The Crosswalk is one of my favorite places in New Braunfels. If you like fresh, flavorful, healthy food that you can get fast and is always delicious then this is your place! The Mediterranean sandwich is always a great choice as well as the turkey ciabatta and the tomato basil soup is some of the best I’ve ever had. And if you’re in the mood for a sweet treat, my gosh the blueberry scone is pillowy and soft and heavenly! Love the drive thru fast service.

Okay, so I gave crosswalk café two other chances. The first time I brought my sister and the stores espresso machine was broken so the woman at the counter couldn’t make a latte, but then offered to do it. she disappeared into the back and came back with my drink. I think it was a microwaved ½ coffee ½ milk. My sister and I wanted to get a pastry, but nothing looked appetizing. The next time I went to get a latte, I was not impressed, it was so so. I’m not brave enough to order anything other than a drink here. In their favor, it is a cozy shop and I can see why the patrons all seemed to have laptops and hang out. It was sad to see some little girl(belonged to one the the employees) stuck there while her mother worked. Go the extra distance and go to Two Rivers if you want a local coffee house

Great discovery. Stopped at crosswalk after a 6 hr drive. Wanted a quiet place for light meal. The food was wonderful and coffee fresh and hot. So many choices and the food being organic made it all the better. Will definitely make this a stop thru new braunfels every time we pass thru. Added bonus: Staff was kind and bathrooms super clean.

Update: the owner got into contact with me very quickly and apologized and offered me a gift card for my troubles. He was extremely nice. I haven’t been back yet because of scheduling, but I ran into one of the managers and even though he wasn’t on the clock or even in the facility at the time he still apologized multiple times and spoke with me about my concerns and said that if I had any more issues to please tell him. That is awesome customer service right there! The food here is awesome. Most of the staff is very friendly and helpful. However… my orders are normally wrong. I don’t typically complain because it’s a simple mistake or something I can work around. Normally I don’t have time to go back and have it fixed. My coffee isn’t sweetened or creamed, condiments left on, etc. this last time I asked for no bell peppers(allergic) and the window staff got what I said confused with banana peppers(still allergic). She asked if I still wanted the bell peppers and I told her«No» because I was allergic. I wait a bit. Get my food and head to work. I open it to eat before clicking in and I’m immediately blown away by the smell of bell peppers. I was extremely disappointed. My coffee didn’t even have creamer in it. So now I paid $ 13 for food that I can’t even eat or have it fixed before work. Once again the food is great… when it’s right. There are a few gentlemen there that always get my order right at least. It just seems like the new people don’t care enough to listen fully… and they don’t even look like they really want to be there.:(

So the food here is great. Fresh and they have a couple of Gluten Free options — even coconut macaroons, HOWEVER the wait is often LONG and they’ve messed up my order on several occasion and nothing was done to remedy it, other than an ‘oops I“m sorry’ … we will occasionally still come here because we live close by — but it’s not my 1st choice … for neither breakfast or coffee…

I’ve never had a bad experience at Crosswalk. The employees are great, the coffee is always hot, and their soups are fantastic. I recommend it to anyone who’s addicted to coffee like me! :D

I would like to give more stars because the food was good, but a little deceiving. I had a craving for an adult style blt and there was a great one on the menu, the Fourage. It had 4 different cheese one being Gorgonzola. When I took a bite of the great looking sandwich I quickly noticed a bleu cheese flavor(which I do like) that I was not expecting. When I informed the employees that maybe they got them switched they said they know but that’s what the owners want to use. If I was a person who did not like bleu cheese I would have been very upset! I went ahead and ate half of the sandwich but see how what the menu described would have been better. The spinach salad I got was good… which had goranzola… other than that it was a pleasant experience. The wide tea selection is a nice touch and the employees were kind and helpful.

Soup and sandwich was very good and no pressure from a waiter or waitress very relaxing.

I have been here a few times and have not been impressed. The coffee is always weak or too much milk and I tried a lemon blueberry bread and it was not only burnt-tasting but super dry– so who knows how old it was. I don’t see what all the hype is, and I’ve been to both locations. The only positives are that they have a drive-thru and the inside is cozy.

