Unreliable, unprofessional, and unorganized.
I’m sure the cakes are beautiful but good luck getting her to make one for you. Incredibly difficult to get a hold of. Repeatedly cancelled our appointments at the last minute and ONLY after we would reach out to confirm.
Then told us she couldn’t give us a tasting because no one else made an order of the flavors we requested that we could sample from. I have NEVER heard of that before and mind you, the flavors we requested were not out of the ordinary but what was listed as available on the website.
At last, on the week of what would be our third cancelled appointment, she tells us that she can’t take on our wedding because it’s too far in advance (8 months). Waste of our time.

I submitted an email to this bakery exactly one week ago asking for information to order a cake for a 1^st birthday party. As of today, I hadn’t even received an acknowledgement of the email being received. After several phones calls went unanswered during business hours, I finally was able to speak with the owner today and heard no sign of the professional and enthusiastic service mentioned on some of these reviews. Such a disappointment because the photos of her work are great. But, customer service trumps all. Chanda acknowledge seeing my email, gave no apology for not having responded, and gave an unenthusiastic promise to have someone respond before the end of the week. Uhh… it’s Thursday. I even reached out on Facebook and sent a private message asking for someone to contact me and… crickets. The cakes may be sweet — communication and customer service are not. I’ll be reaching out to some other bakeries in the area.

Writing this update 24 hours after the original review. Everyone LOVED the cake. One layer was chocolate and one was vanilla, FYI.
The comments were all about how moist it was, tasty and overall delicious. I def ordered too large a cake– it goes far. Order down with respect to amount.
The only mistake I made was not grabbing business cards for The Baking Girl! Everyone wanted her info!

I found the Baking Girl on Unilocal while hunting for a cake for a very special milestone birthday party for 45 people. I made an appointment to meet with the owner Chanda, I had downloaded some rough ideas from the Internet. Chanda was lovely, enthusiastic and professional. She recommended her Red Velvet cake. I paid and that was that. Our beautiful, creative, and delicious cake was delivered to our venue, and made an incredible evening even more special!

The Baking Girl made my 40^th Birthday cake and it was AMAZING!!! I was late in ordering and needed it in just a few days — but they made it happen! My cake served at least 50 people and had a fake topper so the cake would have more impact!
I was so happy with the details put into the cake and the taste was soooooo delicious!!! I had the red velvet & the chocolate.
I’m looking forward to ordering again for my daughter’s graduation!

Thebakinggirl, where do I start! I called her Thursday for a cake for my boyfriends birthday, so sweet and professional over the phone! His a huge lakers fan, so I wanted the cake to be sport and laker related! She google some ideas and decided on a lakers hat!!! Boy was I pleased when I picked it up it was soooo beautiful… But of course my opinion didn’t matter! So at dinner, I had to sneak the cake in. When it came out!!! Boy my boyfriend was soooo pleased!!! And happy! At 31 years old he said its the best cake he ever had in his life! Everyone around our table was staring and saying how nice it is. Strangers taking pictures! The cake itself was a walking billboard for the banking girl! It was also delicious and moist!!! I got red velvet because it’s his favorite! If I could give it ten stars I would!!! Thank you!!! Baking girl. We will definitely meet again! Don’t think twice people if you want the best call the baking girl!!!

I came here for some mini cupcakes for my birthday…
They have amazing unique flavores and amazing frostings.
I told her exactly what I wanted 20 mini cake 10 tiramisu and 10 dulce de leche with little pink hearts on top… Total was$ 40 very reasonable for these cakes
And all my guests loved them!!!

I had the pleasure of meeting and tasting a few of The Baking Girls delicious cupcakes at this weekend’s Miami Beach International Bridal Week. I’m a big cupcake lover, and I fell in love with each of their tasty flavors. The cakes they had on display were beautiful too. I look forward to their new shop opening conviniently close to my home. :) These girls are really talented and a pleasure to talk to. I highly recommend their yummy treats!
