I wanted to try this place because in Northern CA you can only find it in San Francisco. I enjoyed my experience for lunch. I tried the watermelon radish salad with ahi tuna. It was really good, since I wasn’t hungry I just got two portions. I also ordered the cucumber mint lemonade. I loved the lemonade, but I wish it was a tad less sugary tasting. With cucumber and mint, I felt like it should have been a little more refreshing and not so sweet! I definitely will be trying more next time I’m around one, the sandwiches and all the hot sides looked out of this world! Till next time lemonade :) Pros: Clean Environment Fresh Food Good Food Cons: Expensive Cafeteria style

I have a few go-to items here, like the broccoli with shaved cheese, or the Brussels sprouts, and I definitely can’t eat enough of the brisket. The portion sizes are a bit deceptive, too. It might look like you aren’t getting a hearty amount of food but, trust me, once you start to dig in you’ll find the amount provided is just right. And, of course, you can always add on another side or two if you’re a big pig — which I am.

It was my first time here so me and my bestfriend didn’t know what t expect so duh we asked. So if you don’t know lemonade is like a adult cafeteria you start at one end and pick what you want and work your way to the cash register to pay and order drinks. You can get a plate with portions of food. $ 2.75 each portions which is like two scoops. I got one with chicken(I don’t recall the name) and the watermelon ahi tuna. I also got a chicken and herb sandwich. That was more than enough I also got a old fashioned lemonade wish I would have read the reviews before just going. Oh well My total was around $ 16.10 for to portions of food and my sandwich and drink. I didn’t really like my sandwich bc it was kind of hard. But I had enough to bring back home and finish later.(to my surprise) I don’t think I’ll be back but glad I got to try it.

We’re not haters. We’re foodies who love healthier and veg-friendly food concepts and we were really excited to try this place. BUT out of the 8 dishes we ordered, all 8 were terrible. I’m still kind of dumbfounded at how utterly awful everything tasted. I guess it’s possible that by some weird coincidence against all odds that we ordered the worst dishes but that seems like a stretch. Many of the items we ordered were pretty simple, things that would be hard to screw up, but the recipes, sauces and flavors ALL seemed way off. I don’t have time to rattle off a review of each dish but I’ve never been to ANY place and ordered eight dishes and been zero out of eight. Pretty scary! All of the dishes«sounded good» and were up our alley. Some looked better than others. The kale with bechamel cheese sauce sounded awesome but looked funky. The kale looked like brown seaweed, like it was old or something. I tried it and didn’t eat more than a couple bites. It tasted spoiled. If not, that was the worst bechamel sauce in the world. After all the bad flavors I went back through the line and got a red velvet cupcake. It wasn’t as bad as everything else but wasn’t very good either. It was very dry and seemed stale. Sprinkles it was not. After looking forward to it, this was a big disappointment for us and we have no plan on going there again. As for the concept, we did not like the cafeteria line either. We regularly eat at places like True Food Kitchen, Native Foods and Veggie Grill and the worse thing I ever had at any of those places was better than anything we had at Lemonade.

I don’t think I would like this place very much. I just finished writing a review about premade cafeteria style restaurants. So I didn’t get any food since I didn’t like how it was styled. But it was a hot day so I decided to stop by for a drink! — mint cucumber: it sounds like it would be super refreshing! But it tasted okay. It tasted like they used powder or something instead of fresh ingredients. Tip: ask for less or no ice when you order drinks because they still fill it up to the top. Then ask for another cup with extra ice and then split the ice and drink between those 2 cups. Lol I got less ice and just drank it like that. This drink would be a lot better with extra ice to ease the strong taste of the drink.

We’ve been to several locations and this is my fav. Love the amazing selection of unique salads and creative dishes. Also their fun lemonade flavors. Great for quick dining while shopping. We enjoy the outdoor seating since it’s usually nice weather here. Lots of dairy/egg free(vegan) options for me. Always new items to try.

The lemonade is refreshing, but the food not so much. Lemonade: I love their cucumber mint, it’s sweet but subtle, I’ve heard it was what the Kardashians order, but I like it anyway ;-) Blood orange is also delicious but more tangy if you’re in a fruity mood. It costs $ 3 for a large cup, not too shabby for lemonade. Food: They have healthy options such as salad, pasta, or hot sandwiches, hot items like chili, mac n cheese, etc. I ordered the pesto pasta and it was standard, nothing extraordinary about it. The food was expensive, but nothing amazing. Service: super friendly. The staff are wlling to help and walk customers through the ordering process. Overall, it’s called Lemonade for a reason, so next time I’ll just stick to ordering a drink and skip the food.

