Love the pasta. Great friendly service. As snowbirders we have it on must do list. They genuinely want to know what you like Waiter bartender gave good wine and food choices

This is one of the places my wife enjoys anytime we go to Melbourne. The menu has changed slightly over the years but over all kept most staple dishes. We ordered the garlic bread with sauce as an appetizer — took a while for us to get it. When we did, the bread wasn’t warm and was lacking in flavor. :( I ordered the Crab Curry soup and while it had great chunks of papaya in it, nice curry flavor — I think I had a single small piece of crab. I think. Very disappointing.

It is unfortunate that this place did not live up to expectations… based on a recommendation from a local and good google reviews we decided to visit on a day trip to Melbourne. The server was attentive, informative, and very friendly. I would give him 5 stars if I could rate separately. I am not a picky eater, no dietary restrictions, easygoing, and am typically pretty generous and forgiving with my reviews, but my main complaints are: Expensive! We got LUNCH prices for two entrees and an appetizer and it was over $ 40. One review we read said«better quality for cheaper than Noodles and Co» but I disagree. Higher prices and lower quality. Creativity in the menu did not translate to plate. Nothing that we got really excited us. The Mojo Pork Tostones(app) were probably the best thing and the pork really lacked seasoning. I got the Cabo Bowl(chicken, coconut rice, black beans) and it really needed some kind of sauce to bring it together, overall a very dry dish that I could have easily made at home a bit better. My fiancée got the Fresh Fish wrap w/coleslaw and he thought it was pretty plain. It came with a tartar sauce that made it more interesting and he asked for two more small cups of it to make the wrap more exciting. The coleslaw was not that great. I wanted to like this place. It had a fun atmosphere and the service was really good, but it boggles my mind that I spent $ 40+tip on lunch.

So, this new Island Pasta Company is NOTHINGLIKE the one that closed in 2012 or 2013, and that used to exist a few doors down… It looks exactly the same and has a similar menu, but the service and quality of food have gone down the drain. I rated the old Island Pasta Company 5⁄5 stars and put it on my list of best places to eat in Brevard County. It’s a shame this one is so vastly different. Whereas the old Island Pasta Company was potentially one of the best ‘fine dining’ experiences in Brevard County, the new one is painful. I came here with my family of 5 on a Saturday night, and was lucky enough to promptly get a table, which was one of the few pluses. My whole family is vegetarian — in Brevard, it is always rare to find places that not only have a variety of vegetarian items on the menu, but also are able to customize their omnivorous dishes to make them veg-friendly. The old Island Pasta used to do both! This new one… we pressed hard to get enough vegetarian dishes for all of us. Our server was stand-offish, slow, and awkward throughout the evening. He was recultant to ask the chef our questions about the food being vegetarian-friendly, took almost 30 minutes to bring out an order of garlic bread, and refused to give us a second order of bread, saying that he couldn’t give us free bread… but we weren’t asking for free bread? We told him we were happy to pay for a second order, but he still never brought out an order. I ordered my staple from the old Island Pasta, which I was happy to still find on the menu: the Trenchtown Tortellini. I’m happy to report this is the SOLE dish that is still delicious at Island Pasta. The dish is a huge amount of fluffy cheese-stuffed tortellini, grapes, and bananas lathered in a creamy, yet light, alfredo sauce. It sounds really weird written down, but it’s an absolutely magnificent combination of flavors that burst on your taste buds. The rest of the pasta my family ordered was incredibly sub-par – we paid high(higher than the old menu) prices for what was essentially overcooked spaghetti with bland marinara, 4x over. Yes, Island Pasta Company still has its nice, downtown, tropical ambiance and one killer dish(the Trenchtown Tortellini)… but that isn’t enough to really ever make me want to return again, if the service and food will continue to be as bad as it was during my last visit. It’s a shame that the quality of the restaurant has gone down so much, just by moving a few doors down.

Island pasta is the cutest and quirkiest little restaurant in Downtown Melbourne(it really does go down in the DM). We sat outside in a walkway that is lit up with Christmas lights and has shops upstairs and down the hall. I had the Mediterranean pasta and it literally rocked my world. Feta was sent down from the heavens to bless humans with its deliciousness, and the Med pasta has generous amounts of it. They are also not stingy with the shrimp. By far one of the best pasta dishes I’ve had in a long time, and I was in Italy all last summer so that’s saying something. Frank, our server, was literally amazing. I wanted him to quit his job and sit down at our table and become part of our friend group. Ask to sit in his section whenever you dine here, you definitely won’t regret.

Went here for lunch today after church with a few church friends. Never been here before so I didn’t know what to expect. I had the jerk burger, which was delicious. It was a delicious ground beef patty cooked to order on garlic bread. Yummy! We had a group of about 20ish and the service was still fast. My friend next to me had the seafood macaroni and cheese, which I tried too. She had gotten crab and shrimp in it and it was wonderful. If you’re a pasta lover and are looking for a non chain restaurant, try this here. It’s in interesting downtown Melbourne too.

