This subway is beyond terrible. This employee named Shaari or something like that was extremely rude. We came in around 8:50pm and she didn’t even greet us, not a hi or a thank you. She spent the whole time looking pissed off and attitude. We asked her to put on food with a please like what the heck? She didn’t spread the condiments or even put any effort distributing avocado. I didn’t spent $ 10 to have that kind of customer service, especially in this busy crowded high demand city like this. This subway needs to look at its employees and management because with this kind of service, something is wrong. I would give 0 star if I could.

This subway was a little clean, they need to clean little more often and the workers were ok. They ran out of cup lids for the drinks and I had to ask for them. They had a separate fountain drink for iced tea and the tray under it was really gross, but the food was good, veggies were fresh and the meat was good. Overall environment was alright.

Worst subway ever. Stay away! The music was so loud but not fully on the station. She sold me 2 fountain sodas but didn’t tell me the machine was broken and out of ice. Gross hot soda! Then ignored me when I tried to get help. Bad bad place

The worst, most rude employees ever. Huge fatass, ghetto, thuggish guys and girls with tattoos and bad haircuts who are totally incompetent. You need to repeat your order to these employees 3 – 5 times in order to get what you want. They drop the meat and other ingredients all over everyone else’s orders and into other containers. If you’re vegetarian, guess what you’re eating meat. And if you don’t like mayo or mustard guess what you’re getting it if the person in front of you orders it.

Saturday, May 10, 2014 I ordered two footlongs«to go». We were in the area visiting family, my daughter and I wanted to eat a late lunch. We were disappointed. The bread was so dry, it fell apart while eating it. Like it was day old bread. Normally, you always get a great sandwich no matter where you buy Subway sandwich. This one was awful.

Usually don’t bother writing bad reviews or awful experience, but this time I got really pissed off. Their staff could only provide insolent service, behaved like robots with no smiles, and even worse, wouldn’t feel any regret or apologize for their mistakes!

I had a craving for their Flatizza’s today, so I used their App to order one, but ordered it just a few seconds before entering the store so I could inform them I wanted the 2 for $ 5 deal, since(again) I could not figure out how to order that deal via the App. I added chopped steak as one of the toppings, which the App informed me would cost an extra 75 cents for one Flatizza. They had just started to put stuff on a flatbread as I entered, and I asked if that was mine, and it was. The sauce was already on it and she had just began putting on the meat. But as usual, the sauce was only in the middle of the bread, leaving quite a bit of the sides and corners barren of anything. So again, as with last time, I asked for the sauce to be evenly distributed across the whole Flatizza. She added more sauce and spread it over where there was already sauce. So again, as with last time, I had to explain that I wanted it to cover ALL of the flatbread, so no matter where I took a bite, I would taste some sauce instead of just plain bread. It only took two times telling this one. An improvement from the four times it took the other one to finally get it last week. And another thing to this girls credit is that she correctly interpreted extra tomato as extra tomato, without any interaction from me! So she rings up my order, and it comes to more than it should be. She ended up charging me $ 1 extra for each of them, instead of the 75 cents for each of them that the App informed me I was going to be charged extra for the shredded steak(or whatever they call it). When I informed her of this she subtracted it off my total. The Flatizza’s are good though, if made properly. And for me, the shredded steak(?) makes them much better.

It’s a subway that’s neither here nor there. It just is. No frills or surprises here. The workers are pretty okay. Again, nothing exceptional. It’s the only sub sandwich place in the area, so if you want one, have at it.

