This place has horrible phone customer service. I have called on several occasions and no one ever answers the phone. What business offers Togo phone orders then never answers. It’s ridiculous. I consistently get Acai bowls. Now I go to Banzai Bowls down the street. Their customer service is awesome and they offer phone orders for people who are on the go like me.

This location closes early all of the time. It’s so irritating! I’ve come multiple times and the kids inside have the doors locked and say they are closed a half hour early. If I was the owner if be furious they refuse costumers and money. It’s 6:45 and they are closed again :(I’m not coming back. I asked the girl through the door when they close and she used her fingers to show 7 and I said its 6:45! Not good for business

I live in NYC and no acai bowl measures up to this place! Listen to Dan the owner for extra suggestions for what to order. He know his stuff. BOOM

This place is so busy but so poorly run. Today I waited over 20 minutes and finally had to ask for a refund because they were giving people who ordered after me their bowls. They never even started my juice. Frustrating to say the least.

Absolutely delicious and fresh. Only reason it is not 5 stars is because of the price($ 10 for what I consider a snack/smaller meal) — but that’s America for you — everything super healthy is pricy.

Stopped by Bowl of Heaven to try their various acais, and we got the paradise, red zinger, and the sunset bowl to share. The acai came out in a reasonable amount of time, and we got the large size which ended up being too much for us. All of the acai bowls were made well and had a great consistency, and I enjoyed all three of the bowls. The acai did not melt quickly and was pretty viscous which we liked. The paradise bowl with pitaya, pineapple, bananas, mint, and prickly pear blend was my least favorite, but still good! It’s really preference at this point. This one came with granola, coconut, strawberries, kiwis, and honey. The sunset bowl included pineapples, mango, strawberries, and unsweetened coconut milk. I liked the flavor of this one better! Last but not least, the red zinger was surprsingly my favorite of the three even though it was slightly more sour. This one contained acai, mango, pineapple, blueberries, raspberries, lilme, ginger, and coconut water. The mix of everything together was fantastic, and I loved how they topped it with chocolate on top(along with raspberries, honey, granola). The three bowls tasted pretty similar, and all of them were really good! I can see why this is a popular spot– they know what they’re doing here! I would recommend ordering a smaller size if the acai bowl is not a meal for you as they do get really filling.

Okay, this was a decent snack. I basically got a smoothy bowl topped with fruit. This place is okay if you’re in the mood for a light snack. Or maybe it’s late in the afternoon, you skipped lunch and want something to tide you over until dinner without killing your appetite(that was my scenario). Food: The flavor was fine. The fruit was fresh and it wasn’t sickeningly sweet. I felt like I ate something healthy(in a good way). My hunger level went from near starvation to a mild rumble after the meal and it held me in check until I tore into my dinner 3 hours later. Price: It is pretty expensive for what you get. I had a coupon so I didn’t get completely gouged but a regular Sea Sider and tiny North Shore would have cost over $ 11 if I didn’t have a coupon. Did I just say $ 11 for 1.5 bowls of fruit & ice? My mom would smack me upside the head and hang her head in shame if she thought I paid that price =) Service: The staff was nice but it took quite a while for me to get my order. There was only one lady who had ordered right before I got there but I think she ordered 4 bowls. It took a good 10 minutes before I got my Sea Sider & North Shore. Verdict: 3 stars!

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while and I was definitely not disappointed. I came in at around 4 and the place was clean and the workers were really friendly. I got the sea sider and I really enjoyed it. What really set this place apart was their granola, it was super yummy and had just the right amount of sweetness. Definitely gonna come back here again!

