I got the cheese enchiladas and it was awesome. I had to scoop excess cheese with my fork so I wouldn’t have it dangling and it just melts in your mouth

Now hiring signs up. I can see why, full, lifeless service. We were greeted by a server who simply said“2?” and sat us. Asked if we wanted drinks. No one admin here our welcoming. The move very quickly which is great, but the only«table visits» were fly bys asking«todo bien?». No real interaction. No one pre bussed our table leaving no room to hold hands or arm wrestle. I saw who I think was a manager at a both with a customer and then who I assume was a corporate employee before allowing walking to the kitchen. He drilled through the dining room but I didn’t see any table touches.

Most of my Unilocal reviews are negative. I’m stingy with good reviews because it seems that every time I write one, I have a bad experience when I visit the place again. 90’s Ninfa’s has earned a good one. I refer to this place as 90’s Ninfa’s, because it features entrees long since obsolete at other locations, at 90’s prices. Where else can you get a «Patron» margarita for $ 7 and a «La Zona Rosa» Burrito for $ 9. I enjoy the food here even more the the original Navigation location. I eat at 90’s Ninfa’s almost exclusively, when work brings me to Missouri City at lunch time. I sit at the bar, unless I bring my wife, son or boss. There, I can watch CNN and not grow bored with TV sports that leave me uninformed. I’ve had no issues with the service and the day bartender has memorized the items I tend to order. It wouldn’t surprise me if he brought me a margarita and La Zona Rosa before even greeting me. I’ve only had one«off» day with the food freshness in the countless times I’ve eaten here. It is clearly the best value I’ve had at any restaurant for the money, with the exception of the scores of places I eat at during happy hour. Yes, this is a Ninfa’s I’m talking about.

Lunch on a Sunday and the place was practically dead. Maybe four other tables in the restaurant. Good news is, the food is your standard Mexican fare and their green sauce is a solid 9/10.So some here if you dont want a wait. Bad news is, they must bleach the place every night and it smells a little like a bathroom.

My husband and I decided to try this out. The nachos and drinks were good but that was about it. My husband had the enchiladas and they were lacking flavor! I have tacos and the meat was over cooked. The grand gold margaritas were probably the best thing we had unfortunately. Our server was very nice despite the food.

Service was fast, friendly and accurate. Had the Little Eddie(soft tacos, rice and refried beans). Rice and beans were terrific and the tacos were good.

This place is meh, the food was ok nothing special. Now that i have a new born, when I go out to eat, I’m hoping most restaurants by now have the proper set up for a car seat. IE a carrier or a booth or something. They offered me an upside down high chair to sit the car seat on. Despite all the signs and stickers on the high chair saying dont do that. Now, I asked to be moved to a booth, but really… Is it to much to ask to have the proper slings or seating to accommodate this? Now the service was also awful. So bad service, meh food, and seating that doesnt work with a newborn in a car seat. I’d steer far away if you have a baby that will be in a car seat since they only have two booths.

I had lunch there today around 12:45 pm. The food was disappointing. I had the fajita’s, beef and chicken with rice and refried beans. On the side were flour tortillas and the trio of guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo. The wait staff was adequate although laundry day has to be later in the week. The rice was dry, it was the same texture of rice removed from the fridge and heated in a skillet. The beef had an odd taste reminding me of liver. The chicken was ok. Over all the food was somewhat bland. Once I realized this was below expectations I realized that most of the food, if any was not fresh. After some thought we sat down and 5 to 6 minutes after our order, the food was out. Now at McDonalds that is expected, but the cooktime on the chicken alone is 5 to 6 minutes if fresh, then there is plating, and service delivery. Not going back to this location ever. Who knows what’s happening behind closed doors.

The food is good, as are most Ninfa’s. The restaurant is clean and the prices are good. The service is not. I stopped in for a late lunch at about 2. By myself, which is probably where I went wrong. They probably figured I wouldn’t tip well on a single meal. The server rarely checked on me and when he did, I had to ask for things that blatantly needed a refill(drink, chips — they’re gone. More maybe??) I felt like I was wasting his time, like he had more important things to do. I was even more annoyed when another woman came in who was obviously a regular and ate by herself. He was a lot nicer to her and more attentive. I won’t be back. Sorry not sorry.

This is a spit that we as a family can always agree on We love the chicken fajitas, the hot carrots, queso and the margaritas. So when ever we can’t decide where we want to go Ninfa’s is out go to. If you are in the Missouri City/Sugar Land area you should definitely try the spot out and make sure you ask if Sergio is working and sit in his section.

