Convenient, friendly staff, usually we can find what we need here, but if we think they might not have we head to Ralph’s or Vons.

Good store since it has most of the basics that you would expect to find here. The employees have good customer service. Nothing bad to say about that since I’ve been shopping here for years. The locating can be dangerous and tends to be know for its gangs.

My local market since the 80’s. This place has been improved over the last 15 years. They offer cooked food ready for your table, from fry to baked food, as well as great pan dulce & cakes for most celebrations. Staff has been better now then before, they are more helpful now then years past. I have many local markets close to me but this is my go to place since its about two blocks away from me. Plenty of parking.

5 stars for the bakery only! They have fresh bread baked daily and throughout the day as well! I love that the rolls are still warm when I pick them up and the staff is really nice. The produce dept. on the other hand is a 1 star. The produce is so old and pricey! It’s a shame otherwise this would be my one stop.

Wow, After 7 years I decided to write a review. The cakes are the best. I tried a few other places and I always come back to this one. The cakes are so delicious, a few times the design was not very professional, but the flavor was still good. I can say BESTCAKESINTOWN!

This place is down the street from my house, so I go there frequently. I have mixed feelings about it because it is convenient, but it is a little small and some of the less popular items look really old. The other day I wanted some cocktail sauce for some shrimp I bought and it was brown! Other than that it is an okay neighborhood grocery market. I like the salsa, chips and quest most of all. I used to like their bakery, but then I saw a ton of flies in one of the carts with the fresh items and when I told the lady she didn’t do anything about it. I told the manager and theft shooed the flies away but still left the bread out to sell so I was grossed out and refuse to buy the baked goods from there. In all honesty though, I say go to the one on York of you can-much cleaner and larger. Or I actually prefer Super King down the street on San Fernando road, but sometimes that place gets too packed, or like I said-I just need one or two things and this place is just a couple blocks from my house(5minutes walking).

This is my market. Always find parking, it’s clean, employees are always super friendly, love the bollios and sweet bread(conchas), the produce is ok not too much of a selection. But all in all this is my go to market.

I can’t say enough about their bakery! They have the best conchas(a Mexican sweet bread) and other yummy pan dulce. The conchas are cheap and always fresh. You know when you go to a bakery and buy conchas that are stiff and lacking in flavor? Ya, not this bakery! They always have fresh ones to offer. They are soft and are sweet; perfect with some nice cold milk. While I’m here I also but my necessities for my fridge. Good prices, friendly staff, ample parking and you get one grocery bag for free. So that’s a plus, especially if you are like me and sometimes forget your reusable ones:)

The alcohol prices gives this place a solid 4 stars instead of the wishy washy 3.5 I would like to give it. They always have good prices on tequila. Mixers on the other hand are very sparce. Just a small selection. The store seems to be getting cleaner and better as the years go by. I might notice more changes because I only go in when I am visiting my dad. I’m not really well versed in Hispanic neighborhood shopping so I couldn’t tell you if their selections are great or bad or mediocre. All I can tell you is that when I go in, the prices for most of the things I buy are good. The Mexican cheese I get from here is delicious to me. And I think they have an all around decent selection. They always have a good number of staff on hand, it’s nice to see grocery stores doing well enough to staff properly. I hate it when stores under staff and then everything goes to crap. Parking can be a little tight here so I suggest extra caution when going through the parking lot, too many people in a rush. And don’t get distracted by the tasty looking BBQ they have going on one side of the lot.

Excellent all-around, easily a 5-star review if they had a little better selection(e.g. different brands, organics). Their deli has helped us with many a yummy bbq’s and both their meats and sides have always been on-point — especially their marinated asada, that’s a 5-star review on its own. We’ve tried their bakery a few times as well, and that’s what prompted my to finally write a review for them — they whipped-up a last minute birthday cake for me yesterday, and it was DELISH — bonus points for super friendly service despite my very poor planning. Very convenient location/parking, good selection of beers, and staff is always helpful/friendly.

Love thus market. The employees here are always friendly and courteous. The cashiers are fast and they have their own baker plus butchers. There’s always parking when I go and the place is clean. The market is located in a «rough neighborhood» but you couldn’t tell by the way it’s so clean and never from my experience has there been any incidents that has happen that would make you think twice about coming here. Again the ppl are friendly and the lines go fast.

Super A is the market right by my mom’s and with complete certainty it is a staple and a local market. The amazing amazing amazing bakery always churns out fresh pan dulces in the morning, afternoon… anytime. the security guard us the sweetest, the cashierd are cool. We’ve gotten to know so many of the staff and love this place. More pros: — in house fresh foods: salsas, guac, hot sauce, cheeses, tortillas(flour and wheat are amazing) — inexpensive wine glasses I’ve gotten so many compliments on Now they’re having bbq outside that smells and looks so good.

My mom and I just happened to be in the area and decided to do our grocery shopping here. We were both quite impressed! The salsa and nopales we bought were delicious! The store is very clean, and orderly. If we ever happen to be in the area again(which is likely) I really want to try some of their hot food selection.

If I lived in the are this would be my preferred food market. They had a stack of newspaper on every checkout(La Opinion). When I paid I tried to buy one, they said it was free. The food is not expensive here, you can find good deals.

This place was great! The nicest staff I had ever met. The spicy cooked chicken that they pre-make is highly addicting.

We recently moved to the area, and after being stuck in one to many shopping cart jams at Super King I decided to give Super A whirl. SO… cute and nostalgic, ample parking(I’m talking to you every single Trader Joes), and sincerely friendly checkers. Fresh pan dulce is fantastic, and if I need a quick dinner, I swing by here to get excellent site made salsa, crema, and tortillas because if you add some chipoltle, ANYTHING is a taco.

This Super A was my primary source for grocery shopping until a couple years ago. It’s very convenient. It’s open long hours. There is no pretense of trying to be upscale or at the leading edge here. But the staff is friendly and the store is clean and well maintained. Their weekly ad specials are often very good values. Their in-house made fresh tortillas and tortilla chips are excellent. On the downside, I’ve given up on some of their bakery items like their Danish pastries which seem to be invariably stale and dry. A few years ago their prices began rising at a pretty fast clip, especially with fresh meat and produce. Overall this market hasn’t really been very competitive with some other local independent markets and newer markets in the same area, such as Super King. But it’s still hard to dislike Super A. For the best values, you can check out their weekly ad online before you do your shopping. If your frugal habits induce you to cash in your bottles and cans for the CRV, there is a recycling service operating here in a corner of the Super A parking lot.
