When you walk in, you can smell the fresh fruits & vegetables; you already start feeling healthy. Then when you take that first sip, it’s so refreshing & revitalizing; you immediately feel better. Friendly, knowledgeable workers & quick service too! The drinks are not the usual sweet, sweet smoothies we’re used to, but it’s something different & especially appealing once you realize how fresh & nutrient the ingredients they’re putting into it are. I’d recommend for first timers to try the pink flamingo or orange crush. I like to add cayenne pepper to the orange crush; it makes it taste like Mexican candy! If you wanna get your greens in, their signature drink is the greenie; get it on ice! If you want all the nutrients from the greenie, but are more of a first timer, try the toxin flush! The toxin flush is more sweet, a more glorified apple juice. Prices are a little steep, but totally worth it. Join their rewards program for more frequent visits!

SOGOOD. Better than Jamba Juice. Way better than Juice it Up! Definitely better than Booster Juice. Do yourself a favor order THEBUZZ.

I contacted Nekter regarding my dissatisfaction over the cleanse on the 2nd day of the cleanse, and I was told cleanses are non-refundable and satisfaction is not guaranteed.

Normally good service. Went this morning 4÷21÷16 to buy my coworker a bday treat and the girl who had the keys showed up 7 – 10 minutes late. Instead of helping me she decided she needed to take her time to set everything else up. Decided to just get a gift card instead of a drink to speed things up and they still couldn’t figure it out. Then she gives me the most rushed service and mumbles that they’re out of gift card sleeves as she walks away and back to get herself in order. Sorry I made you feel pressured, girl with the keys. Some of us wanna get to work on time.

I really enjoy smoothies especially trying new vegan and organic drinks at specific eateries. Nektar is like a vegans dream with a large variety of shakes, juices and bowls made for the organic community. While I would suggest this place over a Jamba Juice, I would also suggest to everyone that heavy duty blender or juicer would be more cost effective than this chain. Most importantly, their largest size is 32oz but the price would be $ 7+. This makes sense when the drinks are all freshly made and organic, but the tastes of their drinks are just a bit weird. For example, their greenie, which is the most popular drink, is consistently sour and kale tasting. The sweetness required for a delicious juice is not there. Most importantly, the vibe seems to cater to individuals who wish to do cleanses and detoxes which they do offer. My main recommendation would be to try this place for a custom smoothie or acai bowl. But anything from their menu is hit or miss and will cost you. Both in taste and the wallet

Nekter is one of my favorite juice bars. My favorite is The Buzz & pitaya bowl yummm. I have tried just about every juice including the skinny lemonades … So refreshing! Gotta love the app as well!

They raised their prices up by a whole dollar and now it’s just not worth spending $ 6 on a 16 oz drink. The drinks are still good but not affordable.

I’ve always loved Nektar but this location never fails to go above and beyond. Their juices are so refreshing and service has always been great. I have been a regular here for quite a while but I was so happy with my service today that I decided to finally write a review! I usually purchase the greenie(perfect option if you’re a veggie lover) with a ginger shot however I wanted to add some heart-healthy protein for a pre-workout snack. Ashley was very sweet & helpful & she suggested that I add some hemp protein and try the smoothie instead. She even wrote down the exact recipe so I know exactly how it was made. She’s awesome! Love the staff and service here, I highly recommend visiting this location if you’re a first-timer :)

