If this is the place next to the Mexican supermarket, nowhere did I see the name Taqueria Guadalajara. So I think they should delete their previous name on Unilocal or at least say it changed names because my friend and I walked around for a bit before we realized this was the same place as Taqueria Guadalajara. There was no indication that this was the place other than there being no other taquerias around the area indicated by google maps on Unilocal.Ordered a chicken taco and chicken burrito. Both combined was around 10 dollars. Taco was pretty small and completely soggy. Fell apart at first bite. Burrito didn’t have great flavor. I don’t think I finished half of it. Disappointed. Cheap food but not real great quality

Best Taco Spot In The Area For a CHICKEN Burrito No Beans With The Hot Sauce On The Side. The Lettuce They Put In It Make It Different From Other Spots. Sopes Is Bomb Too.

This place is disgusting. Flavorless meat! The salsa is bland also. Not a fan of this place And do not see how people can eat here.

The other day I was just beat from morning traffic on the dumbarton bridge and I felt like I ought to treat myself to mexican food for breakfast. It’s really one of the only things that can reliably cheer me up no matter the issue. I had some chorizo and eggs here and sadly it was a little too salty, even for chorizo. But the floor on chorizo and eggs is quite high so it was still pretty tasty. I’ll come back and try the chicken they advertise so loudly outside.

I never want to eat at any other taco place than this one. If you want a GOOD Mexican food, this place is it. They speak Spanish primarily, so definitely bring someone who’s fluent, or just learn the language because it’s all so worth it. They also have a mini market next door and they sell bottled coke for $ 1.75. Can you believe that?! In San Mateo, it’s $ 2.50 a bottle… I don’t think I’ll ever go to a taqueria or another Mexican joint other than this one. I’ve been craving it since I’ve been here, which was about 4 days ago. Definitely come to this place and order carne asada tacos with the red sauce on top. I added cheese, but that’s optional. They also give you a fresh cucumber, pickled jalapeño, and a pickled carrot. THEPICKLEDCARROTISAMAZING omfg eat it please my mouth is watering ok back to eating these tacos.

Been coming here for over 15 years. Sad to say but Wth happened??? Chicken tortas USED to come on a french sandwich roll. Now it’s the SMALLER roll from the Mexican bakery next door so it’s smaller by a 1⁄3rd the size. The chicken has been reduced by half of what we used to get and the worst part? THEPRICEHASDOUBLED! $ 6 for half the sandwich??? I get you raised prices because of Facebook but damn. You were built from locals NOT Fb.

Not bad cheap burritos here. Pretty filling and no lines when i went during lunch. Burritos were wrapped tight so all the ingredients dont fall out when u take a big ass bite

I live several blocks away from this place, but I have never stopped– until today. I used to salivate as I drove by and would smell the chicken cooking on the large Pitt. I don’t think they do that anymore. I never see or smell it. Despite that fact, I chose to stop today. I saw that their is plenty of parking available. I went inside and ordered 3 tacos; chicken, Al pastor, and carne asada. They all were amazing. It was $ 2/taco, and it was worth every penny. I will be going back.

I’ve worked in the Menlo Park area near this place for over 2 years. I pick up the carne asada super burrito every time and it never disappoints. If I want something smaller I go for the chicken torta, but their burritos are always good, and you get them FAST. There are a lot of options in this area for Mexican food but I prefer this hole in the wall if I need a burrito fix.

Tiny little hole in the wall that you’d drive by 100 times and never stop at. Until you stop once, and have a breakfast burrito. I was full for 12 hours. And the ladies working there were super sweet. And I got change for me ten-spot. Score, score, and score!

The quesadilla here was an abject failure. The bottom of my plate was full of grease which turned the quesadilla into a disgusting slop of salsa, sour cream and reheated chorizo. Most of the vegetables and sauces dribbled out of the tortilla as I tried to handle this mess. My fingers were so drenched in grease it was as if I had just finished changing the oil in my car. I wiped off my fingers and darted out of there disheartened and disgusted by the utter lack of pride and indifference to the quality of one’s own work exhibited by the lady who slapped together this wretched grease bomb. This was the work of someone who has simply given up and whose general attitude might as well be «I don’t care anymore what someone might think of my cooking, screw ‘em.» I thought I had happened upon a «hidden neighborhood gem» but what was I thinking. Back to Los Charros.

5 stars. Super nice people. $ 6 for a fantastic chilaquiles verdes plate. Super crispy fried corn tortilla strips with eggs and green salsa was some of the best I’ve ever had. Skip the normal Mexican dishes here and go straight to Mexican breakfast heaven.

Took a chance with the carne asada burrito and was blown away. One of the best burritos I’ve had. Fresh ingredients, juicy, full of flavor and something to return back for! What made this burrito amazing was its tenderized meat. Don’t know how everything else is on the matter but regardless… If I ever am around the area again, I will definitely be back! 4 stars for deliciousness and 1 star taken away just cause I didn’t have anything else but the burrito so I cannot rate this place on ther items.