This is for drinks only. $ 3.24 with tax one size only Blueberry mint — can’t taste the mint, but it’s refreshing and isn’t too sweet Guava lemonade — got slapped in the face with overwhelming sweetness Non-sugar — definitely not as sweet as all the other lemonades, but it’s not bland at all! Arnold Palmer — half any of the other lemonade and half sweet tea Downside — high cost, way too much ice. Ask for less ice if you don’t want some lemonade with your cup of ice, if you know what I mean

My family had a wonderful lunch at this Lemonade location. We ordered our standards. My husband and I both ordered prepared salads from the front. The spicy chicken and green beans is still my favorite. The curry cauliflower is a close 2nd. The tomatoes and avocado are delicious, and I am usually not a tomato fan. My son ordered his standard macaroni and cheese and gobbled up the entire thing! I think their desserts are okay. The lemon bar is tasty, but not a must have. The chocolate chip cookie is inferior to what I bake at home. I tend to be very picky about desserts though. I like that they have an unsweetened lemonade. That day it was rosemary watermelon. They do not use artificial sweetener in it. The restaurant was clean and inviting. The employees were friendly. P. S. The lady next to me was eating a sandwich that looked amazing. Upon me questioning her, she said it looked a lot tastier than it was. =(

I liked this location in Fashion Island, it’s big, airy, has a nice outdoor area, perfect for a sunny California day. I loved their Guava lemonade, it’s by far their best in my book after trying several all around town. It’s cafeteria style, so it’s a big confusing to order. I wasn’t thrilled with their desserts, they have no pastries, just tiny cupcakes, brownies, macarons, small, too sweet and too pricey. Decent service. Good option for a healthy lunch or a lemonade on the go while shopping in the area.

To say that I love Lemonade would be an understatement. I’m addicted to their Cucumber Mint and Blueberry Mint lemonade as much as I am addicted to Starbucks. The Watermelon Rosemary is also good too. Truly the best lemonade on the planet and at a great price. You get a «Venti» sized lemonade for just $ 3.20 and it’s healthy too. Aside from their lemonades, Lemonade also serves food in a cafeteria-style but with fresh food and measured by portions. Once in a while I will eat here if I want a healthy small lunch, especially after working out at Corona Del Mar. There’s different food during different times and you can sample any of the food items and even sample the lemonades. However, I always get the Truffle Mac & Cheese! The service is great and friendly. Although I’ve gone so many times, usually every Friday, that the staff knows who I am and which lemonade flavor I want lol.

Blood orange lemonade. The end. No but really, imo that is the best flavor there in terms of tart and sweetness. This place, I believe, is a vegetarian hub. They have food –cafeteria style– where you can select your portions and pay per portion and clearly tend to vegetarians. Ended up getting 3: ahi radish watermelon, soba noodles, pasta mozzarella. They were all good, soba and the pasta mozzarella were better than the radish itself as the radish was a bit bitter. You can ask for a sample if you’re unsure on what to get. If you want to be bad, get the truffle Mac and cheese. It’s not half bad for already –prepped –and –waiting– in –a –container –pasta. Overall, this is def. more on the healthy and edible side compared to cafeteria food.

My favorite place for a healthy yummy lunch at Fashion Island! It is located right next to the Island Cinema, so I can enjoy a healthy meal first! No one can ever say no to lemonade. I absolutely enjoy their blood orange and cucumber mint lemonade combo. The staff at this Lemonade is very friendly each time I come in! I don’t feel rushed to make my choice for my portions, and that makes me always happy with my order. My favorites are: Marketplace — Orecchiette Pasta, Tomato, Perline Mozzarella — Avocado, Cherry Tomato, Pine Nuts, Lime — Pineapple Chicken, Green Beans, Coconut, Jalapeño, Jerk Dressing — Cauliflower, Golden Raisins, Almonds, Curry Hot Market Veggies — Roasted Brussels Sprouts, Caramelized Onion, Grape Glaze Land + Sea — Green Apple Curry Chicken — Spicy Crab and Avocado Salad Stuffed Vine Ripe Tomato Braises — Red Miso Beef Short Rib Hot Portions — White Truffle Mac N’ Cheese

