Big Lots

Good bargains on close-​outs and overstocks. They have many name brands. Buy and stock up while they have them. Many yummy snacks and good for discounted school items also. See you there…

Big Lots is one of those hit-​or-​miss type of stores, but I actually love this location! They tend to have an amazing selection of organic dried goods (Kashi and Bob’s Red Mill for the win!) and lots of brand-​name electronics on the cheap. I just purchased a cell phone car charger and iPod ear buds for a total of $ 15! Right now, they have an amazing selection of items for outdoors and gardens, and offer everything from raised beds, planters, and gardening tools to outdoor lights and patio furniture, all of which are surprisingly high-​quality for the low prices.
I’m not a super big fan of shopping, but when I get a little retail bug, I love to come here and sate that consumerist desire without making a big dent in my wallet. :)

This one in particular has a large furniture area featuring Ashley Furniture and whatever other business is getting rid of stuff (I’ve seen Pier 1 and Broyhill here as well). Our kitchen table is actually from here and we have really enjoyed it. It’s very sturdy and well made and we even have seen it at a few local furniture stores for more than we paid. Which always makes you feel better.
