Overcrowded events, and the icing on the cake was when they somehow lost my checked coat. Great customer service.

Last night if you were one of the potentially thousands who attended M Streets New Years sold out event then you most likely got to see this massive new event space. Its actually a lot larger than I thought. Like HUGE! We stood outside in a line wrapped around the corner in the lovely New Years weather(so cold!) for a bit too long… however, once I got through the long line, which hopefully they will have more staff checking people in next year. but anyways about this new much needed Nashville space. After the event space in the Gulch got bought out/sold to Urban Outfitters we have needed a large multi functional space like this in that area! Well M Street finally brought us one. It had a great walkway down into the space so it really gives it that club feel, complete with coat check space and of course for last night, red carpet. You walk in into about the middle of this huge warehouse space so you can choose to step up to the long bar in the back or onto the main floor, which for last night had a great stage with DJ’s, dancers, the whole thing. Ceilings were extremely high with exposed piping. It’s a very warehouse and open concept in order to fit the large amount of people. With the great music and huge main floor I felt like I got a little flash back to my club days in the meat packing haha! But you can use this space really however you like. The bar in the back is really long but let me tell you when that space packs out like last night, even the bar took me 30min to get a drink. and that’s when I was all the way up to the bar! Hopefully, this was just because it was NYE and let’s be honest the goal is to drink… a lot! Also, by the back bar there are stairs that led to a VIP area. I didn’t go up there but I’m sure that’s a great perk to the space. Bathrooms aren’t big(not many stalls) considering the large space and the amount of people it can hold, but were nice and did the trick. The one downside to the space was how slippery the main floor was. People were dropping like flies! They are slippery to begin with but once those drinks spill here or there it’s like walking on ice. I enjoyed laughing at the people falling(I know horrible) until sadly I was one of them. Both my guy friend and I ate it while dancing. Guess that means it was a great NYE; But seriously someone could really get hurt! Overall great new open multifunctional space minus the slippery when wet floors; but Hopefully, a great new space for future concerts and events.
