The MIMELA — is a great film shoot location for horror, nightclub, bar scenes, mob social club, gambling spot, crack house, artist flop, etc. Not an upscale shoot location. You will definitely need a Production Designer. Jeff is the guy who manages the space. He’s extremely friendly, accommodating and professional. He’s very flexible with what you can do with the space. It’s a large room. They have fog, disco lights, black floor and just installed black lights. There is a bedroom, kitchen, patio space, great tunnel outside the space which is perfect for shooting horror, fight, murder scenes. Jeff is also willing to build some things if you need it for the set. The space is very affordable at $ 600.00 a day for up to 12 hours. Parking to unload might be tricky, but there is a pull in space on the side of the building. It’s all residential parking and you can usually find a space on the weekend, but the weekday during the morning and rush hour will definitely be a problem. But, overall, you should definitely check out the space for your next film shoot. If interested, tell him I referred you for a possible discount. Website:

Mix use space right before/after the 2 Freeway on/off ramp. Having an event here can be quite affordable, $ 300/day; but getting your guest in is a bit tricky due to the relentless traffic and limited parking. The space itself is quite small and in need of much repair. You will have to do a lot of cosmetic touches to get it to your desired effect for your event. I was here for a charity event and the place fit about 25 people comfortably and this was with a food table, bar, dj and 4 guest tables.