It has taken me a while to get to posting this review just because I loved the Ninfa’s we used to go to in downtown Houston. We have been to this location three times. Twice the service was poor and the food inconsistent(One person’s was perfect and another had food that was cold when it came out). There was also the time in the middle where we came it as a family and waited for a long while and eventually left.

Suggested by a co-worker, we stopped here for dinner on a whim. The only booth available was in the bar, so possibly our service suffered as a result. I ordered the Fajitas y Rellenos($ 10.99) and a side of queso with ground beef. The queso was decent, but it came lacking the ground beef. It comes, oddly, served with flour tortilla chips. They are not very good. Stick to the regular chips. The relleno was very good. It was large-ish and stuffed with a moderate amount of cheese. I also had to ask for my tortillas for the fajitas. The onions were nicely caramelized, but the fajita beef seemed to lack flavor. Generic rice accompanied the meal. I will compliment them on the Charro beans, though. Though I would prefer the seasoning of Borracho Beans, these were light and brothy. Sadly for Nifa’s, no one goes for the beans. My dinner companion ordered the beef fajitas. I will also compliment the portion size. It is a very substantial serving. I expect slower service in the bar, and that is what we received. It seemed the only person working the entire bar was the bartender(for tables and bar patrons alike). Sadly, he lacked a personality(completely) and barely stopped walking when coming by our table. On a positive note, they have a uniquely creative menu that includes Carnitas, many fish & shrimp offerings, and some different combos. I tend not to like it when the restaurant titles all their menu items in Spanish. I find it a bit too schticky. It’s one thing in a Mom-and-Pop restaurant. In a chain… not so much. Anyway, the food was fine, but it was nothing special. I guess the take away is that they are simply a cookie-cutter Tex Mex chain.

My fiancé recommended this place one night, he swore it was pretty good. I wasn’t too impressed. The rice tasted dry and almost like it came out of a freezer. I wanted just a plain fresh taco since I wasn’t very hungry. The taco I ordered was filled with salsa chicken, so it was kind of soggy. Salsa chicken is more something you would put in enchiladas not a taco… but okay, lesson learned. I thought guac was supposed to come with my taco, there was none. For $ 13 you’d think it would. If you’re like me, and 1 restaurant meal usually means 2 meals, some leftovers to reheat for lunch the next day, the tacos don’t make for good leftovers because of all the sour cream and stuff they add in. My fiancé said he likes to come here because the people are nice, which is rare at some places in Missouri city and sugar land, we have come to find out… so for that, I thank them :)

This is my first time eating here and I will be back for more! The food was delicious and it came out within minutes! The staff was great! They were very friendly and kept checking in on us if we needed anything else. I will recommend this restaurant to all of my friends!

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant! We moved to Cypress but I make a trip regularly to enjoy the fajitas. No one compares. Plus the Mama’s La Perfecta Margarita is second to none. Thank you guys for consistently provided good food and good drinks.

Nothing impressive, your everyday Tex Mex restaurant with all the regular choices. Chile con queso — I usually love chile con queso, but the ones served here are Way too salty! 2 stars for that. Carnitas — decent fajitas with plenty of meat Quesadillas — decent, got the chihuahua one for more veggies Fajita Salad — decent 3 star salad, the bowl is too much but expected Overall — nothing too impressive, only came here tonight because hubby has never been to a Ninfa’s before

Number one complaint: horrible service! Our waiter took forever with everything, half the time we had some guy who didn’t speak English trying to help us when he wasn’t around, our waiter was rude, and he didn’t get our order correct. The food was okay. My friend and boyfriend liked their food all right, and mine was definitely edible. My main complaints with the food were that my beef fajitas were overcooked, and that my tamale was dry and had hardly had any filling(but it is very rare to find a restaurant that has good tamales). Overall, I don’t see why so many people like this place.

My family used to go to Ninfa’s every once in a while because it wasn’t too far from our home. And, back in the day, I used to know quite a few of the people working here because they attended my high school. Let’s get the bad out of the way, shall we? The tamales are gross. They are prepared in a way that I do not like and I have never figured out what it is about the preparation that I detest so much. I’ve had tamales like this in a few other restaurants. Some people really enjoy this style, but I do not. I wish I could accurately describe what it is I do not like, but, unfortunately, I cannot. The Caldo Xochitl soup? That is fantastic. It’s my go-to meal and I don’t order anything else. It’s a large portion and it is very filling. Sometimes, I get a craving for that soup, but, alas, I live in Austin.(Now I’ll just have to teach myself how to make it.) Not the best food, but it’s not terrible. I really can’t speak highly enough of that soup.