A trendy faux-healthy place offering various bowls, smoothies, and juices — with not so subtle wall decorations trying very hard to make it seem like you’re eating healthy by coming here. Upon asking the employee that was helping me if anything on their menu is 100% organic, he said no — not one. Some have one or two organic ingredients, mixed in with the remainder of non-organic ingredients. Why is this even important? If you’re coming here thinking you’re getting something healthy, think again. Given that not one of their menu items is 100% organic(according to their own employees), they can’t tell you with any honesty that you aren’t getting a cup(or bowl) full of pesticides. They just can’t. And adding one or two organic ingredients to an otherwise non-ogranic bowl or juice, and trying to make it seem that’s magically going to make it healthy is pure fantasy. Honestly, the sprinkling of a very few organic ingredients into their menu items came off to me as much more of a marketing gimmick rather than any authentic attempt at serving items that are truly healthy. And if you go onto their website, there’s curiously no nutritional information to be found anywhere. Why is that? If this place is so healthy, as they’d have you believe, one would think they’d proudly tout the nutritional content of the items they serve. But they don’t. So given I was already there, I ordered one of their bowls anyway. So how did it taste? It was pretty good actually, but so is a plate full of chili cheese fries cooked in a vat of trans fats. Honestly, if this place wasn’t trying so hard to pretend to be something it’s not, I probably would have given it a pretty high rating. But the misleading messages this place very consciously gives off as soon as you walk in the door reduces it to a one-star experience for me. And if authentically healthy juice is what you’re looking for, go to Gratitude on Westcliff Drive in Newport. Their juice is amazing and every juice they serve is 100% organic. Every single one.

Reading all the Unilocal reviews, I was incredibly excited to try this place out(and was even happier that it was so close to campus). This is the third place I have tried with regards to açai bowls and overall, it gets an «okay» from me. Though the bowl was really good(I got the Sea Sider), I was expecting SO. MUCH. MORE. The smoothie on the bottom wasn’t the flavorful, rich one I am used to when I get my bowls from Nektar. So yea, this place is good and does the job, but don’t fall for the hype.

This place is Paleo heaven as far as I’m concerned. I stopped by the other morning and had the pleasure of meeting a gal by the name of Monique. She took the time to explain how everything worked for Paleo and I really appreciated it. So just to let any fellow Paleo peeps know who might be reading this review, all the bowls are customizable and they have sugar free acai too & Paleo granola so us Paleos can partake in their goodies. Just go and they can accommodate you. They are more than willing to take high maintenance, long winded, no this, add that orders just like Starbucks. Monique recommend the Mustang bar by Paleo Treats and I fell in love. She wasn’t kidding about how good it was. I told her I’d be back and back I was. The next day I purchased one of every single Paleo Treats bars they sold and brought it up to LA with me so my friends and I could have a Paleo taste test. Monique didn’t steer us wrong as the Mustang bar won our taste test too. And staff was kind enough to keep my order refrigerated until school got out and I was ready to pick it up. I recommend trying out any of the Bowl of Heaven locations if you’re into healthy stuff like me. Friendly staff and great quality yummies make it a win. Enjoy!

Discovered this place was just off the 73 freeway on my way to work, and ever since I’ve been going there at least once a week if I have time. My wallet isn’t too happy about that but it’s nice to start the day with something healthy. The Paradise pitaya bowl has stolen my heart. I’ve also tried the peanut butter blast smoothie(I do love me some PB, but it was almost too much PB for me. Very thick) and the Popeye bowl and smoothie. Both were good, but not as green as you would expect something with«popeye» in the name to be. Staff is always really pleasant and they personally walk your order out to you, which I think is a nicer gesture than handing it over the counter. They have a rewards program and I got $ 5 off for my bday, which is a very good bday discount! I do wish they would put more fruit on top of the bowls, they kinda skimp on that and only put one little sliver of strawberry and like 5 slivers of kiwi. It looks very pretty on top but they could at least layer the fruit like they do the granola. Over all the prices are a bit high if I am to compare the portions to other smoothie bowl places I have been too.(I am an acai junkie!) I will keep coming here though.

Wow, does this place have the right name or what! Bowl of heaven is right. I’ve had acai bowls at around 15 different locations, and this place is definitely tied for first. I ordered the peanut butter acai bowl, and the consistency of the acai is perfection. I tend to like the milkier type flavoring as opposed to the fruity type(with apple juice base), so this bowl was perfect for me. Inside: peanut butter, acai On top: chocolate almond milk, granola, bananas I love the granola they use, it’s just the right size and goes perfectly with each bite. There is also a location at the District in Tustin, can’t wait to try that one as well.