This review is solely for their 3-DAY CLASSICCLEANSE! Juice cleanses have been rising in popularity these past couple years and while there has been skepticism surrounding the detox and beneficial properties of cleanses, it didn’t deter me from trying it at least once. After doing research on multiple companies offering juice cleanses, my friend and I finally settled on Nekter’s classic 3 day cleanse. They also offer 1 day, and 5 day cleanses, in addition to an «Advanced Cleanse» with slightly different juices. [see below pictures for the juices in my Classic Cleanse] Day #1: I woke up bright and early, excited to start a 3 day diet on nothing but juices! I arrived at my local Nekter store around 10am and opened Juice #1. The green flavor was strong, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Before I knew it, Juice #2 was up. The Cayenne Pepper with lemon flavoring was refreshing and gave a spicy kick. After arriving at school for class, I popped open Juice #3 which literally tasted identical to Juice #1. I did notice my hunger pangs significantly reduced after this drink and didn’t start my Juice #4 until 6pm. Juice #4 felt like a lemonade mixed with charcoal powder. Immediately after drinking #4, I jumped into #5, my last green drink of the day. Once again, it was similar to #1 and #3 but it was sweeter due to the apples and ginger. I don’t mind ginger TOO much, but the ginger was definitely the most prominent flavor in this drink. By 8pm, I was exhausted and brought Juice #6 with me to bed. As I drifted off to sleep, I slowly drank my last drink, which was sweet, comforting, and felt substantially more filling than the other drinks. The nutty, vanilla bean drink sent me off to a deep slumber before I awoke for Day #2… In summary, Day #2 was probably my hardest and Day #3 tested my temptation and willpower, but ultimately, I survived the 3 day cleanse! A few things to address… During the cleanse: –Hunger: I feel like I wanted to eat more because I missed the act of eating instead of the actual hunger. Evenings were definitely difficult as it seemed like everyone around you is eating… but it was definitely bearable. –Headaches: A common symptom of cleanses, I only had a major headache evening of Day #1 into the morning of Day #2. The headache was pretty severe but it was nothing some ibuprofen couldn’t fix. After the cleanse: –Cravings: SIGNIFICANTLYREDUCED! This was probably the best thing that I got out of this cleanse. –Full feeling: Another significant difference I noticed was that I ate WAY less after the cleanse. I constantly felt full and didn’t feel hungry as much. On the morning after my cleanse, I ate 2 hard boiled eggs and felt stuffed. It was a weird, but pleasant feeling. –Sleeping Patterns: Not going to lie, I love sleeping and hate mornings… but after the cleanse, I felt less tired and more alert during the day. I also found myself naturally waking up before my alarm in the mornings, which is a nice and refreshing way to start the day. –Weight loss: Cleanses stress that they should not be used for the sole purpose of weight loss so I was aware of that entering the cleanse. In the 3 days, I lost approximately 3 – 4 lbs of water weight. While I quickly regained 1 – 2 lbs after the cleanse, I’ve noticed that I am still lighter than I was before, probably due to the fact that I’m eating healthier and in smaller amounts. All in all… I highly recommend at least trying a cleanse if you’re thinking about it. It changes up the pace of your life and helps you identify unhealthy eating habits. The commitment you put into the cleanse also jump starts a healthier lifestyle after the cleanse. I took one star off because the variety of the juices weren’t great and by day 3, I was sooo tired of drinking green juices. I’m not a nutritionist and I don’t know the specific deets on the biological and nutritional benefits to the cleanse, but based on my personal experience, overall, I had a positive and rewarding experience.

I really like Nekter, despite their outrageous price 20% price hikes on top of their already crazy prices. They have a lot of really great smoothies and juices as well as bowls and custom and ready-made cleanses. I was really sad when they tweaked their menus a couple of months ago and removed some of the real classics, like the Cure. They do have close substitutes, though I don’t prefer them. In any case, this location makes their products really well and the staff are very courteous, skilled, and professional. Every time I’ve been here, they’ve made their juices and smoothies with the best proportions of ingredients, which can really make a difference in how your taste buds handle your healthy drink! One of my current favorites to get from here is the Toxin Flush juice, which is such a great refreshing drink. This location has made the best version of this drink out of any other Nekter’s I’ve been to, so if you like ginger then this place handles their ratios right! I also love how well they make their seasonal drinks, like the Valentine’s Date smoothie(surprise! It has dates!). Last thing, if you plan on coming here at least 20 times in your life time, I really recommend getting their tumbler because it can end up saving you a ton of money in the long run since they also give you discounts for bringing the Nekter cups.