Go here everytime i’m in melbourne and their lobster ravioli, empanadas and jerk burgers are the bombs!!! Hard to find unique non franchises in melbourne like this. Stop by if you want a twist on Caribbean cuisine. Delicious!

The Thai pasta with shrimp was perfect! The pasta was light and sweet and spicy. The shrimp was huge, tender and wonderfully flavored. We also had the Yucca fries and sweet plantain appetizers and were very impressed. If you want tasty and fresh this is the place.

I love the atmosphere of this restaurant, and our server was so friendly, patient, and informative. I would definitely give him five stars. I ordered the Mediterranean pasta, and it was just okay, nothing special. It wasn’t bad either. My side salad was just okay as well. I think a different dressing would have made it better. I ordered the honey citrus cilantro dressing(i’m not sure of the exact name), and it just wan’t good. My mom ordered the Thai style pasta, and it was delicious. I would probably order that next time. We ordered yucca sticks and sweet plantains as an appetizer, and both were good. I would go back and try a different meal, because this is a beautiful restaurant, and the service was top notch.

Nice atmosphere, good location, great service, and above all… great food. But more than just the great food, you get a lot of it.; there is definite value for the money. Our order consisted of the Jalepeno Ravioli appetizer, a bowl of crab chowder, the Thai style pasta with a side salad, the Rasta Pasta, and flan for desert. While deep fried ravioloi is a staple on many restaurant menus, the Jalapeño Ravioloi appetizer was unique to me. While I can’t confirm it, I believed this was fresh made ravioli with minced jalepeno peppers and fresh cheese, then fried to perfection. The crab chowder has delicious chunks of sweet potato, crab meat, and a delicious cream-based sauce. The main dishes were exceptional. The Thai style pasta is a unique combination of a classic Thai-style peanut sauce and ingredients combined with traditional spaghetti noodles instead if the more traditional rice noodles. The Rasta Pasta dish is closer to a traditional penne-style pasta dish except it is created with Jamaican-jerked chicken, and the tomato-based sauce is embellished with the same jerk spices. The overall dish was zesty and fresh. Both main courses were equally delicious the next day for leftovers(remember, they portions are pretty large). The total tab, including a Coke and iced tea, minus the tip was about $ 50. Overall, it was a pretty good value, especially when you consider the portion sizes were large enough to take some home for lunch the next day. The service was prompt and courteous. Our waiter even made my wife’s main course selection. The restaurant had about 15 tables for seating including about 5 – 6 tables situated in the covered«patio» area. There was also full bar service available including a decent selection of beer and wine. The restaurant was very clean, fresh, and quiet. There was a single TV on the back wall but it only appeared to run a loop of background, atmospheric video; there was no audio. Worth visiting? Yes. Worth visiting again? Definitely, yes :)

Pretty good place to eat. Had the rasta pasta, empanadas and sweet potato fries. Everything was excellent. Rasta pasta was just a little on the spicy side but could have used a bit more. Service was a little slow but it looked like a waiter didn’t show for work. Will eat there again.

Very tasty food. Think Noodles and Company only priced better for what you order, sit-down with friendly service in a nice atmosphere.

Came to the area while I was visiting from New York. The food was amazing and our server Frank was a pleasure. The food was fresh and crisp. Frank was very attentive and offered us amazing choices for desserts. I highly recommend stopping by and enjoying an awesome experience.

Came here for lunch and shared the spinach salad with shrimp and blue crab and the natty dreads pasta. Both were so good! The natty dreads is flavorful with a little bit of spice and sausage, a nice change from traditional pasta. Will definitely get this when I come back. Our waiter(don’t remember his name) was very patient and helpful to my indecisive mother who did not know what to order. He also checked back to make sure she loved what she ordered. :)

Great service. Love the crab dip. Had the portobello pasta with shrimp. It was good. But to me and my table a little blend. If I could make a suggestion. Fresh garlic would lift the dish up. The staff and the wine was wonderfull. I do appreciate the very nice atmosphere in downtown Melbourne. Thank you. NOW I WOULDGOTOTHISPLACEANYTIMEBEFORE A CHAINRESTAURANTANYDAY.

Years ago I wasn’t such a big fan of this place; however, I’ve been coming here more often recently and realized that it’s pretty good. Different, but it’s definitely good. Always have had good service and food at both lunch and dinner; drinks are good and if they’re not they’re happy to re-make them but perhaps most awesome is their fried banana cheesecake dessert. It’s awesome. Highly recommended.

The pasta is very good. I always eat outside and enjoy the fresh air. A little pricey but not terribly so considering the area. I have always had good food and good service. I especially like the«Island Style», the curry sauce is just great! They are also very accommodating to switching which kind of pasta to put in which dish(personally I do not like spaghetti and they always switch those dishes to bow tie for me). The desserts are also good. I have noticed it seems warm inside but that doesn’t affect me because I set outside anyway.

Always delicious. We’ve been regulars for more than 15 years… even at the early location. Everything is fresh. Standouts for us are the Curry Chicken Pasta Salad(only thing my wife orders) and the Natty Dreads(spicy spaghetti w/sausage). They also have terrific cocktails.