Pretty addicted to Bowl of Heaven, glad I found out there’s one in Newport! I typically go to the one in RSM which offers the same experience. The staff is always friendly. Strayed from my usual peanut butter craving today(definitely suggest the peanut butter blast) and decided to get the Red Zinger. Loved the combination of dark chocolate and the tart berries. Fresh, healthy, and super yummy!

Bowl of Heaven could definitely be a good option if you’re craving a cold, healthy treat. They have all the combinations us in the OC have grown to know and love + a couple of seasonal items. However, be willing to shell out $ 7-$ 9+ for a smoothie or bowl. Service is OK. You should expect wait up to 10 min for your 1 item. TIP: You can beat the long wait by ordering on their app first. The best bowl I’ve had here was the seasonal Pumpkin. Overall, it wasn’t the best bowl I’ve ever had, but it’ll do in a pinch.

My friend was telling me about this acai bowl place that she goes to after yoga. We decided to visit together on a Saturday morning(after our yoga and zumba classes, respectively, of course!). I had not tried an acai bowl in a while, and I thought they all tasted the same to me. Getting here was easy, just off of Macarthur Blvd. Parking can be tough because it’s so crowded for some reason. Newport Beach is such a dog friendly city — there are more than two pet shops in this plaza. I believe there’s a grooming shop right next door. Don’t be surprised to see cute furry friends in and out of these shops here. During my visit, I saw a guy in business attire(and sunglasses, haha) walking a small white maltese inside! Bowl of Heaven is nice and cool inside. Reminded me of Jamba Juice. After checking out their menu, I noticed that they all had this MAQ7 juice. I like that they listed the ingredients separately for the blended part and for the toppings. I ordered a regular size of the sea sider. Instead of coconut shavings, I got strawberry topping instead. I really liked that they will personalize your bowl without extra charge. My friend got the peanut butter(her favorite!) with unsweetened vanilla instead of chocolate almond milk. I love their granola! I also love honey, although you can barely taste it. I will probably ask to take that out next time. I might not be back since I am closer to Barefoot. However, Bowl of Heaven is not too far from Fashion Island! I will be back if I’m in the area for some shopping. I’ll have to try their juice next time.

This is my favorite acai bowl place!!! I’ve tried the Sunset bowl, Red Zinger bowl and the Paradise bowl and the paradise is probably favorite. Call ahead or order using the app so you don’t have to wait. I called at noon on a Friday and it only took them 5 minutes to make it! I didn’t pay close attention to the menu and didn’t notice that the Sunset bowl doesn’t come with acai but is blended with pineapple, mango and strawberries so the color threw me off. It was still tasty though! The service is great too. All the employees are really nice

My friends and I decided to venture out to Newport Beach so we decided to find some place nearby for a healthy lunch – what better choice than an acai bowl? Bowl of Heaven is located inside a plaza with PetCo and Starbucks etc, so there is ample free parking for everyone. When we walked in there was no one in line, but right after we ordered literally 6 people walked in, how lucky were we! There is a huge menu at the top listing the acai bowl and juice/smoothie options. I had a really hard time choosing which one I wanted because there are so many bowl options and each bowl is pretty different from each other. This place offers three sizes – Small, Regular, Large. The small is actually really really small so it’s great as a small snack during the day – I’ve never seen an acai bowl place offer this size because it’s so small. In the end I chose the Sea Sider bowl and my friends the North Shore bowl. We ate this for lunch and a regular sized bowl filled us up good, I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t be able to finish a large one. Honestly the bowls tasted very similar – I’m sure it’ll be a different story if we got some of the other bowls with peanut butter, ginger, chocolate, whatnot. I was just kind of disappointed that my sea sider bowl only had strawberry as topping and the north shore bowl had only bananas :(of course, you can always add extra fruits for a dollar or two. There were also options to add various types of protein into the acai bowl. When I asked what the differences between the proteins are the server told me it was just the taste. I was totally going to try adding in protein until he said it tastes different and I suddenly backed out cause I didn’t want to take that risk of having a bad-tasting acai bowl. This place also sells healthy granola, protein powders, protein bars, etc. Overall this place is really creative with their bowl options but I just wished the toppings of each bowl weren’t so different from each other cause it made it very hard for me to decide which one to get XD

