I’m in love with the sandwiches here! I’ve been a few times and they never disappoint. The staff is very friendly. They get busy during lunch so always call ahead if you can. The roadrunner is the best BLT ever! My all time fav is the giblings, it’s just amazing! This place is a must try! They even have a cute area to dine in.

I am not from the Mahwah area and was having my daughters wedding at the Castle at Skylands Manor. We needed to have some sandwiches delivered for the Bridesmaids and the Groomsmen. Unilocal did not let me down! Michael asked me if I «wanted the best?» and he was right! We received great attention right from the beginning. We had wonderful platters of sandwiches and an amazing Quinoa Salad delivered right on time. Everyone loved the sandwiches, we had vegetarians as well as meat lovers and everyone was happy. Thank you Mary Ann’s for helping make our day run smoothly!

The food is good so it’s a shame I have to write this review. Today, I ordered a regular old Taylor ham egg and cheese. I made sure to say everything I wanted but I didn’t mention the bread. You would think the default bread to use for a sandwich of that type would be a Kaiser roll or something similar but when I arrived to the place… I was given my sandwich on an onion bagel. Why. Why that, the one thing I hate. That’s the crazy part. They don’t know if I like onion bagels, why would they put it on that? Doesn’t make any sense to me, common sense just seems to be something they lack. m or hey, maybe they ran out of rolls. Either way they should’ve asked me.

Came back with a sweet craving and figured I’d give them a second chance. I was one of three customers in there and went straight to the bakery counter. There was a younger women cleaning and an older woman with dark short hair cleaning around and about behind the bakery area. I browsed the case for two minutes and then stood for almost 5 minutes and was not acknowledged at all. These two staff members were within 10 feet of me twice. Absolutely ridiculous. Was too stunned to ask to be helped that I just went next door to dunkin donuts and got a donut. So bad!!!

The service is friendly and they will accomodate you if you give them an off-the-menu order during lunch hours. There is a clean, well-lit, comfortable front seating area. They have some amazing soups-of-the-day. The self-serve coffee station is convenient and comes with a large selection of flavors. I ordered an off-menu Turkey BLT during lunch. They gave a generous amount of everything — fresh, and the price was very reasonable. In all, I was extremely impressed by everything presented to me during lunch. On the downside, breakfast menu product quality is consistently disappointing. My last order was missing cheese, which I think is mind-numbingly poor quality control given that the check itemized the sandwich’s «cheese» and«meat!» The sandwiches just don’t present well, and are droopy, sad, and generally missing that New Jersey deli«wow» factor. tl;dr, I recommend this location for passersby looking for a good, reliable deli lunch service.

I loved going to this place! They have breakfast, lunch, dinner. Very casual and relaxing. The sandwiches I’ve tried were all great! The breakfast selections were all very tasty! I loved how they had different breakfast specials for different days of the week. Wide selection of coffee and tastes great! My only concern is abt going back there again, since there was some police activity there a few weeks ago. I’m a mother of two young kids, I can’t take that risk.

Was desperately hungry(I left the office early, shh!) and was craving a sandwich — found Mary Ann’s menu online and saw that they had a salmon sandwich(the Mitch-Witch!) AND the option to build your own sandwich. I got to the market around 5pm and it was rather empty. I asked the boy behind the counter about the Build Your Own sandwiches and if I could possibly build a sandwich with the salmon from the Mitch-Witch sandwich… unfortunately they had NOSALMON! I was heartbroken… I had been so excited for this salmon sandwich. BUT! The boy behind the counter(wish I knew his name to pay him a direct compliment) was so helpful — I asked him what other vegetarian options were available and he directed me to the grilled veggies they had. My whole plan was screwed up so I wound up asking him many questions about the breads, cheese, and other toppings… all of which he had no problem taking the time to answer and make suggestions. I ultimately wound up ordering the roasted veggies with smoked gouda, arugala, and avocado on the tomato focaccia along with a small side of macaroni salad. While I was waiting, there was a cookie sample by the register and if I wasn’t trying to NOT eat cookies, I would have bought one because it was SO yummy! The entire order was under $ 10 and was still warm by the time I got home… and boy, was it DELICIOUS! I was so incredibly happy with my experience at Mary Ann’s Gourmet Market AND my meal… Thanks guys!!!

This is the third time I’ve been to this place and this is the third time they screwed up my order. This time I ordered a bacon, well done egg white, and cheese with salt, pepper and ketchup. I got runney UNDER cooked egg whites and cheese. That’s it! Not only was my order wrong but under cooked eggs can make u very sick. NEVER go to this place. There are plenty of good CHEAPER places around.

I’ve been coming here on a weekly basis since I started going to Ramapo 2 years ago. Their sandwiches are delicious and very well made. The place is super clean and always smells like cookies since the bakery opened inside. Super reliable and have a huge variety. Great quality.

I really like this place. I work around the corner and I come here for lunch sometimes. Just get a quick salad and everything is great. Maybe on my day off I will come and actually try a sandwich when I have more time. The bakery is very good as well. I have tried the mini cannoli cream puff. It’s delicious !!!

