Our reservation was for 7pm. We just all got our meals at 9:24pm and three of the steaks had to be returned and one of the chickens was so dry it was returned. So the score is 12 meals with four that were not worth eating so not a great start. One steak was over salted and the other about half of it was edible and he did not want to send his back as well. I now understand why it is so slow here definitely not worth a return trip when the Chart House is so close and has far superior service, food, atmosphere, and better pricing.

Overall pretty good although we went in shortly after opening and more or less had the place to ourselves. I ordered the 5-alarm burger which had zero actual alarms. It was tasty but in reality, it was just a burger and fries — I can’t confirm it had any jalapeños or anything spicy on it. My wife ordered the club sandwich which was also good but not amazing. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer, and guess what: nothing particularly special. All in all, certainly not bad but also not special and certainly not a good value for the prices in my opinion.

We ate here for NYE2015 at 6pm for 4 ppl; my mom, dad, and niece. At arrival the restaurant was almost empty still(it was only 5:45pm) but the host stand was backed up and very confused. One guy raised his voice to all of us standing there and said who’s next? We said we were then he told us to hold on because the other girl had the reservation list. We were seated in a very small area behind the kitchen open to the kitchen at a high cocktail table. It was like a sauna. We asked to be moved and the hostess was very curt and literally threw her hands up and said they had their seating tables all previously assigned and if we were moved, we would«mess everyone else up». Apparently they were all much more important than we were. And then she walked away. It was so hot I pretty much lost my appetite but ordered anyway. We also asked our server about the seating and he said there was nothing he could do and apologized. Our server was nice enough and fairly attentive. At least he wasn’t rude like the hostess. They had a set NYE menu, which we were told was put together rather quickly at the last minute to ease the kitchen burden. Understandable since we were watching the kitchen & there were only 2 people in there. We asked because the menu was a little confusing & salads were grouped under appetizers among a few other oddities. House salad came with the meals. There was no option for different dressing, but the house dressing was really delicious. My dad ordered the lobsters bisque, mom ordered the seared Caesar salad, & my niece ordered the Caprese salad. They all said they were delicious. For the main course I ordered the Mahi & everyone else ordered the 8oz filet. The steaks were cooked perfectly and I had a bite of my moms. It was really delicious and seasoned really well. The Mahi was also really good. It was crusted in Parmesan on top of mashed potatoes. We skipped dessert. Throughout dinner watching people running around, we got the feeling like the front management was in a total panic as opposed to watching the kitchen, they seemed to be calm and have it together. We also felt like we were the red headed step children as people passed us to go into the real dining area and stared at us all huddled at the cocktail table in the sauna. The bill was $ 200. After the bill was paid, my dad told the waiter how unhappy we were with the seating again. He immediately told the owner, who happened to be one of the two chefs in the kitchen. The owner immediately came out and apologized. Unfortunately I think it was too little too late. We addressed out displeasure at the beginning of the meal and we were ignored. It seemed like it was just easier to say sorry at the end than it was to adjust their seating at the beginning. And to add insult to injury as we walked out we could see the rest of the restaurant remained at least ½ empty with plenty of tables for 4 open. I really think the owner needs to get out of the kitchen and talk to the front of the house a little bit more to make sure the service is as good as the food. For the price they should be providing a complete dining experience, not just good food. As of right now, we have no intention of returning.

Says it opens at 11:00 showed up and it says 4:00 at the door. At 4 i was told they had no chef and it would be another 15 minutes so it gets a 1 star nope.

They really tried to overcharge customers. The terrible things are they don’t tell you the price on front and keep trying to cheat people. We had a birthday luncheon there today. Without inform us the price. They charged $ 15 for a glass of wine, $ 15 for a slide desert cake(not even Delicious, it is too dry) $ 5 for a scoop of ice cream. The birthday girl’s lunch meal was $ 60. We sure not go back again. Don’t mention we waited for 40 minutes and never refill the ice tea, Burger is too grease, Mahi wrap has too much sauce… CANNOT believe the way they do business in our nice small town. This was on part with what I expect at this price point. I had the lobster roll special appetizer and the truffle filet cooked medium rare. The steak was on temp, we’ll seasoned, and the truffle butter was great. The mushroom risotto upon which the steak sat was likewise properly cooked and seasoned. The red pepper butter that they give you with the house bread was also an unexpected treat. Service was fast and friendly and overall I had a very good experience. I’ll come back the next time I visit Melbourne.