Sitting here waiting for my order which I think is taking a smidge long for what it is, juice. And just by sitting here and observing, I have to agree with Angeline K. Employees do not carry themselves professionally over here. At one point one guy was left making the orders while all other 3 employees disappeared. As customers came in he called a coworker for help, a heavier set girl comes out, «Whaaaaaaaaaat» with an annoyed look on her face. Letting everyone including the customers who are waiting to be served see the face of annoyance. Geeeeez. No acknowledgment towards the customers the female employee starts her bitching to the male employee who obviously has his hands full. He asks her to ring the customers up, but, «I’m on a break» as she rolls her eyes, still not acknowledging the customers. What happened to the other 2 girls and why are they no where to be found? And if the other girl can’t ring them up, at least let the guests know politely that she sees them and will get someone who can ring them up right away. Seriously, sour puss face. Go on your break and drink some of the juices you guys make so maybe you won’t be so damn constipated, bc that’s what you seem to be suffering from. Overall my juice, the root boost is yum. Not too sweet. Pinky got the green glory which his a little sweeter than mine with a ginger shot. He says their juices are better than Jamba Juice which is too sweet for his tastes. I’m not from this area, I just came for the pug adoption at the Petco a few stores down. I drive to Costa Mesa for Shuck & Sidecar on a decent basis. But, not sure Id try to make a stop here if ever in the area just bc the mood here is kind of miserable.

Livin up to the name Acai bowls are TRULYAWESOME and filling not to mention pretty healthy even with the juice that some people use it’s still probably better than double bacon cheese and ‘shrooms with fires. ANNNND they taste PRETTY darn GOOD! I have been wanting to try this place for a while and had it bookmarked probably just as long and my list is growing. So when I knew I would be passing by I made sure to make it a point to stop. I pull up and LUCKYMENOONE is there and parking is a plenty. I hop out and walk right in and check out the menu. Juices, smoothies, acai bowls. It looks like your typical smoothie/juice or acai bowl place. Clear menu, fresh fruit, picks of YUMMYBOWLGOODNESS and some healthy snacks. Most bowls places are pretty much the same and ONLY have one size bowl which is general about a medium size, except for one place I frequent. BUT this place is different and has 3SIZES! A small(which is about the half the size of what you usually see), regular(which is about the size of what you would get at other places) and there is a large, which is the size my one fav place near home but it cost more here. For the most part most bowls contain nanas and I HATE nanas so I was to substitute them like I normally have to. So I got the North Shore Original which has organic acai, strawberries, pineapple instead of nanas, blueberries, 100% apple juice and MAQ7. It is topped with organic granola(Hemp, Flax Seed), fresh strawberries instead of nanas and honey. I LOVED my bowl it was SOOOOOYUMMY and filling. I think next time I’ll ask for coconut or soy milk instead of apple juice. I’m NOT a big fan of juice being used in my bowls. My friend got the Sea Sider which was organic acai, strawberries, pineapple, blueberries, nanas, unsweetened vanilla almond milk and MAQ7. It was topped with organic granola(Hemp, Flax Seed), shredded coconut, fresh strawberries and honey. I guessing it was GOOD because by the time we got to our destination all I heard was SCRAPPING of the spoon at the bottom of the container. Aside from licking fingers and ACTUALLY eating the cup all was gone and the ONLY thing left was a SMILE! Haha! Overall this place GETHIGHMARKS! They have a large variety of bowls and they have juices and smoothies if you want something different. They also have different sizes. So if you just want a snack then the small is for you. If you want a meal then the regular is for you and if your STARVING like a hostage and your tum-tum is twisting around your spine like mine does then get the large. There is plenty of parking but it could get tricky when it’s busy as this place shares a lot with several other businesses. There is a small area for seating but not much so a big group is probably NOT a GOOD idea, but grab and go would work. Everyone that works here is SUPERDUPERNICE and FRIENDLY and REALLY goes out of there way accommodate you. I also like that they had a to go holder which was REALLYNICE and convenient in case you’re playing goffer for a friend.
