Jed’s Sports Bar & Grille

A legitimately terrible bar. The drinks are expensive, and the draft beer is gross. The food is repulsive. I would complain about the wait staff, but they’re not around enough to leave a bad impression.
Love the foosball table though!

I came here for trivia just last Thursday. The waitress was completely absentminded, leaving us at a table for over twenty minutes. She kept forgetting components of our order, from sauces, to if we ordered water, and who among us each order belonged to. When we finally got our food from a different server, my black bean burger came out decently with a plentiful side of fries. However, we were continuously astounded by the waitstaff’s inability to serve us. She neglected to refill drinks and a couple friends just went directly to the bar to get extra water (since that seemed to provide faster service). On top of all this ridiculousness, she comes out with a bill (mind you, a party of three), with a mandatory whopping 20% gratuity attached to it. I have never felt more dissatisfied with any other dining experience in Nashville. I can deal with shoddy service. What I cannot stand is shoddy service that demands 20% tip for forgetting waters, forgetting orders, and overall creating an atmosphere of chaos. I will not be ordering food here ever again on a Thursday night, unless they shift the waitstaff hours.
The only reasons I’m maintaining two stars is because trivia night itself is a great idea, and they have a decent MC.

Came in for a late lunch and early happy hour. Great beer selection and Jane, our bartender, made our day! She is fantastic!!!

Jed’s is a middling sports bar just like all the others in the midtown area. Sure, they have screens but if you really wanted to watch the game you would be better off at home. There is no distinctive vibe and no special bar/​pub food to write home about.
I had a few beers and milled around the bar with my friends. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries — the burger didn’t really have much flavor and the fries were undercooked. Tried my buddy’s guac & chips — again, no flavor.
Later, we sat out on the patio and that was a pleasant interlude. If you somehow end up at Jed’s it’s a fair enough place to spend a few hours but don’t make any special plans to come out here.

Cool venue, love the outside patio portion. Not great food. I ordered a simple grilled chicken sandwich, and it was just COVERED in Old Bay. Now, I love Old Bay, but damn — I just wanted chicken! I skipped lunch so I ate it but I don’t think I would get anything but the burgers. Meanwhile, the Old Bay fries had no seasoning on them. LOLWUT?

Always delightful the food is good and the drink prices are great! I enjoy the patios and playing bean bags outdoors. They have a writers night, I’ve briefly experienced. I’ve made this a regular Happy Hour destination!

Why do places in Nashville have covered patios when they leave have them closed during nice weather? We specifically chose Jed’s because of the upstairs covered patio (as there is a chance of rain today). However, when we arrived the upstairs patio was closed & the indoor area smelled like a men’s urinal. I could not imagine ordering any food from any establishment that smells as terrible as Jed’s. I will definitely not be visiting again.

I love the atmosphere to watch sports. Beer is always fresh and they have an outdoor patio that has 2 large flat panel tvs.
Good amount of seating outside on the first floor. There is also outdoor seating upstairs.
The reason for the 2 stars is the food is bland. The chicken wings cooked perfect but need more sauce. Also they water down their blue cheese. THE worse way to increase profit margin. Always got to go thick w blue cheese.

Every time I have been here it has been ok. I don’t know why. because this place is way better than this. I like when more people are there because there is a great buzz within the place, especially when people are cheering for their favorite sports team. They have a great selection of draft beers and a numerous availability of tvs. The service is below average but that’s because I believe they are totally understaffed. But it’s a great neighborhood hangout feel that is close enough to el casa, so I will always frequent here especially after a sand volleyball game at centennial

The only reason we come is because it’s right around the corner. Food sucks. Service is terrible. This place COULD be the best sports bar in the city if they put out some effort.

