You haven’t experienced cold until you’ve experienced Ice cold, or if you’ve gone to Alaska.

I felt like we had the VIP treatment Nashville style! We came early enough we beat the traffic and no lines, second opening day of ICE. The workers were great at the entrance offering to take our pic. We looked up and around at the twinkling lights and walked through the velvet rope lines that had no one there yet. It was like a private tour. We met a nice worker who gave us the Do’s and Don’ts with Southern humor. «Do take plenty of pictures, Do where the warm clothing, Don’t lick the ice.» She gave us the Wizard of Oz last advice«Behind the velvet curtain it’s 8 degrees. Have fun y’all!» Yes Ma’am! Parka Pick Up and we were fitted into them. Buttoned it up and stood in front of the green screen for a family pic. Then we entered the amazing Ice. The colors, the details of sleeping mice and the nursery rhyme made us all light up. This is 2 million pounds of ice. Then we got so lucky as one of the sculptors from Harbin China walked by us and then into an area called parts. This shows diagrams and examples of how they sculpt from beginning to end. He was working on a bear with a Santa hat. It was cute! The final room had a crystal clear Nativity set. It was amazing! Then there was the most beautiful Ice Angel bidding us farewell. Gorgeous! It was 28 degree’s outside and as we stepped back into the Parka room. The 28 degrees felt like summer. We hung out at the gift shop and chocolate & cupcake counter to thaw out our toes, nose and hands. Bravo Nashville Bravo! I came for Ice and loved every second of it. There is a few slides you can go down. I was too frozen and too happy to do so. My family went down it like 4 times because we had it all to ourselves. =) Outside there is an ice skating rink and snow tubing with music and snacks and treats to continue an awesome Country holiday
