Random visit here yesterday. My cousin had a dress fitting across the street and I arrived early and was patiently waiting, bored in my car. So, I was looking at the ends of my hair (weird I know) and it was soooo damaged. So I decided to look on Unilocal (duh) and find a descent place to get a trim. This place popped up and I called and asked if they could take me now. She said yes and I ran across the street.
Mavis washed my hair, massaged my scalp, and happily sat me down and did her thing! She was the sweetest thing! I couldn’t understand half the things she was saying, but who cares! She was just so cute and sweet!
Anyway, it’s kinda a whole in the wall, upstairs from Mr. Coffee, and there is no sign for the shop, so I just kinda peeked into all the shops till I finally went in and asked if I just spoke to her. She said yes and there we went. :)

Super great owner. So friendly and knows how to cut hair! Gives great recommendations and prices are really reasonable! So glad i found mavis! Ive only ever had nightmare experiences at salons but this is where im coming from now on!!!

I’ve been getting my hair cut here on and off for 10 years. It’s not the most luxurious hair salon in LA, but for the price and quality of the cut, it keeps me coming back. The owner never cuts off more hair than I ask (unlike some other Korean stylists) and a blowout is included in the price. There is a convenient parking lot too. She’s great at styling my long hair, but she also gives my mom (who has short hair) the best hair cuts she’s ever had. She constantly gets compliments on her hair cut/​style. I would recommend this salon if you want a nice haircut without spending a fortune.

I go here for all my hair cut needs, especially when I chopped off 8 inches to donate last month. I got NOTHING, but GREAT compliments on my new very short doooo~ AND it was only $ 30.
Mavis has GREAT eyes and knows what looks good based on your face structure. I’m not someone who has specific hair ideas in mind, so it’s good that she gives good ideas.