The breakfast sandwich I had was really good! The Bagel & Lox was a joke, I was really disappointed with it The tables there are very unstable, some of them had folded newspaper under them to keep them from moving(I would say probably put there by a customer). The staff was just«meh.» They were very quiet and not engaging at all. I wouldn’t say they were rude, they just put off a vibe that read«I would rather be at home on the couch watching re-runs of Dexter…» It wasn’t bad, but not great, I probably won’t go back.

This Coffeehouse and café is located in a strip shopping center and is their second location; the other being downtown and the more traditional coffee house feel. This large space is geared more toward a sandwich and soup lunch crowd. I like the seating arrangements. There are a couple of 2-seater hightops, a couple of comfortable leather chair pairs with a table full of magazines, and two whole rows(about 10 tables) down the center of traditional lunch booths. With the drive through, this place reminds me of someone who wants to go nationwide one day. The portfolio of products in the restaurants is similar to that California chain, Sertinos. However, unlike their pannini-pressed simple sandwiches, these sandwiches at Crosswalk are deli crafted style(i.e., Jason’s Deli). There are a few pieces of art adorning the wall, including several photographs from silver plate photography in New Braunfels. One local artist is also highlighted with his paintings. The coffee was nothing special, but they have Italian sodas, lattes, and chai teas. They source their coffee from Barrett’s coffee roasters out of Austin. Notwithstanding, the mediocre coffee, I gave them the 4th star for friendly service and free wifi with 5 bars. Unless, I want to try one of their delicious looking sandwiches one day(muffaletta), or need to use this drive through here just for drip coffee(not a latte), I will probably continue to get one of those rich, smooth delicious lattes at 2 rivers, just right down the street.

I had a bad experience here and the owner has messaged me a couple time over the last year to try and send me a gift card and get feedback… How refreshing! It shows me that they really do care and want to make things right. I’ve never had that happen on here before. Great work on their part! Five stars for customer service!

Looking for an eatery that was kid friendly in the area around Landa Park and this was one of the options. Unfortunately, the person who deemed it kid friendly must have had a child already potty trained. There are no changing tables in the women’s restroom, didn’t check the guys since I’m not one. Food was okay, the kids grilled cheese was room temp when we got it. Italian sandwich was drowning in Italian dressing. Service was good and the cashier seemed apologetic that there were no changing tables in the restroom. Would have gotten a cupcake after our meal, but my little one had other ideas and we had to get going.

Crosswalk Café is consistently disappointing. They get 2 stars for the quality of their food and beverages most of the time. The biggest complaint is the service and I’m not even including how long you have to wait. I have been going to crosswalk for over a year and in that time I have always had to remind them that I ordered water, they always forget.(That’s right not once have they remembered.) while the kolaches taste good they often fail to warm them up enough and are still cold when I get them. If you want soup, you better get there before noon or they will run out and the last time I got soup it was undercooked. I got the potato and the pieces of potato were still raw and almost crunchy. I couldn’t eat it. The staff must be hard to retain because there is a new person every time and they seem not to care about their job much because they do not know their menu and consistently forget menu items or orders. For instance, take yesterday, I ordered mango hot tea which they have had for over a year and I ordered a few weeks ago. Girl claimed they didn’t carry it and never had and refused to look after I politely asked her to check as I had ordered this numerous times before. My suggestion, don’t go. I love the concept and in general the food is good but don’t expect to great service.

Crosswalk has a very convenient drive-through, an extensive sandwich, salad and baked goods menu. And certainly an extensive coffee menu. They also have small outdoor dining area. The décor is nice and modern, and they have a few comfortable leather chairs to sit and read in. I generally get the turkey ciabatta, and it is fresh and flavorful. Nice bread and lovely, flavorful turkey.

I used to work right next door to this place(The one in main plaza NB), and that’s how I tried it for the first time. My friend and I went one day on our lunch break just because we saw a cute guy who worked there(this was also like 5 or 6 years ago). We walked and we both ordered the chicken salad sandwich and sweet tea. It was so good! I was definitely addicted to that sandwich. After a while, we forgot the guy and just went to the sandwiches. They also used to have really good smoothie but it’s been so long, I’m not sure that they still do. This place is one of the reasons I miss being in New Braunfels everyday. Its a very down to earth and casual place. Very easy to just sit down and catch up with friends or bring your laptop and do work. Makes me want to drive out there to visit again!