I’ve been recently going to this Nekter location after a couple of my UCI friends told me about it. I am insanely hooked onto it. This location is a bit small and can be cramped during lunch hour, but their service is relatively fast for these kinds of drinks. The wait is reasonable given that the juices are all fresh. My favorite is the Sublime. It’s a green juice that has mainly oranges and cucumber with spinach, kale, parsley, and lime. It’s simply sublime! But for beginners, try the Toxin Flesh since it’s a lot sweeter than all of the other juices. I really appreciate the customer service that I get at this Nekter location. For example, one day, I decided to try the PB Bowl, and when a guy brought me my bowl, I noticed that it was really liquidy — not at all how a acai bowl should be(it should be thicker like a thicker smoothie). I went back in line to let the workers know. One of the workers, Nancy, sincerely apologized for the mistake and promptly remade my order. She made it with the correct consistency in only a few minutes, which I was very appreciative of. Overall, they do all they can to make sure the customer is happy. It’s a great place to get something healthy to eat or drink when you don’t have the time to go back to your dorm/apartment and cook something for yourself.

LOVENEKTER… Miss it so much when I’m back in Boston. Literally the first place I hit up, when I’m back home in Irvine. First things first, 1. The GREENIE(juice) — for the regular green juice drinkers. Tastes healthy, fresh and green. Don’t expect a lot of sweetness. I appreciate the GREENIE a whole lot. 2. The Toxin Flush(juice) — a lot 100x sweeter than the greenie because an entire apple goes in. It’s a lot easier to drink and probably most loved by those who prefer a sweeter green juice. 3. The pink flamingo–(smoothie) OMG. So good. If I’m craving something naughty, sweet, and delicious… I literally run and grab this smoothie. Just as the name states, it’s HOTPINK. Not only does it provide my eyes the much needed visual stimuli, but my taste buds are just as happy. Perfect amount of sweetness, crunch from the granola, and healthy tasting factor from the fruit! Any of these drinks would please the average joe and the juice fanatic.

Love Nekter… at the West Hollywood Location. This was my first time at the Irvine location since I was meeting some friends for lunch in the area. What a surprise at how different the customer service is. Incompetent and unfriendly are the only ways I can describe my experience here. I came in on a Sunday afternoon for a juice, and I saw promotion for the buy a $ 25 gift card, get $ 5 gift card free. I asked the cashier if I could apply the gift card to my order. She said she had to ask someone. Another girl comes to ring up my order and charges me for my drink AND the $ 25 gift card, without even saying anything! I didn’t realize what had happened and I just signed, but I assumed she was getting her manager because maybe she couldn’t do the transaction or wasn’t authorized to scan a gift card. But all the second girl did was swipe my credit card. I said to her, I thought you were going to apply the gift card to the drink. To that, she rudely replied, «No, people always think they can do that.» At no point did she tell me that before she ran the transaction. Had I known, I wouldn’t have even bought the gift card. But there was a line that formed behind me and I figured I could use the the gift card at the West Hollywood location anyway, but I probably wouldn’t ever go back to this location given her bad attitude. I wish I had gotten her name but she definitely should not be working in customer service. I also forgot to have her scan my Nekter rewards on my phone, and when I asked her, before I even stepped out of line, she said, «It’s too late, I ran your card already.» Thanks for nothing, Irvine Nekter. Just as bad as the attitude of the cashier, was the taste of the Greenie(#1). It was super bland and tasted nothing like the Weho location which I’ve had more times that I can even remember. There’s really no excuse for how unpleasant the service was at this location and it’s unfortunate that this happened at a brand that I really like and have raved about, but I’ll stick to the other locations from now on.

