I love this Chinese Restaurant because they have the best Spicy Chow Mein in the Bay Area. Tried to order pick up the other day and was told that the restaurant closed a month ago? Does anyone know if they changed locations or if they permanently closed??? Any help would be appreciated.

This place is simply amazing! Nothing can beat their Dinner Rice Plate price of a $ 6.50(more or less)! You get rice and an entrée and they are not shady on the portions either! I am not sure their names but the lady and guy(the cook) are so friendly. The son, however, is more to the«order, get your food, and leave» mood. That’s what(at least from me) the vibe I get from him. I try to strike a conversation but he isn’t having it. Which overall, is not a deal breaker. The place itself is small. Cap space of I believe no more than 15. I know for sure I only order to go. If you are off work and don’t have dinner planned or ready, I would highly recommend getting your food here. Order on the phone or online(online orderings varies, as sometimes its not working). The sesame chicken is my go to! Fried perfectly and the chicken is tender. The sauce is so tasty! Some advice, order on the phone early, like an hour or so beforehand and tell them you are going to pick it up at(insert your time here). I think that is the best thing to do. I had times where they said the food would be ready in approximately an hour or 15 minutes.

If I’m going to get carryout somewhere, I call while I’m already on my way so that I arrive when the food is just out of the kitchen. This place just let the phone ring indefinitely the two times I called. Waste of gas and time. LEARNTOPICKUPYOURPHONES… even if you have to ask a customer to hold. When the phone keeps ringing, that means somebody isn’t doing their job. Been once before and I won’t be returning after this display of neglect.

I love this little restaurant! I usually go here on a weekly basis. If you haven’t been here you are missing out. Everyone I’ve brought here goes back to this place. They have the best Chinese food around with a +20 years of experienced chef. My faves: spicy chow mein and sweet and sour pork. They have lots of vegetarian options! Stir fried eggplants and string beans are flavorful. Wide selection on their menu for anyone to enjoy and all of what I’ve tried is delicious! Service is good. Family owned. The mom is super sweet and usually the waitress.

This cozy little restaurant’s specialty is spicy Sichuan cuisine. They do have the regular Chinese dishes too but you’ve got to try the spicy stuff if you are here. Look at the Unilocal pictures to help order!

I’ve been searching high and low for a great Chinese restaurant near my house ever since Fortune City closed over two years ago. I have now found it!!! The food is exceptional The Salt and Pepper Shrimp is the best and unexpected. The won ton soup rivals any I’ve had, is like wor won ton, full of veggies as well and the broth, wow!!! I got Kung Pao Shrimp as well and at first thought it was average but then tasted the slivered garlic and pieces of ginger, wow! Can’t wait to go back and keep trying new items!!!

Great food, although its Chinese name«SiChuanXiaoGuan» is a little misleading, especially since I spent the last 3 years in Sichuan’s capital, Chengdu, and the owners are definitely not from around there, nor is their food authentic Sichuan cuisine. I believe the owners are from Hunan, their dishes reflect that type of cuisine, its still spicy and flavorful, but not quite the same. Not that it really matters, if the food is good, I’m not complaining. And their prices and location are accommodating

Spicy, flavorful Asian cuisine that satisfies. The lunch specials are super value for money. And the ambiance of the restaurant can’t be beat!

Amazing place and I love the food. I go to a lot of Asian, Thai, Vietnamese, and Chinese restaurants, this one takes the cake for Chinese. Authentic flavours, great prices and deals, and a lovely environment. Personally I say it’s great for your first date, or your 100th date. 5 out of 5 for me :)

So I’ve been to this place a couple times on my lunch and this place is soooo goood. One thing I didn’t like was that I couldn’t get chow mein and fried rice together. they had me chose one or the other…

My family of 4 tried out Homespice for the first time recently. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. The star of the show, IMO, was the Salt & Pepper Calamari. Fried perfectly — not at all greasy, and seasoned with a nice bit of heat. I will definitely order that again! We also sampled Pan Fried Dumplings, Chicken with String Beans and Triple Delight Pan Fried Crispy Noodle with Chicken, Shrimp & Pork. All were very tasty. Will be back to try some other items on the menu — especially the ones labeled with Explosive Chili Pepper or Flaming Red Oil. I love the heat.

Family of four enjoyed the wide variety of food that we ordered. The salt and pepper calmari was especially delicious. Only downside is that food came to the table one plate at a time versus all at once. Likely a limitation of a single wok cook station. But the food was quite tasty

Before I tried Homespice, I assumed it would be yet another crappy Chinese restaurant in the area. Luckily, my girl tried it on her own and recommended it to me. Homespice Bistro is now one of my few go-to spots in the area. They serve mostly Szechuan style Chinese food. I’ve tried probably 70% of their menu, and only 1 or 2 dishes have let me down. Everything else is very good. It’s a small, humble, family-owned shop run by a husband and wife. The husband seems to do the cooking, while the wife takes the orders. She is very nice, but her English isn’t the best, so make sure to make clear what you are ordering. Some of my go-to items here are the braised string beans(with meat or tofu added on), Mongolian chicken, and mixed vegetables with tofu. If you are a big soup person, go with the fried egg with vegetable soup… on point! I get the impression that the food here is not too oily, and definitely no MSG used. Also, they make fresh fruit smoothies, with no sugar added. I like the mango one!
