Bad food. High prices. Been there twice. Don’t plan on going back.

I’ve only had the taco salads here, and I liked it. This place is fairly authentic indeed, and it’s fast and quick. I can do without the chips, however. They aren’t the best. Eerrhh…

Do not be fooled by their vegetarian-friendly menu — they have one grill, and I have gotten bits of steak in my vegetarian burritos on more than one occasion(and excuses or denial instead of apologies). On the flip-side, the chips and salsa are complimentary, and it is quite entertaining to watch the head guy yell at his women. If you’re looking for a better place, and are willing to brave EPA, I would suggest Three Brothers Taqueria on University Ave. as cheaper and higher-quality.

I approve! The carne asade burritos are good. I wanted to try the horchata but it was only a little left… so that might be a good sign!

This is a hole in the wall taqueria. And on a par with most«hole in the wall» retaurants, it’s really good! They have pupusas(El Salvadorean food) that they hand make per order, so if you want some(at $ 2 each, it’s a steal!) then just be prepared to wait a little longer for your food. I like the cheese and chicharon(pork) pupusas. They also have basic Mexican fare, but a bit tastier than what I’m used to… I love their chicken enchiladas… the sauce is tangier than any place else I’ve been and the beans and rice are really good, too. Not heavy, so I doubt they use lard, and they don’t make me feel all logey afterwards. $ 7 for the plate, which is a little high, but it’s good and I’m not wasting a bunch of food, so it balances out. For big eaters, get some chips and salsa(on the house) or a couple pupusas to fill you up. Their pineapple horchatas are really good! $ 1.50 for a large. Yum! If you’re in the neighborhood, you should give them a try. They keep the place clean, and the service is friendly. Their bathrooms are clean, too!(Always a good indication of how they keep their kitchens…) All in all, this is a great little place to get your Mexican/El Salvadorean food craving fixed!