They robbed and raped me, 120 dollars was the bill and all my friend and I only had a steak and salmon. LONGWAIT40+ minutes when we were the only ones in there. And my steak ended up being over cooked when I asked for it bloody. also the mashed potatoes sucked. never going back and will tell the world not to go there! would rate a zero if I could.

Great service and the steak was fantastic. We had the lobster mac and cheese and it was good to split with large pieces of lobster.

TL;DR: Far too expensive for what you actually get, incomplete, improperly prepared meals, $ 90 bill(without drinks or desert). My g/f ordered one of the specials, a cheese and garlic topped steak with mash potatoes and asparagus. I ordered a 12 oz «Firehouse cut» filet mignon. We both asked for medium. — PRO — * Friendly and attentive wait staff * My beef was cooked perfectly medium * Meat was tender, without excess fat, and flavorful — CON — * Bad communication on the specials. If they’re out, take them off. * My beef came alone. No vegetable, no starch. Just a piece of meat on a plate. Perhaps it mentions that on the menu, but I didn’t see it, and the server didn’t point it out or ask me if I wanted a side. * Girlfriend’s asparagus was over cooked, completely unseasoned, and the stalks weren’t peeled so they were hard. Although part of the«special», they were inedible. * Although my beef was a properly cooked medium, g/f’s was medium-well. They were the same size and cut of steak, delivered at the same time, but were not cooked consistently. * There were no options for different types of dressing with the salad, and the salad came with the dressing already on it, and far too much of it. * It was dark, and somewhat loud, especially considering it was nearly empty Damage? $ 90 before tip. For two steaks(one improperly cooked), some burned, badly prepared asparagus, a ball of mashed potato, and some iceburg lettuce smothered in dressing that we didn’t ask for. It gets two stars just because the meat itself was actually pretty tasty, but it is way overpriced. The prices are fine-dining, but the food isn’t there and the ambience should be lowering the price.

Where do I start. This restaurant came highly recommended from several people So I call from the number on Unilocal Tuesday for reservations for 6 people for valentines. I’m told they are booked. One minute later they call back and said they had an opening when did I want the res for so I said 6. Cool. We get there at 6 and it’s not packed. No biggie. We sit down and they have a special valentines menu. Okay that’s fine then the price is $ 75 per person. Yikes. We knew that it was a fairly high priced, $$$ on Unilocal so we thought okay it includes soup appetizer entrée and dessert so okay. We order. Now the fun begins. Soup for 4 come out. The other 25min later. Cold. Not supposed to be but let it go. Appetizer 4 come out the other 2 several min later. Had shrimp cocktail. 4 had 4 med(supposed to be jumbo) shrimp the other were 5 jumbo shrimp. Hmmm oh well. Then the entrees(only 2) came. Cold and wrong. They were taken back. Others showed up with still 1 missing. Steamed veggies cold beef medallions cold. Lobster cold crab legs cold. Went to find a manager. He shows up in a tshirt and basically said he was sorry but what did we want from him? Said we thought he should know. He said he would comp our meal. We said good and left. Oh yea we were sat by the back door and froze our butts off from the waiters going out to catch smoke breaks. Anyway we walked across the street and got an awesome meal at a sportsbar! Never going there again.

It was good food but our steaks weren’t cooked to the temperature we ordered them. The rare was more like a medium so that was a little disappointing. Overall, the food was good and I enjoyed it but for the price, it didn’t blow my mind. Probably won’t be back just because of how pricey it is.

Absolutely spectacular dinner. My husband and I both ordered from the specials menu. I had the rack of lamb and he had the NY strip steak with garlic. Perfectly cooked, perfectly presented and the wonderful guitarist playing music that provided us with great conversation the entire evening. Awesome night and greatest meal out in quite awhile!

The new scam in restaurant business is opening a steakhouse and serving Sizzler quality steaks, and charging Premium steakhouse prices. Our visit was on July 4th, we started with Chocolate Martinis and Portobello Mushroom stuffed with crab. You know how crab meat smells when is has been stored one day too long? Well that is how our starter plate tasted and smelled, not very appetizing. The Martini’s were not bad, but by no means worthy of a $$$ steakhouse. Our filets were lukewarm though they were ordered at medium temperature. The side dishes were awful, the creamed spinach was tasteless, potatoes Au gratin were nothing but sliced potatoes with a mystery white sauce and sprinkle of cheese. Sautéed mushrooms were in a tart wine sauce, and tasted awful. Finally came the coupe de graće which ended this miserable dining experience, the«Chocolate Lava cake». Ordinarily when this desert is done properly it is a delight, moist spongy chocolate cake with a warm liquified chocolate center. At Firehouse Restaurant however you get a solid, cold lump of chocolate looking brown muck which was so bad my. 9 year old refused to eat it. Avoid this joke of a restaurant, there has to be a better way to blow $ 100.00PP tab.

