No change from before. The tuna sandwich was just«A-OK.» Like I said before, if you work at Cedars, you probably give this place a much higher rating than it deserves… because it’s better than the cafeteria and closer to your office.

Just got a veggie wrap with rotten avocado. It smelled so bad I don’t understand how they don’t know they’re serving spoiled avocado! I’m definitely not going back to this place.

I ordered a hot sandwich. After waiting for almost 20 mins I finally get my sandwich & hurry off to my daughters room only to be disappointed. The sandwich was cold not even a hint of being warm. I will not be going back. Who eats mozzarella, basil & tomatoes sandwich cold!!!

I work in the building & it’s sad the selection of so-called restaurants that are available but when in a rush this is all that’s offered. The sandwiches are decent but the price is a little high. I just purchased a $ 4.99($ 5.44 w/tax) cup of chicken soup because I needed to rush to a meeting & it was cold. The price of the soup should be $ 3.99 just so they can make a buck & they should make sure the temperature is acceptable before dispersing. Hope this review can help the restaurant & the patrons especially the people that work in the hospital & that building. Otherwise, we would all go across the street for the $ 5 fruit guy or food truck that has way more bang for your buck. Thanks!

The chicken club sandwich was actually pretty good. It came with a small bag of Lays plain chips. The iced tea on the other hand was absolutely dreadful. As the cashier was filling my cup I noticed how light the tea was. When I took a drink, it had no flavor what so ever. Bad iced tea loses my business forever.

I can’t believe so many people feel so negatively about this place. I see most of the bad reviews were from earlier in the year, so hopefully they’ll give this place another shot soon because I absolutely love this place! In the AM, I get my boss and I an egg, bacon, and cheese breakfast sandwich on an english muffin and it is DELICIOUS! Seriously one of my all-time favorite breakfast sandwiches. Then, for lunch, I’ve loyally stuck to the ABLT because 1) BLTs are my favorite sandwich, and 2) they do a delightfully delicious job making it. The bread is perfectly toasted with lots of avocado and the like. The people are so nice and contrary to other reviews, there are always 3MAX people working there, and there are no sandwich forms you have to fill out. I look forward to trying their pulled pork in the future, and many other sandwiches. They also have fresh juices and blends that look tasty – I have yet to try any, but I know I will soon. I don’t feel like this place is chaotic at all, and you can call before you go to place your order to avoid waiting. Problem solved.

This is as good as it gets… in Cedars-Sinai. I mean, don’t make a special trip for it, but it you’re already in the towers for some reason, it’s quite nice and rather cute. Like others have mentioned, it does get very busy for lunch, but it’s rather slow until around 10am usually. Cedars, if you’re not familiar, has 4 towers and at least half a dozen restaurants, as well as 2 decent cafeterias, so there’s some competition. It’s my favorite though, and the current 2.5 star rating just isn’t accurate. The Sandwich Bar is not all that expensive for what you get, especially for technically being in Beverly Hills. The bagel sandwiches are very hearty for just $ 6, the salads are generous, and $ 3 is the cheapest I’ve ever seen 8 ounces of fresh-squeezed orange and carrot juice. The only areas Judi’s Deli down the hall or the cafeterias beat this place is with seating and hours. No seating here, and it closes early(around 4). Otherwise, it’s a gem.

I come in from a neighborhood business to get their Low Fat Veggie sandwich once a week at least. I like their tomato bisque, too. I order for my boss occasionally, who never orders on-menu. She’s got a marked-up takeaway menu I carry in and these folks very patiently make the sandwich to her exacting specifications every time. Thanks!

I don’t understand all the bad reviews. I’m so grateful that this place is another lunch option for me at work. I am definitely not a hospital cafeteria food type of girl… lol. The service is pretty quick and there are plenty of options. I’ve tried their tuna melt, cubano, Korean bulgogi, and grilled cheese sandwiches, as well as their corn & shrimp soup. They all were delicious, but my favorite has to be the Korean bulgogi sandwich. I loooove the picked veggies they put in it. Yum! Also the sandwiches are pretty huge. You can totally split a sandwich with someone else. :)

I went to The Sandwich Bar on April 6th with a compadre and an amiga who both work in the West Tower. They’ve been here before, while this happens to be my first time. I ordered the Sunrise Grilled Chicken, which I enjoyed. It cost $ 8.00. This seems like a place to avoid since there’s no buzz about it. Mi amiga stated that her cheese on her sandwich was melted. There’s also a lot negative reviews about this place, so I’m only 2 stars. If they don’t make important changes on this location, my guess they will be a mediocre place to eat sandwiches. Complaints about the amount of oil: Complaint about their sandwich not melted:

Great for breakfast sandwiches and fresh juices. No good for lunch. The soups, while tasty, are oil laden. I ordered a tuna sandwich as well and for some reason in addition to the mayo that is in the tuna salad, they also smear globs of mayo on both pieces of bread. It was so gross. They are located in a medical center, why all the fat and mayo? It was horrible. However, I’ve gotten many breakfast sandwiches there and those are delicious. Calm down on the extra fat sandwich bar, know your clientele!