Pollo Al Carbon stole $ 8.67 from my pocket. I was excited to get a chicken plate after seeing the HUGE signage in front. The one that says«BBQCHICKEN.» Half chicken with beans and rice, lettuce, tomato and tortilla. Rice was more like rice pudding, Uncle Ben’s makes better rice. Refried beans were soupy. The chicken came out of the oven wrapped in foil. I was thinking why is the chicken in the oven and why is it wrapped in foil. She took it out of the foil and It looked like it fell off the grill and was run over by a truck. I thought it was gonna taste better than it looks, ha wishful thinking. It tasted even worse than it looked. The smell was off the flavor was off. I took one bite of each item and tossed it in the trash. This place ruined my day. By the way there was a roach crawling on the register. Will I go back? My first 1 star review is well deserved for this place. Hell Naw.

Get the pollo asado burrito. SO good. A super burrito and drink will set you back less than $ 10 and you’ll be very full. They use a green garlicky sauce that I haven’t had before but it adds that je né sais quo. I’m a weirdo so I like that they put lettuce in their burrito too. My son likes their carne asada. Service is fast, prices affordable and food is yummy. The neighborhood is a little sketch at night but the food is worth it.

Wanted to go to Back a yard but they were closed until the start of 2012! Saw this place so we decided to try it. Everyone else got the super burritos… they didn’t seem as happy as me with my tacos! I ordered the lengua(tongue) which was really good. Tender but not too soft like many other places I’ve tried. The intestine taco which was really delicious. It was a little charred but not bitter. Last but not least a carne asada. can’t go wrong! Liked how they provided radishes and pickled carrots. Wish there was a salsa bar but can’t ask for much, it’s a little hole in the wall. Especially liked how I could see the lady cooking. Will return for tacos!

AKA Mi Tierra Linda Taqueria and Taqueria Guadalajara, this is one of the best chicken burritos I have ever had… and I have had many. FIVESTARS for the Chicken Super Burrito. All of their beef products(Asada, Cabeza, Barbacoa and Lengua) are too salty for my taste… The pork(Pastor, Chile Verde and Carnitas) is OK… But the chicken is AMAZING!!!

I left largely disappointed with my meal here. I had intended to go to Back-A-Yard but didn’t realize it was closed on Saturdays. I looked on my Unilocal app and this well, albeit sparsely, reviewed place came up next door. The set-up is very basic and all the standards are available: burritos, tacos, and platillos. A bright menu lists all the options and prices in English. I probably should have stuck with the cheaper fare(tacos $ 1.50, super burrito $ 5), but decided to give the platillo a try. I ordered the carnitas platillo for $ 8. It came with rice, refried beans, a variety of pickled vegetables, and some fresh cucumbers and tomatoes. It also came with 6 flour tortillas. It looked like a lot of food and a great deal. But upon tasting the food, I really wish that Back-A-Yard had been open or that I had stuck with my favorite, Rincon Sabroso. The tortillas, while warm, were extremely thin and falling apart. The refried beans, while topped in cheese, was bland tasting. The carnitas, while slightly oily and consisting of dry pieces, was the tastiest item, but were not as pulled apart or shredded as I’ve had at other places. Everything was a tad too warm(it was a to-go order) and didn’t have that ultra-fresh quality. Overall, I thought it was a fairly bland plate. If I’m going to eat something unhealthy like carnitas, I want a bit more flavor, tenderness, and spice. I believe Pollo al Carbon is cash only. The owners spoke English fine though many patrons order in Spanish.

Little place off 101 to go meet another Unilocaler! It’s a small place that has outdoor seating with tons of pictures on the wall of tamales, enchiladas, carnitas, quesadillas, burritos and soup! They had tons of meat choices of: chicken, beef, brains(EWW I know and no I did not try), tripe, pork, etc. I orderd a 2 chicken tackos and a carnita and it came with tons of meat, onions, cilantro and some sauce. I also ordered a mango fruit drink and it was only $ 6.00! WOW super cheap for lunch. I liked my chicken better than the pork one. Everything tasted really good and service was super quick. We lucked out since it was like only 77 there versus over 90 in San Jose so we could actually sit outside and not melt. Great tacos for a little hole in the wall!

Brain taco anyone? Yup, that was on the menu including tripe soup(menudo). This is a great hole-in-the-wall eatery. When you walk into this place, the ordering counter is to your left and two tables are to your right. The menu is hung above the ordering counter. I tried to order my favorite — Canista(Roasted Pork) Burrito. Unfortunately, they were out of Canista. I settled for Pastor(sp??) Burrito. I think Pastor is also pork. Regardless, the burrito was excellent, the Pastor really flavorful. I also had the lime soda(yum). The large Pastor burrito was only $ 5(another attribute of a hole-in-the-wall.
