Best cup of coffee you’re likely to find in Texas! He even accommodated our request for a flat white and executed well! You can tell they care about the details which is almost unheard of in TX. They also do single origin. Will definitely come back whenever we’re in Gruene! P. S.- They have a drive thru! woohoo!

Cute little coffee shop nestled in the Gruene Lake Village shopping complex. Had the best ever iced coffee. So addicted that I go once a week now.

Man. I could’ve sworn I Unilocaled this place forever ago. I was all like, «I love this place so much! So glad I told everyone about it!» And then I realized I didn’t. Josh is serious about his coffee. His espresso drinks are great, and so is his iced coffee… by far the best in New Braunfels. Plus he does amazing latte art(3D included). Also, there are plenty of places to sit and get work done, or just to hang out, and it’s usually a pretty calm space. And now, I have told everyone.

Super cute coffee shop, with friendly service and an extensive coffee menu. We stopped here on two occasions and enjoyed iced chai’s and iced coffee, both were good. Starbucksesque. The atmosphere is good — clean, spacious shop with both tables and couches. Plus a few board games to play if you really want to enjoy your coffee for an hour or two.

Great coffee and great staff. If you are visiting Gruene or passing through New Braunfels, it is worth the stop to just enjoy coffee with friends. If you live in New Braunfels or the area this really ought to be the place you go for coffee. Truly, why do people go to Starbucks when we have this gem. Additionally, if you are on the run they have a drive-thru(unlike the NB Starbucks). Their breakfasts are equally as delicious as their coffee same for the scones and other items. If I had a criticism it would be that they close at noon on Monday. Though, with how committed they are to making great coffee and providing great customer service it makes sense to take some time to relax. Also note, I’ve tried other coffee shops in the area and while I’m certain they all intend to provide a satisfying experience to customers, none of them can compare to the exceptional character of the Gruene Grind Coffee Company.

Gruene Grind is the only place I drink coffee in Gruene /New Braunfels. They have a single origin espresso that is to die for, and the Manager, Josh, is a black belt sensei in coffee kung-fu. Seeing foam-art skills like his in Texas is like tasting a tomato for the first time: mind-boggling!

My partner in crime and I were in the area and stopped here for a late afternoon pick-me-up. I love the area this building sits in — I remember when the new development of houses came up a couple of years ago and I saw a lot of the preperations being made for these businesses. The GGCC is homey, comfy, laid back, and casual. When we went inside, there were no customers but the guy behind the counter greeted us almost immediately. I wasn’t sure what to order and even though I normally ask for recommendations, I noticed one of the specials on the board. Now, I apologize that I forgot the name but I know it said something Hawaiian and then I figured I had to try it. I asked if it was hot or cold and he said I could have it either way so I opted for iced. The coffee was bold and strong. He did sweeten it but it was just enough to not feel as though I was drinking straight sugar — I could definitely taste the coffee. My partner in crime had to sweeten theirs a little more but I was good to go. We spent about 20 minutes just hanging out, watching tv, and reading a local paper. I definitely dig this place and wish there was one right by me. :D

Cool place, as evidenced by the posters of Steve McQueen and Paul Newman on the wall. Great atmosphere, coffee, and service.

Just made my first visit to the Gruene Grind Coffee Company, but it won’t be the last. It is now a must stop whenever I’m in the area. Great coffees, lattes, and baked goods. Very relaxing atmosphere that makes you feel at home right away. I highly recommend them to everyone. I understand that they even have music nights(which I missed!).

To be fair, I have only been twice, and both times I had a white chocolate mocha, so I don’t have a broad base of experience with this place. However, in my opinion, they brew some of the best coffee I have ever had! My first visit, I also had a chocolate muffin, and that was quite tasty as well. Glad I don’t live right next door to this place because I would not be able to avoid the temptation of their drive thru every morning!

I was so excited to see such a jewel of a coffee shop open up in Gruene! This place is such a cozy, delicious find in this vacation hot spot. As soon as you walk in you’re greeted with a smile and walked through the menu if you need help. I buy their Chai or White Mocha paired with a delicious scone or cookie. All their pastries are baked fresh. Don’t leave Gruene without visiting and relaxing at the comfy couch or outside next to the fountain:)
