Great acai. Great atmosphere. I come in twice a week at least and they’re always playing good music like blink 182, third eye blind, and other classics. Only negative is the portions are pretty damn small for the price.

I’ve been a loyal customer for years now, and I’ve had every bowl on the menu. The coconut mango is my go-to after surfing. It’s refreshing, and the gold standard for acai bowls. The ingredients they use are always fresh.

Delicious, fresh and just plain feels healthy lifestyle! Be prepared to spend $ 10 for the equivalent of two scoops of ice cream volume wise… and pay extra for other toppings.

Holy Sambazon! This place is soooo amazing I wish I had one closer to my house so I can finally kick Jamba Juice to the curb. Their ingredients are so fresh and you can taste the quality. It is pricy but what do you expect for amazing products. I will pay 7 dollars for a smoothie if it is a Sambazon smoothie. The staff is so friendly too and the place is cute to just sit and enjoy the little piece of heaven in your bowl or cup. Love it!

Got berry bowl and coconut mango bowl! Both tasted good, berry bowl was better between the two. Price acceptable($ 6.99 for berry, $ 5.99 for coconut mango) good environment! :)

The ambience of the location is decorated with a naturalistic vibe as well as an open style preparation area that lets you view your bowl as it is being made. The history of the location and of the company are set on the wall to give a glimpse into the way that açai was brought to the States. The service was friendly with the employees accommodating to the desires of the customer in terms of the type of açai bowl desired. A nice touch was the complimentary WiFi and on a side note there is a coffee bar as well. The total price for the purchase of two small bowls along with a 15% tip was roughly around 17 dollars.

Really pricey for acai bowls and smoothies. The Amazon immunity was okay, but the pb protein was really good. Customer service is nice there. Wouldn’t get a smoothie here again though.

This place is absurd!!! You pay an arm and a leg for acai bowl that you finish in two bites. Get your money’s worth and go to primos where you get triple the amount for the same price, plus their acai is not watered down like this place. Booo!

My boyfriend and I have been going to this place every weekend for the past year. We always get an açai bowl(he gets the berry bowl and I usually get the protein bowl or whatever the seasonal special is). We love it. The story behind the place and açai is really cool and my bf(who has been to Brazil) seems to feel that it’s really authentic. The bowls are muyyyy rico(aka delicious!) Ian is also the man. Love it here, highly recommend

I used to come to this place every week a few years ago and it was the best acai ever. I’ve brought so many friends and new customers here but the last few times I came over there was always something wrong on my order and their price only goes up! Today my medium bowl came with like 10% of acai, lots of granola and lots of banana. I tried to ask if this was the new way they were doing business and tried to ask for another bowl they didn’t even want to listen to me. Not coming back and not bringing anyone with me.

Before going to Brazil I’d concluded that even the worst of acai bowls is still quite good. Now though, I can actually say what authentic acai tastes like and it’s different than what you find here in the US. It’s fabulous, with a thick, somewhat gritty texture. It’s frequently served sans toppings so you really taste what you’re eating and, with the heat of Rio I can report that acai and Brazil are a perfect combination. While in Brazil I learned nothing about acai except what’s written above. It took until visit #3 at Sambazon for me to actually gain knowledge about acai. While my medium sized Mango Bowl was being created I stood and watched the continuous loop video explaining how this business came to be. What an excellent and informative little film. I actually felt better about eating this product from Sambazon than I would have elsewhere, understanding all the good they’re doing in helping the Brazilian economy as well as the Amazon rainforest. So go to Sambazon, walk up the Cobacabana Beach-mimicing strip of tile, place your order, then stand in this charmingly adorned shop and watch the video. You’ll leave a little smarter than you entered and, since acai really is a brain food made almost entirely from the skins of the berries, you’ll know why. All acai is pretty good; here, with the free-trade, certified organic label, it’s even better. Sambazon(perfect Brazil-evoking name) is my new Orange County go to spot for acai.

The only other Açai place I have tried was from Açai Republic in Tustin. Same quality at Sambazon. Great frozen yogurt-like texture, granola and banana slices. I was introduced to them through their booth at the Surf City ½ Marathon in HB. I wish they were closer to where I live and work… I love Açai. Great attitudes from the girls working at the event. Gonna miss them after this weekend. I’m a fan!

I was searching for a place that would undoubtedly have a good acai bowl, and found it. This is a very conveniently located shop in a strip mall with plenty of parking. They really take pride in the quality of their organic ingredients and while you admire their very unique décor, you can read about how this Acai shop came to be with interesting wall art that explains the story. My acai bowl was so refreshing and delicious. They allow you to customize your fruit toppings… strawberries, blueberries, banana, mango, pineapple… not to mention the wonderful assortment of non fruit toppings which include cocao chips, bee pollen and much much more. The staff was very friendly and patient as I took my time deciding what I wanted. I defiantly recommend this place the next time your in the mood for something fresh!

