Mahwah Pizza & Pasta

Pretty good fare here in an area where there are many Italian joints to choose from. The service was attentive during our visit on a Sunday afternoon, and the place had only one other table in play at this time. We had the following:
Eggplant Parm and Eggplant Rollatini: both dishes were good with great flavor and portion, and served steaming hot. Plenty of cheese and sauce to top these babies.
Pasta Fagioli: good and satisfying
Fried Calamari: crispy and not a bit overdone, enough for three to share. Real good stuff here.
Chicken Fingers and Fries: Nothing different than anywhere else you where would order these
Service was attentive and professional, the vibe is super casual, and the price point is fair.

Just ordered from here. Ordered a burger and all I can taste it «burnt». They forgot my cheese cake and it took them 35 minutes to come bring it. After waiting 35 minutes to eat my cheese cake, when I opened it, it was frozen. Legit frozen. Never wasting my money here again.

This place used to be great. However the past few times I went here I haven’t been impressed. First of all they have new staff that don’t know what there doing. I was overcharged because they rang it up as 2 separate platers instead of the combo. Then they even forgot to bring out one of them. Another person asked specifically for a burger cooked medium rare with American cheese, burger was burnt, bun was stale and no cheese. And we waited way too long for it. Don’t think we’ll be coming back.

Delivery was incredibly fast. Food arrived perfect and hot! Me and my husband were/​are very pleased. Expect another order from us soon.

I happened to stop here on my lunch break. The lot was big enough to get a 45 foot tractor trailer into. That alone is a huge plus. Well anyway, I had two slices of tortellini pizza. It was awesome as they had vodka sauce on them. I thoroughly enjoyed them. I recommend this place.

I had quite a negative experience here. I ordered takeout online (as I’ve done before here) and after an hour and 15 minutes, I called to check on my food since it had not arrived yet. The girl told me that my food went out 15 minutes prior and would be here very soon, as I live only a little over one mile away. My food did not show up for an additional 25 minutes. Since it had left the restaurant 40 minutes earlier, my food arrived cold. I called and was apologized to and told that they would send me new food right away. After waiting another 30 minutes, my new food still had not arrived so I called back and was told they would submit my order for a third time. I requested a refund as well this time since by the time i would finally receive my food (which was a sandwich, fries, and garlic knots mind you– simple things) it would be nearly 3 hours from when I placed my initial order. I was told I couldn’t have both and that I was better off just getting a refund and no food. I was then placed on hold and either got disconnected or was hung up on. I ended up with no food but was given a full refund through eat24 where I place my order. The person I spoke to there was great and very helpful. I wish I could say the same about the manager/​owner of this pizza place (not sure who I was speaking to exactly). He was incredibly difficult and unwilling to fix this issue that was in no way my fault. I don’t think any other restaurant would allow their customers to wait 3 hours for a delivery to arrive and then still expect them to pay full price in the end. I understand that things can get busy but 3 hours is unacceptable. This is absolutely the last time I will bring my business here.

I used to order from here all the time when I went to Ramapo and I thought it was great. I ordered delivery from here last week (to Ramsey) and was terribly disappointed. I ordered a cheeseburger and not only was it BURNT!, but it was charged as a double cheeseburger. (It was not a double.) A waste of money.

Not very good — if you have to eat pizza go Sonny and Tonys across the way.
Sonny and Tonys is way to go in this complex. Not the best but far better than Mahwah Pizza

The food is okay, average no really complaints. The food just doesn’t stand out that much.

I have ordered take out here quite a few times. The staff are very nice and the place seems clean. I have only ever ordered varied grilled chicken salads, and although they are very good, I find for a salad the prices are way too high. But since I do not go very often I am willing to pay the price every now and then.

Great place for lunch (as we did), or dinner (as we will). Excellent staff, clean environment, nice décor and fish tank. too! We had a business lunch with a retired colleague who loves this place. We ordered the large Mahwah pizza — incredible — looking over the menu, I know what my chose for dinner will be…

Stopped in for lunch. Very clean inside. Nice amount of display food options. The pizza was good, not the best, but still good. What else can you ask for, right?

They have the pest pizza and pasta I ever eat I love so mush the pasta with whit calm souse they I love to go there every day and they have the pest servers too

Earlier today I had ordered a Margherita Pizza Pie for delivery and it was delivered within the time frame that they had given us! (45min) the total with tax came around to $ 19 with some change and the pizza was quite delicious. There were thinly sliced shavings of basil shredded delicately on top of the pizza and the cheese was not too overbearing. You could definitely taste the fresh tomatoes and I was satisfied with the overall pie. HOWEVER, in my mind I was expecting large plum tomatoes garnished generously on top of this pizza and I did not see that. It was the Romano cheese that stole the show and the plum tomato was mashed as a sauce playing the understudy. I expected a theatrical show and I was given a delicious school play instead.

Consistently good. Not great but certain items are really not bad. I’m a personal fan of their white pizza done in the wood oven. I also like their calzone (spinach & artichoke) yummmmm. Pastas are hit & miss but their baked ones are really good. Not as bad as their rating. I’d say more like a 3.5 for consistency than a 3.

Wow at all the bad reviews. i ordered from there 3 times in row, yes the first time they brought the wrong order but the right order was delivered within 10 mins. the 2^nd and 3^rd day i had the baked ziti oh em g!!! yum… i never had delivery time issues… lol they always come on time. I never had the pizza put the pasta dishes I am impressed. Only bad thing i can say is the restaurant is not customer service friendly but the delivery guys are. How ironic.

We were here for a family night so our experience was a little different than the norm (lots of kids and parents, but exactly what we expected). Things were a little hectic with all the customers getting tables, and we eventually just went to the cashier to place an order since the waitresses were busy elsewhere. Not a problem, again, a different kind of night!
We ordered a large pie and some fountain drinks. The pizza was surprisingly good. We have lots of good pizza in the area and never tried this, but I liked it. The sauce wasn’t sweet, the dough was on the thicker side and the slices came out a little soft (not hard like if it were a thin crust) and it was delicious. Large enough to easily feed a couple of adults and kids.
We ordered dessert as well — we tried a chocolate mousse cake and a peanut butter pie. So good. Honestly, both were exceptional. I doubt they make these in-​house (since it’s a pizzeria, I would be surprised), but in any case you should share a slice to cap off the night. Nice job, will return.

I order from Sonny and Tony’s and will continue after this experience. After and hour and a half I called up and was informed «they’re leaving soon «. I live 3 blocks away in Society Hill, in no way shape or form should it ever take that long. After waiting almost 2 hours the pizza was Luke warm at best and very bland. Considering I got the Mahwah special I was dumbfounded it was bland considering there are more than enough ingredients. Garlic knots were the only saving grace and even those were dry and cool. Will not be ordering from them again.

Worst pizza I have ever had. The delivery took an hour and a half to get here but they quoted us 45minutes. By the time the food got here it was cold. The garlic knots were so dry and the pizza was so bland. We got two brick oven personal pies and the chicken parm one was terrible. The chicken was dry and bland and the sauce was disgusting. We definitely won’t be ordering from there ever again.

These people cannot tell the truth. Called at 6:20pm for pizza said it would be here by 7:15. Called twice to ask where it was once at 7:39pm and was told we are busy but said another 20 min. Called again at 7:59 and told to be patient it will be leaving soon. Finally arrived at 8:10.
I understand that it gets busy but there is no way being dishonest is good business.
FYI pizza was 3 out of 5 but Anthony’s coal fired pizza in Ramsey is a little better.
