Get it. Put it in your mouth. Right meow.

Checked this out tonight after doing. Unilocal search and wanted to stay out of the tourist district. Got a cozy table in the corner. Great spring rolls, chicken wings and arugula salad. Extensive beer menu. Only disappointment was the band never showed up by the time we left.

Food was really good, and a fun atmosphere. The fish special was swordfish when we were there, and it was so good, we came back a few days later to have it again!

Window view and steak in the pan are awesome! Little bit noisy but it’s ok, huge choice of beers.

Veggie Benny was dee-​lish with harmonious, warm flavors and AWESOME home fries. Salmon Caesar un-​be-​freaking-​lievable. Bloody Mary was unremarkable. Nice atmosphere.

Very nice meal, good service, reasonable prices overall good experience on a busy Saturday night. Will definitely be back.

Great lunch spot. The prosciutto pizza and burger were very yummy. Service was attentive but a little on the slow side. Place has a nice décor.

Crips, I love kids, I have 3 and 3 grandkids, that being said, «People control your kids!» Went there to watch the game and have dinner but that didn’t happen! Why would a Dad bring his 4 yr old daughter and her 2 little friends to a bar/​restaurant and let them run around while he watched the game!!! Hello dad, we would’ve like to enjoy the game also and have a meal without having the kiddies stomping around yelling! Thanks. Had to give a star in Unilocal,although the Korean Chicken Spring Rolls tasted good.

We never sat by the window, therefore we didn’t move and in the time I was there the dad came from the bar a couple times, told the girls to sit and went back to the bar side. Never saw anyone else sitting with the girls. You are mistaking us for someone else.

Awesome spot for food & drinks, I’ve had a bunch of different things to eat here and they’re all awesome. The chef is very creative and everything is made from scratch, right down to the condiments. Good prices too. I’m a local and this is one of my absolute favorite places in Newport.

Do not pass this place by. The blend of flavors in each dish is amazing. The drinks are awesome and the wait staff is great. Will be coming back. The steak, carmelized onions, eggs Benedict was to die for! First Bloody Mary and mimosa included with brunch! Chef even gave us a free sampling of the panckae special with Fireball infused maple syrup, yum!

My husband and I came in and I had fish and chips. They were okay. The drink menu was nice and the waitress very attentive.
The overall atmosphere of the bar was very inviting and had a distinct New England feel. That was probably my favorite part.

They have a great special Tuesday nights. «Date Night» is not to be missed. Dinner for 2 for $ 40 — 2 apps or 1 to share, 2 entrees, 2 desserts, and a bottle of house wine (which was surprisingly good Pinot Grigio), all from a select menu.
I had never been here before. The bar was pretty packed for the Cubs game, but the restaurant only had a few full tables, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. That can sometimes be a bad sign. But I’m glad we stayed. Our waitress was very kind, and even closed the window we were sitting at, as it was starting to get chilly. I didn’t have a beer, but the list looked like they must have about 40 on tap, which was impressive.
The only complaint I had was with the calamari app we shared. It was rubbery, and only one smear of marinara sauce on the plate. None came on the side. The fish and chips entrée I had was huge! The fish was the length of my arm (elbow to wrist), and the fries were well cooked/​seasoned.
I had the Bailey’s crème brûlée for dessert. I had never had crème brûlée before. Boy was I missing out! It was so good! You could taste the Bailey’s.
I would definitely come back here. I remember what this bar was like years ago. You wouldn’t even go in to ask for directions. It’s nice to see the new owners have appeared to turn things around. I’ve seen many restaurants/​bars on Broadway come and go. Hopefully this one is here to stay.

Great atmosphere, but the food continues to go down hill. Steak was over cooked and I we ordered kale and ended up with arugula. Not a big deal, but the chef insisted it was kale even after I showed him visual proof it was not.
To top it all off, the apple crisp had the skin on, so it was impossible to eat without a knife.
We love this place and will definitely be back, maybe it was a bad day in the kitchen;)

Did not understand the décor. seemed like a mix of different styles all trying to get along but confused. Drink menu ordinary bar.
One thing I would recommend if you like clams is the #clamscasinopizza very good
They do have tables to sit out front and people watch the locals, the yuppies, and the Broadway crazies.

I’ve been here three times. It was great every time. Great atmosphere. Not too loud. Plenty of TVS for watching sports.
The beer selection is amazing and always changing. I love trying new beers so this is a major point. The bartenders are very knowedgable on each beer which is great.
I’ve eaten everytime I was here and the food is great. I’m very impressed with the chef. His specials are awesome. I’ve had something off of the specials everytime.
If you’re ever in the newport area I recommend making a stop here for lunch. You’ll be impressed.

Good food at the right price with a nice ambiance as well. The band was starting up as we were leaving, so I’d imagine they have live music most weekend nights. The best part of the meal: the potato salad. Seriously. Top three ever tasted. The Green View Farms Arugula Salad was simple and divine. A Cuban sandwich and a burger were also enjoyed. I wouldn’t recommend the garlic and Parmesan wings as it didn’t quite evenly coat the wings in the dry rub form and would have been better suited in sauce form. Our server was a little slow on bringing refills, but other than that, it was a meal that was just right for our family of four.

The Tavern is a great place. We went in for lunch and was met with a very friendly staff. Our waitress took great care of us because she cared, not just because it was her job. I had the blackened swordfish. The swordfish was amazing and there was a lot of it. Normally restaurants skip out on the amount of fish because it was expensive. This was not the case. My wife got the burger that was on special, which had pear slices, goat cheese, and caramelized onions on it. She clearly one this round. The burger was very tasty and the toppings paired perfectly. This will be a must go again restaurant.

Went in for a lye lunch. Server was very attentive.

Food was excellent. I had the lamb burger and it was incredible. So tasteful and moist.
My wife loves her veggie pizza.
We both enjoyed the house sangria.
Price was pretty reasonable.