Mary Ann’s is located within walking distance of my office, which is a huge positive. I try to be healthy whenever I can(doesn’t always work out too well), and Mary Ann’s offers one of the best salad bars ever. The prices are extremely reasonable, there are options of spinach, Romaine lettuce, arugula, and iceberg as well as at least 15(I’m shooting low, it may be more) other options of veggies, cheeses, and protein. I’ve taken my boyfriend here, and he usually gets sandwiches, where I stick with my salad. He’s tried the G-buck, which has chicken, avocado, and bacon(in addition to other ingredients, but that right there is a winner), and also the Jenkins, which is like a chicken cordon bleu, in sandwich form. He’s been blown away by both. My coworkers also die over the gumbo, which isn’t made very often, but when it is, they RUN over to pick some up — it’s apparently that good. You can eat in or take out — there are a variety of tables, booths, and chairs as well as a section with sofas and some board games spread out. In Mary Ann’s is also Wyckoff Bakery, which is a must stop. I go(on request) before any event to pick up their Italian cookies with sprinkles and chocolate filling in the middle(I know they must have a name, I just don’t know what it is). Everything is fresh and so delicious that I can’t even explain. Recently, I started buying muffins from the bakery, which are more muffin top than bottom part of the muffin(so many jokes can be made on this one) — which is the best part anyway. I’ve had the poppyseed and almond muffin and BF has tried the blueberry AND chocolate chip, with rave reviews on everything. For my dad’s birthday, I stopped over and picked up mini cheesecakes, which also were a huge hit. My only negative about Mary Ann’s is that the line/paying system is pretty disorganized. People wait at the counter, where the register is, but typically do not pay until they receive their food. This creates a huge cluster of people just waiting in one area, which can cause back ups in things moving quickly. Coming a little before noon or waiting until 1PM is definitely a best bet(though if you come at 1PM the salad bar isn’t as pretty looking — lettuce and things can get all over the actual bar, as well as the floor, and it just looks a little messy).

First time here at Maryanne’s and I’ve heard about great experiences here. Today was not one of them for me. Maryanne’s offer a deli, bakery, and café. I decided on lunch. The salad bar and fresh fruits look wonderful but I decided to go with ol’reliable: Italian Combo with mayo and oil and vinegar. To say the least, I was disappointed. Very little meat and the bread was hard as a rock. It’s 1:00pm on a Monday, everything should still be fresh. I’m willing to come back but not for a $ 9 Italian combo that’s ½ inch thick. Next time I’ll try the prepared food and see how that goes.

Mary Ann’s Market is a popular lunch spot. They offer a lot of inside seating and have a salad bar and soup station in addition to the deli. The other side of the market is a bakery. I’ve never personally tried any of their baked goods but they all look appetizing. I’ve come here a hand full of times now and every single time the duration of my visit is pretty lengthy. Lunch time rush is no joke. I’ve ordered many different kinds of sandwiches, some have been awesome, like the G-Buck, cant go wrong with that order. But there have been a few occasions where I’ve been let down. I ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich with avocado, lettuce and mayo, COLD and found out only after I got back to my office that it was hot(sigh). May not seem like a big deal but it was a huge bummer for me because the avocado and mayo got all warm and essentially ruined the sandwich, super frustrating. I did call to complain and the owner said to come back in next time and lunch would be on them. I took her up on this offer and they did honor the free lunch, which was appreciated. Beware of their salmon sandwich, yuck. It was just not good, at all. Also, I think their pricing is a little steep. I think this market is alright. I’m curious about the bakery, maybe I’ll give that a shot sometime.

Came here after accepted students day at Ramapo. My son decided to attend so will be in Mahwah more often. Had the Roadrunner last time(Ramapo mascot) this time went with The Thunderbird. Hot roast beef with sautéed onions some Gruyère cheese on soft pretzel roll. Very good. Got a side of fresh tomato and cuke salad. Question is do I take something from the bakery too?

Love the food. Their sandwiches are fantastic! I got«The Giblin» which was off the chain and my friend got«The Ridge», I think, which I also tried and enjoyed! The vibe is very chill and home-like which I loved. Super casual. It was a great meal stop after a hike up in Ramapo! I will bring all my friends

What a great place. Staff is energetic, knowledgable and attentive. Food is modern, clean and thoughtful. I had the“Gibling”, grilled chicken on onion brioche w/Brie, arugula and fig spread. Hibiscus iced tea. I want to try everything on the menu. Must try their catering. The bakery is new with the talent from the wykoff bakery. Try the Italian ricotta cheese cake and the crumb cake is legendary. Eat in or carry out, you must try their signature sandwiches. Breakfast is out of this world fresh and healthy. Make your own salad and a few hundred beverage choices. How can you beat this place, you can’t. Don’t forget to say hi to my favorite artist, Tami

I went here based on Unilocal reviews. It is basically an oversized deli with plenty of seating and even some booths. I was slightly turned off upon walking in because the floor is very messy and there were leaves all over the floor. The floor appeared as if it had not been cleaned in a while. The staff was super friendly and helpful. There were a lot of menu options, both hot and cold. I went with a turkey sandwich and soup. The sandwich was great and fresh. The chicken tortilla soup was also excellent. The sandwich was a build your own where you tell them what you want on it. The staff was so friendly I am sure they would do whatever to accommodate you.

I go here way too much, I’m a pretty lazy guy who just doesn’t feel like cooking most mornings and evenings. Great coffee & lattes, they have chocolate soy & almond milk as options. No idea why I use to go to Dunkin’. They are always willing to whip up my favorite wrap(I get the g-buc sandwich as a wrap). What’s odd about this place is the depth of selection, seriously you can walk in and order a steak, grilled salmon, bagels, hamburger, eggs… anytime of the day they are more then happy to oblige. I am always happy with the food and price.

Excellent family owned and run gourmet market with a very large selection of food. They have a dine-in area that is nicely furnished, plus do catering and to-go. Friendly staff, tasty eats, and a good atmosphere. What’s not to like? The deli sandwich as also top notch if you want to grab a quick lunch or bite to eat. I highly recommend the Danwich!