Best pitaya bowl in OC!!! You can make modifications and all the bowls cost about $ 8. They are located around the corner from the trader joes and the restroom is just to the left and around the corner from them. I think the cleanse stuff is super hokey but some people are into it. Go for the pitaya bowl

Located in the UCIUTC, this place has a lot of competition. So many new and highly rated restaurants that just opened. The area is always crowded with college students and families. Nekter is a bit hard to find, since it is located in the middle of the shopping center next to Le Diplomat sandwich shop. The store has FREEWIFI, and it is very spacious when you walk in. The cashier area has a lot of healthy living items so make sure to check those out. I decided to order the Toxin Flush($ 5.50), since it was the perfect remedy after a long day. Came out fast in about 4 minutes, but there was no line. It definitely tasted healthy, not too much sugar and you could really taste the GREEN. $ 7 for an acai bowl, which is a bit expensive but they look really good. I just ate before at Eureka! so will definitely try it on my next visit.

Im used to a thicker, icier smoothie, but this one came out like juice. Im also used to a nuttier flavor and not such a strong spinach taste like I got with this one. My husband got the Date Nut and his also came out like juice, but the flavor was ok. All in all, it was very unsatisfying. Especially on such a hot day like today. We probably wont be coming back to this location. =(

Nekter Native I tend to come into this Nekter location sporadically. My main reason is due to the overall experience I receive there, I have never had a positive one. Whenever I do end up here, it is because my ultimate craving for a freshly pressed, ice cold juice(basically to make myself feel somewhat healthy). The customer service level definitely needs to increase, in order to keep customers happy. If it wasn’t for their tasty juices I don’t think this location would be as successful, especially with the popularity with UTC’s healthy lifestyle shift. I either order«the greenie» or the«toxin flush» which both contain a solid foundation of greens, apple, and ginger. They are extremely tasty and makes my tummy very content. I always get my juice iced, which usually takes your drink size in a larger cup, more to my liking. I really do hope not every other Nekter location has this kind of customer service and perhaps the company needs to step up their training program.

Juicing gives your digestive tract a break(fun fact of the day). With that said, Nekter is my favorite place to get juice(BYEJAMBA). I haven’t gotten an acai bowl here though, I mostly get them at Acai Republic. Anyways, the environment is noisy for studying and reading with blenders going and such, so not a good place to study or anything like that — mostly to chat with friends. But I see most people just get their drinks and go. I invested in one of their 9.95 cups to the right of the register. The best part is, you get a free drink with the purchase of the cup, and when you keep coming back they take .50 off your drink! If you come here often its a good investment for the planet and for yourself. My personal favorite is Toxin Flush and The Glow. Toxin Flush is green, sweet because of the apple base, and has a kick because of the ginger. The Glow is orange, contains carrots, and about the same ingredient base as Toxin Flush.

I needed a positive start to my morning today since I knew today was gonna suck big time. To the rescue was Nekter Juice Bar. Its located across from UCI in the Edwards Cinema complex. Parking was a breeze. I walked in and ordered their Banana Berry Blast size regular which was actually a lot for me. It tasted really good and I could see myself drinking in as a breakfast daily or after a good workout. All you can really taste are the fruits blended together with no artificial ingredients at all which is good. I needed a fresh start to my day. The service was nice and they were quick and efficient. I wasn’t on a time crunch but I wanted to get my drink and go. It took no longer than 5 minutes before they had my drink(really probably 3). I’ll probably be back to try their acai bowls. They looked delicious but I was in a mood for a smoothie. PS I think this will be my go to place for acai bowls since my former one is a bit too out of the way for me.

Why couldn’t this place be around when I was attending UCI?!? I love acai bowls and have been searching around for the best place. This definitely is high up on my list! This place can get a little pricey but all places that serve fresh fruit can get that way. I like how friendly the workers are and how they’re always willing to help you find something you might like. I know a few places that have intimidating white girls working who really don’t want to be there. Anyway service was great and we got our orders quickly. I’ve been to Nekter a couple of times and have order the acai banana berry bowl and the pink flamingo. My favorite is the pink flamingo with blended chia seeds. It’s not too sweet and its perfect for a midday snack. I’ve never tried the juice cleanses but I’ve heard from friends that they aren’t too bad. I would never try it but they recommended it. Overall really great place for a smoothie or acai bowl. I’d stop by if I was looking for a healthy snack. I’ll definitely stop by whenever I’m back at UCI.