Great Sunday and Tuesday drink specials. Do NOT order queso. Super runny and tasted like dishwater. We traded for salsa… Which was fine but most likely store bought Pace brand. Go for beer and sports

I have lots of mixed feelings about Jed’s. Lets get straight to it —
The Bad:
1. Service can be pretty crappy especially if it is busy… (the servers work their asses off, to me it is about not having enough — they try really hard).
2. The food — eh standard bar food, and it gets old super quick.
The Good:
1. Amazing personalities work here and when it isn’t super busy they are oh so friendly…
2. Has that neighborhood bar feel for young professionals through and through
3. Perfect or game watching
4. Trivia nights! (beware its really hard though).
The Awesome
1. BEST BUSHWHACKER in all of Nashville in my opinion
2. Easily walkable from the park so a great place to mingle after a stroll/​event in the park

Standard sports bar, except for the shockingly terrible food and service. The first drink took nearly 30 min to get. I wouldn’t have minded so much, but to add insult to injury, the drink was god awful.
Then my sandwich was made with a butt of the loaf piece of bead. Sacrifice the 5 cents and throw that piece out!
Then, to top it off, the bartender was nowhere to be found. I waited patiently for her return which took about 10 min, and I left, hopefully for good.

Great food great atmosphere great service!!! Kristie was awesome even served us in the rain! Awesome time highly recommended! :)

Haven’t eatin here but I REALLY like this place, they have great beer specials, and have great prices with so many beverages to choose from, they have corn hole outside and a great service! It’s a clean divey bar in a great location right by the park!

Tuesday Happy Hour? Thursday after Volleyball? Saturday for the game? Sunday for some patio drinking? Yes, you can pretty much count on my friends and I to be at Jed’s for all of these occasions (sometimes multiple times a week).
Jed’s is a sports bar where you will instantly feel like a regular, and quickly become one. This bar is diverse, leaning more toward the 20-​to-​30-​something young professional crowd who live nearby. With the option of two patios, lawn games, darts and trivia night, Jed’s has something for just about everyone. They even have a writer’s night on Fridays for those looking for some fresh, local music.
Their food is almost above average bar food, and luckily its not all fried. Though it could be better, I don’t mind the average-​ness of the menu. It features burgers, hot dogs, pizza, sandwiches, even salads. Their nachos are great to share and the (white) queso is far far better than the generic orange sauce you usually come across. They also serve brunch on the weekends, with bloody mary and mimosa specials.
On Tuesday’s they have 2−4 – 1’s all day and always have a decent selection of draft beers. If you’re feeling it, they also have bushwackers.
If I wasn’t a regular, I’d probably only give this place three stars. But I am one and I love this bar.

Jed’s is a perfect place to belly up to the bar, enjoy that classic Americana pub food, watch some games, and high five strangers when teams score. I’ve been here a handful times, and it’s worth noting that I’ve ONLY sat at the bar. So, some of the other folks complaints about service may be accurate, but I have never experienced it at the bar top.
The place has a cozy feel to it downstairs, and features your typical beer/​drink selection for pretty average prices. For the niche it serves, it’s perfect.

Gets worse every time. When it first opened it was a great spot. Food, service, atmosphere… All 4 stars. In terms of location, TVs, it’s still good… receivers for each TV so that’s nice. But… service is getting bad, actually terrible. They aren’t rude or anything, they just aren’t very good (slow). No hostess so you might be sitting and waiting for a server for a while. Don’t check up too often. Just not good service.
Beer selection is nice though. Burger choices are good too. Overall-​check it out, you be the judge, but won’t be coming back unless I’m forced to (or unless I just want to sit and watch games with friends and not care about service).

Jed’s is a large sports bar with 2 levels and some excellent outdoor seating! Besides that… it’s a sports bar, not a whole lot else to say :)
The food is typical bar food, chips and dip, wraps and burgers. There’s really not much to write about here; it’s nothing special and does the trick if you just need some food to snack on.
I really like that they offer a great happy hour special, 2 for 1 well drinks and beer M-​F, and I came here for happy hour after work last week and had a fun relaxing evening on the top patio. I’ve also been here on Sunday and they have a decent mimosa and bloody mary. The main floor has multiple TVs on the wall so you can watch all of the available games you are looking for.
Jed’s is A-​OK for what it is; a sports bar to watch a game and have some drinks with friends!
