I initially discovered Tina from . She’s absolutely fantastic and knows What she’s doing. Very professional and talented. Moreover, her price is reasonable. I highly recommend her! I uploaded a pic of her new business car for other people. She now works at Little Cho club. 300 s. Hobart blvd #102 Los Angeles ca 90020 213−944−3483 is her cell number. I think she’s especially good at styling hair for people whose face is big and wide!

I have come here about three or four times and I have been very happy with the cuts and perms. I’ve had some bad experiences at other Korean hair salons — too curly, too short, unstylish cuts. But here, I’ve walked away satisfied each time. The stylist JiJi is very friendly and kind. Mainly speaks Korean but her face is very pleasant and you feel at peace there. She is the only one working there, so if you like quiet places without loud music or voices, this place is great. As for the cuts, her style is very gentle, she doesn’t do anything drastic to make you uncomfortable. Also, I have been most pleased with my perms here. Not too curly, but just right, and manageable when you try to maintain it on your own at home. And even though I haven’t been able to do my hair for a few months now, my curls have stayed set. The best thing was, the last time I came here, an elderly woman came in to get a perm and I overheard her saying that she gives 50% discount for the elderly. I thought that was a kind gesture. The special that I saw that seemed good for people might be the Keratin/Magic straight perm for $ 100. The cuts here are probably around $ 25, cut plus perm around $ 60, and mens around $ 10.

There was no TINA! There was an old Korean lady and she did my hair. She was the only person there. She was not talkative and not even tried to make me feel not awkward. She kept watching the television show while touching my hair. It took her so long to simply cut my hair. She even told me to give more tips when I paid. I gave her 20%. I did not satisfied with my hair but I just pretended that I was okay with my hair. I would not go back even though this place is cheaper than the other Korean salons. I would never go back.

Hi everyone out there! This place is really really good. It was Monday and I usually go to Camille’s barber shop cause he is great, but doesn’t open on Mondays. I kept looking through Unilocal looking for a decent place but the good ones around k-town charged $ 20 – 30 per cut for males… so I saw this place it was the 25th place recomended on Unilocal and called to ask how much was a mens haircut. It was $ 10 I was like what the heck might as well try it out. MAN the lady there can cut hair well!!! She spoke to me in korean and was really really friendly, nice, answered all my questions. I think imma start going here instead of camilles. The lady there knows her stuff and the price cant be beat $ 10 mens cut, it should be at least $ 17 but go there it is awesome!!! I signed up for Unilocal cause people need to hear about this place!!!

The owner of this business, Tina, is no longer working full-time at Tina Hair Salon — just by appointment only. She had technically left the store to another person to manage for her since mid-May, while she went on vacation. I didn’t know this and called the store to ask for her, and they told me she MOVED to Korea, which isn’t true. Maybe they want all of TIna’s customers for themselves but Tina is still in LA. I called Tina because I had her cell phone number from before, and she told me that she is still here, and only working part-time now. (To the reviewer below who gave a bad review over miscommunication — you are entitled to your opinion but basing a review on miscommunication when this is a hair salon [and not a communication-based company] doesn’t merit a one-star review. Sure you can dock one or two stars if it was REALLY that much of an inconvenience but what’s the point of complaining about the communication barrier [didn’t you notice while you were talking to them the first time?] after the fact, and basing your review on a service you didn’t even bother getting? This is a salon. Rate it based on the actual services offered. This is tantamount to giving a great restaurant a one-star review because you went in to use their restroom and saw that it was not stocked with toilet paper.) Anyway, if you’re looking for Tina and are a regular customer of hers, she can see you by appointment. I’ve tried all of the different«full-service,» expensive salons in LA and I don’t see the point of paying so much when I can just go to Tina and get a good job done, consistently, for a whole lot cheaper. I really like her consistency and experience so I think I’ll call her instead of just going to the salon. I REALLY don’t like being lied to. I called her at 213−944−3483 and asked her to meet me at Tina Hair Salon, considering she still does her work there with her customers(because it IS still her business). Btw, Tina doesn’t speak fluent English either but I’ve seen her deal with non-Asians at the salon before while I was there and she was nothing short of polite and professional.

So, I called beforehand to make an appointment and asked if it was okay to bring my dog along. I was told«yes», this isn’t a problem at all. So, then I showed up and was told that the dog is not welcome and needs to stay outside the salon. The explanation I was given was that there was a miscommunication between the assistant and the hairdresser — who does not speak English — and therefore I was told the wrong information. WTF? So, I really cannot say anything about this place except that this experience was horrid and that the hairdresser does not speak English. I do not speak Korean, so for me this probably would have been not such a good place either. Waste of time.

Tina is amazing. I have heard about her from so many friends even before she opened her own salone, but I was hesitant to change my hair stylist just because I didn’t want to risk. But I decided to get a hair perm, which I have never done before, so I decided to get it from Tina. The price was relatively cheap compared to other Korean hair salones, and her styliing was really great, probably because she was experienced with college students and young customers like me. She was familiar and updated with current Korean and Japanese hair trends, and she gives good advices on how to style hairs. I got a lot of compliments from my friends I never want to change my hair stylist again.

I got my hair trimmed awhile at Tina’s. I was very happy about the cut because it was so last minute! I dropped by during the evening hours and was greeted, shampooed, trimmed with a blowout in less than 30 minutes!!! I was in and out of there so fast I didn’t know what happened. But I do know that the trim left my hair feeling lighter and in the next few weeks when my hair grew into the trim, it looked even better! :) Definitely drop by if you need a last minute cut!