This small café is walking distance from my apartment on the Peninsula, so I frequent it often. It’s not necessarily a place that I’d go to hang out, but it does have delicious acai bowls and the coffee is good too. I typically go for a hazelnut latte and their Berry Bowl. The bowl is packed to the brim with granola, bananas, strawberries and blueberries atop a layer of acai. It’s delicious. I usually add honey and goji berries to give the bowl a little more depth. It’s tough to mess up a basic acai bowl, so what really gives Sambazon it’s 4-star rating is the staff. They have always been really pleasant and seem genuinely happy to be there. If you live on the Peninsula, this place is worth checking out if you ever want to opt for a healthier breakfast over a boozy brunch(I know, that doesn’t happen often, but still — give it a try).

Always a good experience here. I am a sucker for a tasteful acai bowl, but when the service actually matches the quality of the food, that is when you have found the right place. Ian and Will do an amazing job, so props to these guys to always keeping a positive experience. Knowledgeable and welcoming. I am not familiar with most of the employees names, but each one has been so helpful and patient. My favorite is the«coconut mango» bowl with an addition of honey. If you check in on Unilocal, you can get $ 1 off your order. Yew!

Awesome acai bowl! Almost as good as the ones that I make it home: p I think they’re much better than the local competition because they don’t dilute there acai with a ton of soy milk, nor do they make the bowl overly sweet… Yum.

After a few hours at the beach, a fresh fruit bowl such as those served here is much needed! The service was fast and friendly. The décor is very beachy, modern– what I would expect from a place so close to the ocean. I ordered the Berry Bowl, an acaí bowl made up of granola, strawberries, bananas, and blueberries. This was my first time ever trying an acaí bowl, and honestly, my favorite part was the granola and fresh fruit. The actual acaí smoothie mix was flavorless to me. I am glad to say I have tried one now, but next time I’m craving this I’ll just make one at home.

Super friendly staff… Delicious coffee w/out having to visit 17th st to go to Keans! Acai bowls are delish when you need a natural sugar high and this place always gets it right… Only complaint is it always feels a bit too warm to hang out inside comfortably but w the beach across the street there is no reason to hang anyway!

Food: I’m a huge fan of their company and I used to purchase their frozen acai packs from a local health food store. So I wanted to try their smoothies since I love their product. Ordered a 16 oz acai smoothie and it totaled to $ 5! What?! The smoothie was good, but I don’t think it was worth that much. I guess it’s the brand you’re paying for. And they had Pao de Queijo on the menu and when I asked, they said they no longer have them. I was bummed because I love those. Environment/Ambiance: Cool little café, not too big, but enough seating to sit for a couple of hours. A sort of jungle theme, it’s very comfortable and modern. The place was clean, which again to me is a big plus. Service: Service was okay, nothing spectacular. The girl that helped me was mostly talking to her coworker and only talked to me briefly when she was taking my order. No welcome, no farewell. Tips: Check it out if you’re by the beach. It’s a convenient place to stop by if you’re coming back from the beach. Just be prepared to pay more than normal.

This is the best Acai bowl I’ve had. It was blended perfectly, unlike the ones I’ve had at other smoothie places. And you can choose from one of their recipes or create your own. When I checked in on Unilocal,I got $ 1 off my order. The person who helped me was very friendly and helpful. And the bowl was ready in only a couple of minutes. They use high quality ingredients like Nativas Naturals raw cacao. The inside of the café is really cute and comfortable. I will definitely be back for another Acai bowl the next time I’m in the area.

We were looking for a healthy place to grab a snack and we stumbled on this bookmarked«juice bar». We have been hooked on Acai for many years after our Naturapath turned us onto the freeze-dried product, so I’m very happy to see I can walk into an establishment and order such a high-potent antioxidant bowl full of yumminess without lifting a finger in the kitchen. Customer service here was very friendly and helpful as we took our time perusing the menu. The ambiance and décor had a very organic natural feel. They really put a lot of thought into the design and photography that adorned the walls. Rasta music added to the ambiance(even though the Acai berry is found in Brazil not in Jamaica). We ordered the berry bowl but it seemed like they skimped a bit on the berry’s? The presentation was a bit messy and it wasn’t filled to the rim. The granola sprinkled on it was delicious. We ordered a strawberry banana smoothie and a green drink. All good and a great stop to grab some clean eats.