Bonk. I was pretty excited that there would be a new place at work to have lunch. Unfortunately, this place has disappointed me too many times to want to return. There seem to be 15 employees behind the counter doing the work that maybe 4 people should be doing. It results in absolute chaos for orders. You’re required to fill out this sandwich order form which *should* make things easier, but half of the time the cashier doesn’t even look at the form and just asks you what you want. I recite my entire paper order form to her and then it gets put… somewhere. What’s the point if you’re just going to ask me anyway? Getting your food can take either a very short time or a very long time. You never know, really. And it doesn’t matter which place you had in line. People behind me have gotten served much earlier for no apparent reason and while waiting for a sandwich for nearly 10 minutes, I watched some poor girl ask repeatedly where her soup order was. Really? There is a crock of soup right there. You spoon it into a bowl and hand it so someone. How does that possibly take more time than the 12 sandwiches given out sooner? Judy’s, which is just down the hall from this place, offers more options/variety and is consistently more crowded, and they still churn out the food in an orderly fashion. The prices there are a touch higher, but I’d rather pay a premium for faster service and way better food.

Food is meh. The first day they opened I tried the pulled pork… that was a mess because they were still so disorganized. They have 6 employees to make a sandwich. C’mon! The bulgogi sandwich was good but $ 11 for a meal is not worth it. $ 5.50 for tomato bisque and 2 garlic bread. Not an everyday lunch place. If you expect a reasonable and heavy lunch… this not the place. Just go to Subway.

I will continue to eat here once a week only because its one out of 4 choices I have. I assume anyone eating here either works for Cedars or is a patient there(If you dont fall into these categories there is NO reason to come to this place) therefore I am going to compare it to Judi’s deli. Food: Sandwiches are different than the ones at Judi’s, But I think I like Judi’s better. I really enjoyed their tomato bisque soup but they do not have a half sandwich/soup combo despite what it says on the menu. Value: The amount of brown rice pop differs on who the server is. The sandwiches are smaller than the one at Judi’s. Prices are about the same Service: better than Judi’s. The people are friendly, this is about the only reason why I prefer this place.

Food is OK — it’s presentation, organization, and chaos that sink this place. They have about ten employees and still can’t make any sense or order of the whole process. They want patrons to write out on these goofy clip board your order, when you do order, they lose the piece of paper. Just wasted several of my few lunch minutes. You walk to the place your order and don’t acknowledge you or turn away from you. I am never sure if they got my order or not. The ordering system does not communicate. I will order a sandwich and tea. The sandwich will be ready and the guy calls out, tuna fish(my name is clearly written on the order). He hands me the sandwich like its a done deal. I always have to say«I ordered a drink too». Poor management, lack of order, lack of direction, staff does not know who is doing what. Its a real time waster to spend 20 minutes to get a sandwich/soup. The food is pretty good but the service and chaotic atmosphere kill this place. Sorry guys

I thought maybe they had made a mistake by putting way too much oil on my sandwich(literally dripping), but from reading the other two reviews, this is typical practice. i ordered a panini and the cheese was not even melted!

While visiting the medical center I stumbled across this sandwich spot and they were giving out chili samples. The chili sample tasted good but I didn’t order it and opt to try their fresh mozzarella panini, instead. I must say they have a nice food variety from breakfast sandwiches and burritos, cold and hot sandwiches, smoothies, and soup. So, the sandwich I ordered was a disappointment… boo! It has got to be the most oily, very bare mozzarella sandwich I’ve ever had. It did have flavor but they were very skimpy on the mozzarella cheese, tomato and wait a minute it said to have basil… well it didn’t have any Unless, it was incorporated into the pesto sauce… dunno! The moment I bit into sandwich all I felt was drips of oil coming out if it. This was a pretty sad sad sandwich and I would not recommend it. Although my first experience was not a good one, I would give it one more try in the future and try something else.