Lemonade at Fashion Island is my new obsession and go-to lunch spot. The food here is healthy, yet it has awaken and spiced up my taste buds! Imagine the Whole Food’s salad and hot foods bar, but with more kick in flavor. They change up their menu selection every season. So far, my favorites are the New Mexican Chili Butternut Squash and the Spicy Pineapple Jerk Chicken with Green Beans. YUMYUMYUM During the times I’ve gone so far, they’ve been generous with the portions on my plate. Hope they don’t fall into the Chipotle effect with hooking up lots of good food in the beginning, then start skimping once they’re around for a longer time.

Love this place. It’s smaller than the one at Fashion Island but it’s closer. This area though has awful parking during busy times so be prepared! It’s a zoo. Food is great! Fresh! Staff is new but friendly. Off to a great start! Yum yum!

As a first timer, I was looking forward to try this place. But unfortunately it was not good enough. For starters the café style ordering is very slow and not efficient. They have their sandwiches toward the end of their long counter. So whoever that just wants to order sandwiches has to still wait in the regular line. I ordered a single portion of a «seasonal special» salad. If the sign had actually stated what it was in it, I would have not got it because it had almonds in it and they are not very visible! As for the meal, I got the Marsala Chicken sandwich. I Loved the cranberry bread that came with it… The marsala chicken itself had alot of stuff in it. Green apples, mustard, raisins, chicken and curry… The taste was good but not the best. Since this was the«semi-traditional» sandwich, I swear that the sign said it would come with a side of salad. But when I asked the employee she said no! Also, look at the pictures that I posted of my food. The plate that the salad came with was huge and on the other hand my sandwich was in this tiny tiny plate… I mean come on people. Have some common sense! I got the blood orange lemonade. I liked the taste and probably I will try another flavor next time. But I won’t dine here anymore. And knowing howlong their ordering wait is, I will probably not come here at all… Lol I would have given this place 2 stars, but since my side of greens was not given to me unlike what the sign said, they will be dropped to one star only. o

I’m a fan of the concept of this place. It’s cafeteria style, with a lot of fresh, healthy-feeling dishes. They let you try the dishes before you order too, which is great. You can also mix the lemonade flavors! My favorite combo was the Guava Limeade with the Blood-Orange. Yum!

After an hour of SoulCycle I went on the hunt for a tasty and healthy meal and decided to head over to Lemonade. Up til then I’d had pretty mixed feelings about this place, particularly in terms of their pricing. I headed over anyway and ordered their curried cauliflower, chicken and vegetable meatballs and roasted brussel sprouts with caramelized onions. This totaled to $ 14 and change and when I thought about it I decided it really wasn’t too bad for the variety and quality of ingredients. I was allowed to try the salads and pastas before ordering them which I definitely recommend as they have a ton of options to choose from. You can also sample the meats and soups, pretty much everything but the meats and wraps that you can’t really pull a sample from. I love that the meatballs are a bit spicy and that you still get the flavor of a meatball, just with a healthy twist. I really liked the cauliflower and had a hard time choosing between that and the ricotta broccoli. The brussel sprouts were good but just a little too salty. I will probably go back to the shaved brussel sprouts and dates next time. There aren’t many other places that I can think of that are casual dining and will serve me golden raisins with curried cauliflower and almonds. All of their meals are creative and include a variety of different, healthy ingredients. If you take a good look at the pricing and menus before ordering you might not be as surprised when you get your bill like I was. the first time visiting a Lemonade. I like that this Lemonade is so spacious and offers indoor and order seating. It’s located on the second floor in Fashion Island and has a very relaxed atmosphere. After this experience I have a new appreciation for this place and will continue to come back for their healthy and creative food combinations.

I dream of Lemonade. Fresh, friendly and fun. This café specializes in soups and salads, sandwiches and pizza but of course the star is the Lemonade. Lots of flavors and my favorite is the Watermelon. We went in late on a Sunday and we were lucky there was no one there so we took our time sampling lots of salads. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I sampled the truffle mac and cheese and all I can say is wow! Creamy and full of truffle flavor. I chose the asparagus soup, it was light and tasty a real winner. Mr. G. had a few salads and was very satisfied. We are sure to return the next time we are at Fashion Island Mall in Newport Beach.
