Very nice facility with motivated and helpful staff. Everyone here seems to really care on eye care and making sure prescription lenses and contacts are the best fit.

I made an appointment at Truitt & Truitt Optometrists as a new patient, and had a nice experience with them. I had an eye exam, contact lens fitting, and purchased new glasses and contacts. While I was checking out at the end of my appointment the doctor told the lady who was helping me, «I need to see her back in a week.» This was just to see how I was doing with my new contacts. The lady failed to remember to set that appointment up (I didn’t remember to do it either, but it’s her job to follow up with that), so later on I had to call and set up my follow-​up appointment. That was really no big deal. Then, on July 19 I went in to pick up my new glasses. At that time I set up an appointment for my two sons. We needed a Saturday, so we scheduled it for three weeks later on August 10 at 10:30. Today, a day before our appointment, I received a reminder phone call. But the caller had ONLY son A on the schedule for a 10:45 appointment. I told her that son B was also supposed to be seen. She stated that he wasn’t on the schedule, and that they would have a hard time fitting him in because they are SO booked with all the back-​to-​school appointments. Really? I made my appointments 3 weeks ago because my kids are going back to school too. She said she was sorry and told me something about appointments getting accidentally deleted if the people in the office click on the wrong thing. Whatever. My 10:30 appointment for 2 boys ended up being a 10:45 appointment for 1 boy. That is unacceptable. My appointment t card clearly states son A and son B on 8−10−13 at 10:30, so this was not an error on my part or a misunderstanding. The staff is friendly, the building is very nice, but apparently they need work in their scheduling practices. We’re going elsewhere.
