Super 8 West Nashville

This place is horrible. Customer service is crap. I got in here at 8 AM paid for by a company I’m going to be starting work for, so you’d think they’d accommodate me, but they won’t put me in a room until 1PM. Their housekeeping gets in at 9 AM but apparently it takes 4 hours to clean one hotel room. The desk clerk was very rude and the lobby smells like old piss.

Don’t stay here. Bed bugs in the mattresses. High prices for the quality of rooms. Drive the extra distance and stay somewhere you won’t regret!

Stayed here for 6 nights while waiting for my new place to be ready. Room was clean, the furniture was a little worn though, but comfortable. the people at the front desk are very nice and attentive. I needed them to print and fax documents for me and they were more than happy to help. Breakfast is pretty basic, cereal and juice, they do have waffles though. My ONLY complaint, I had my two pugs in my room and I didn’t want room service coming in so I had my do not disturb sign out all the time (I don’t change my sheets every single day at home and I didn’t feel it was necessary to have room service throw open my door and let my dogs out), they were almost militant about coming in to clean my room. The guy at the front desk calls and says they MUST clean the room, since dogs «smell very very bad». One, my pugs don’t smell and two, it was a DOG friendly room! It smelled like dogs when I got there. I’ve stayed at many, many hotels with my pugs and I’ve never had one be so adamant about coming in when the do not disturb sign is on the door. Anyway, other than that, not a bad stay, close to a lot of businesses, decent price for West Nashville.

As you can guess from the name, this place is cheap. But why the four stars? It’s a new property, clean and well maintained. One night was under $ 75, and I’ve stayed at other motels in Nashville over $ 100 that were older and dirtier. The bed was soft, TV was decently sized, and not much noise from our neighbors at night. It’s a little further out from downtown Nashville but conveniently located near Nashville West, so you’re not far from restaurants and shopping.
