Milagro

I wanted to love this place, I really did! I just moved to the area from Southern California and had to leave my stylist of 10 years but I had high hopes that Milagro was my new salon. No such luck. My cut was so choppy that it looked like I cut it myself. They used a round brush and curled it while blow drying so I didn’t notice it until after I dried it myself a few days later. Over the next three weeks, I called Milagro six times and left messages for the stylist to call me back so I could get it fixed. Eventually I was able to speak with a front desk manager and I explained that I just needed a 10 minute visit to get the layers cleaned up. I requested first thing Saturday morning or any weekday after 5:30pm (I work full time and have two small babies and my free time is almost nonexistent). She called back and said he could only offer 4pm. Keep in mind this was after my SIXTH call to the salon.
… I spent $ 200 on my hair, and this is the kind of service I get in return? Yikes.
IT GETS BETTER! I went home for the holidays and saw my old stylist at both Thanksgiving and Christmas. It took her both visits to fix the visible stripes of color and «bleeders» in the back of my hair. I wasn’t aware of the color problems since I can’t see back there. She was floored that an Aveda salon did such an awful job. I am too.

Great salon! I used to drive 45 minutes from Richmond to have Jessi cut my hair. I always had long hair but I came to her when I wanted to go short and I LOVED it. She is extremely talented and also gives really good shoulder massages. Everything about her hands are awesome. I’m very sensitive and picky with my hair (I own it, not proud of it) due to bad childhood haircuts and Jessi is who I go to anytime I want to do a change to my look.

I love coming here. The atmosphere is so relaxing. Everyone that works here are so friendly and attentive. I get my hair done by Adrian and he always does a wonderful job. I am never rushed. He listens to exactly what I want and is truthful on whether or not something will look good on me or not. This is my go to place for my hair. It’s pricey but what great salon isn’t!!!

Tiffany is awesome! I’m a past long-​term client that made the mistake of trying somewhere else for a while. To say the least, Tiffany saved me today from a horrible color job 2 days ago. She is phenomenal, along with the rest of the staff. The owner, Mark, even remembered me AND my daughter after a 2.5 year absence. Definitely my go to salon for both me and my daughter going forward.

I am reviewing because all the five star reviews made me feel confident about going here firstly and putting my trust in Elisa secondly. So I think another perspective is in line. I asked for Ombré, she didn’t think that was right for me, I explained that I would trust her but what i Definitely did not want was a «frosted» or all over lightened look, well that is exactly what she gave me. I looked like I was «going gold» (rather than going silver). When i left, I was really disappointed. The stylist knew this but she never called me to follow up. She was too busy to fix it that day, she had already started with another client while she waited for my color to lift. Which is another great reason to give this salon one star; the hairstylists seemed overworked, it was obvious, this is not a high quality salon, it is is fast and furious on saturdays; not relaxing at all.

I’ve gotten several cuts here and all have been excellent. I have most recently been getting cut and colored by Adrian (hope I’m spelling that right) and I am so happy. He is amazing! The cuts and color I’ve gotten from him are honestly better than any I’ve gotten in SF or LA. LOVE! Perfect layers, lovely chocolate brown (and before that, ombré balayage). He is quite frankly, magic. I feel lucky that Milagro and Adrian are 5 minutes from my house!