We stopped in late on a Sat night while bar-hopping. They were blasting decent music from the sidewalk and it seemed pretty crowded when we first came in. But once inside, it only appears crowded because of how small it is. Prices are steep considering what is within walking distance for the same items. There’s a connected restaurant, but this was closed… just the bar was open at the time.

Great service! Nice menu for martinis, mixed drinks, and wine. As with any better dining, the prices and menu were ala carte, but thats to be expected. I had the wild mushroom soup(on the dujour menu), and it was not great. I had to add salt, and in a place this nice thats not good. The beer mussels were fair. For main entrees my husband got the chicken and it was tender and well cooked with good flavor. My bone in ribeye was cooked perfectly as I ordered, and I was pleased with the portion size and topping options. The salads that came with our dinner were nice, good homemade dressing. Overall for the price it did not wow, but i cant say enough about the service. Also, call ahead for a table with a view. Bathroom also not very nice.

We have always wanted to try Firehouse and wow, we were not disappointed. We had a rather large party with 4 adults, 3 children and 1 infant… a task for any restaurant but they handled it perfect. The steaks and appetizers were perfect. I am not going to go into what everyone got but I got a petite filet with the dynamite topping and wow… what a flavor. Even without the topping the steak was amazing. Additionally a lobster tail(cooked perfect) and I have the Scallops appetizer. So delicious and I think I may have a new favorite restaurant in the Melbourne area. No, jokes… just a review today!

The food was good! I had a the firehouse chicken and my girlfriend had a steak and we were both very happy with the food, preparation and presentation. So kudos for the food. Also, the bar drinks were good too. The service was not-so-hot. We were there on Valentines day, and our server, a little short guy who was running in and out of our room like a tornado was VERY«interesting.» When he spoke, he spoke so fast, and in incoherent sentences and then would just walk away mid sentence. We were there for approximately 90 minutes and our drinks were refilled once. Looking around at the other tables he was serving, you could tell that they weren’t happy either. The only other thing is the entrance: it’s a little weird that you have to go through the bar that has all the neon signs outside to get to the nice restaurant that’s on the inside, but it is what it is, there’s not too much that can be done there. So if you ever go, just know that the entrance is on the north-facing side of the building.

I can’t believe anyone actually gave this place more than 1 star. Remember reviews are all based on the quality of food the people reviewing are use to. Since a majority of the crap in Melboure/Orlando are fast food and restaurant chains, take most reviews in this area with a grain of salt. That said, here is the real story. Warning: Keep in mind while reading this, I am basing my experience off of the price paid. Prices at this restaurant around 30 – 40 a plate for their steaks and your meal if done right will be well over $ 100 I made a reservation for our wedding anniversary. Entered the front of the restaurant to find no hostess in site and finally was greeted after 3 minutes by the bar-tender.(Minus 1 star). Next we were taken through the bar to the actual tables which were all the way on the other side of the restaurant.(Fail for ambiance). Finally seated to begin the meal, which both of our menus were not identical.(Fail 3) On to the food. We ordered the carpaccio. The carpaccio was total garbage. It was chucks of raw beef as thick as stew meat and full of fat. I have never seen anything like this in my life, oh and it was luke warm(barf). So clearly the chef has no idea how to make carpaccio, which i told him later, that it is supposed to be frozen and sliced paper thin. Either way:(Minus star 2). We were given bread at the table which at no time were the crumbs removed from the table until after we paid for the bill.(Minus 3 stars). We then both ordered filet mignon which was not great and certainly not worth the price paid. We received our dessert, which was total garbage and I couldn’t even remember what it was because I’m trying to remove this from my mind(Star 4). With drinks and all the bill was just over $ 175. The next day I called the chef and complained at which point he started yelling at me on the phone(EXCUSEMEIMTHE F****** CUSTOMER A******!) and he offered me $ 75 worth of gift certificates which I wouldn’t even give to my DOG. I hope this place is closed soon so that no one else has to experience such a horrible place. Too bad I have to even leave a start, there should be negative options like EBAY on Unilocal. That said, I will guess this place will close very soon and I will never, ever recommend this place to anyone in this town. Cheers!

When I come back to Florida, I always make it a point to stop into this local steakhouse. From the appetizers(the carpaccio is amazing) to the steaks and desert, the food is spectacular and the presentation well done. The service is also very good. I find this to be one of Melbourne’s best. You should definitely check it out if you have not. Thanks for reading and enjoy.