I made the mistake of giving my business to Subway with only 2 stars my business and I paid for it. I am a HUGE supporter of Subway and probably eat at Subway 5 – 7 times a month. This Subway is located within the Howard Hughes Shopping Center. My girlfriend and I were going to movies on Wednesday(04-17-2013) and my plan was to sneak a Subway sandwich into the movies with me. I did read the reviews prior to coming here but I figured how bad can Subway, screw up a Subway sandwich; the answer to that question is really bad. I walked in and immediately noticed napkins and various trash on the floor. My girlfriend and I arrived shortly after lunch so I figured this was just the lunchtime rush that caused a mess and the staff is still trying to get a hand on things. Prior to ordering I did notice that during my entire time in line which lasted about 5 minutes that the staging/oven area where the bread is located the ‘doors’ were left open the entire time. I figured no big deal. It was finally my turn to order I ordered a ‘Spicy Italian ‘on ‘Wheat’ bread. I asked for the bread to be hallowed out to prevent eating empty carbs and allow me to put more vegetables on the sandwich. When it came time to put vegetables on the sandwich they were beyond stingy with the vegetables, I had to ask 2 – 3 times put more vegetables on the sandwich, you should only to have to ask once. I asked for my sandwich to be cut into ‘4’ and once I paid we were on our way to the movies which is literally a short walk away. As the previews started I was pretty jazzed to eat my sandwich, I was starving. I opened up my sandwich and immediately felt the bread to be as hard as a rock. The bread was so stale that you could break pieces of the bread off and it would crumble in your hands. WHO and I mean WHO would ever serve this bread to a paying customer? Are you really serious this is the product you are serving to customer who is coming to Subway looking for the healthy option, REALLY??? I was so hungry that I tried to take a bite of the sandwich; the bread was so bad that it was non-edible. I actually opened up the sandwich and eat the meat and vegetables out of the sandwich with my hands. Every person reading this review has at some point handled stale bread, you know when bread is fresh and when it is not. I NEVER save food so that I could return it but I did in this case. My girlfriend and I brought the sandwich back to the Subway at the end of the movie. When we presented the uneaten sandwich to the cashier and before the cashier even knew what our complaint was the cashier stated ‘This sandwich is stale,’ exactly why did you serve it like this to a paying customer? You had let me see how many chances to preform quality control on stale bread from being server: 1. Selecting the bread. 2. Cutting the bread. 3. Hallowing out the bread. 4. Making the sandwich. 5. Cutting the bread into 4’s. 6. Rolling the sandwich up. 7. Placing the sandwich in a Subway bag. 8. Handing the sandwich to a paying customer. I did not major in mathematics but that seems like 8 different chances to say to yourself there is no way I can serve this is a paying customer. THEYSTILLSERVEDIT, HOWDAREYOU!!! If I was the owner of Store #23290 and I knew you were serving my customers the customers that I depend on stale bread, I would throw you out on your butt so quick that you would searching ‘Monster Jobs’ with the keywords ‘Sandwich Maker’ by days end. My girlfriend and I demanded our money back and were given $ 5.75 back but you know what that is not good enough. As stated above I frequent Subway 5 – 7 a month, sometimes even more. Subway’s slogan is ‘Eat Fresh’ not ‘Eat Stale.’ I am without question contacting the Corporate Office advising them of what happened & when it happened. Subway better ‘do me right’ our they will have lost my business for good. As the saying goes serve someone a good meal they tell 5 people, serve someone a bad meal and they tell 20, well I am telling Unilocal and I demand that something be done. I wish I could give this Subway Store #23290 negative stars. ***Confirmation upon contacting Subway Customer Service & Corporate*** Thank You, your information has been sent successfully to SUBWAY® customer service. 4÷19÷201310:17 Thank you for contacting SUBWAY® Restaurants. Your feedback is important to the SUBWAY® brand and your recent inquiry has been forwarded to the appropriate areas for further review. UPDATE ************************ UPDATE ****************************** UPDATE I received a telephone call from the District Manager of Subway on Saturday(04⁄20). The DM was very nice and seemed very concerned in regards to my review. As I told the DM I was not jaded by the above, that I enjoy going to Subway and actually went to Subway yesterday(04⁄20) to eat. The DM told me that she was mailing me coupons for Subway; overall I am quite pleased at the response by Subway.

It’s Subway. you get what you expect. If you are coming here for lunch while you’re at a convention, beware… everyone else will be here too.

This is the worst Subway that I have been to in regards to how much food they give you. I only eat the Veggie Delight salad with spinach instead of lettuce. I got it twice this week and both times, they gave me so little it barely covered the bottom of the bowl. I had to ask over and over, can I get some more and the woman would grab 2 – 3 leaves and drop it in. The supervisor rang me up and saw how little I got but kept on with the payment. I get the same thing at 3 other Subways where I live and they pack it in. It’s unbelievable that the Veggie Salad cost more than the $ 5 sub and they can’t give you more than one handful of spinach.

This used to be a really good Subway. The people were friendly, they greeted you when you came in, smiled, looked right at you, joked with you — even when it was busy as hell. About 2 years ago though, there was an abrupt change in management and staff. Although some people stayed, there was a definite difference in the atmosphere. Over the last 2 years, the decline has become more and more apparent. I realize that this is fast food, and staff turnover is to be expected. My complaint is that, increasingly, the staff that is being hired now quite obviously hate their jobs. The last four or five times I have gone in there to eat the employees haven’t even looked up at me, let alone smiled or greeted me. And I don’t know when I last saw a manager or supervisor in there. I get it… it’s fast food and probably minimum wage. But, for now you have a job, someone is paying you, and you need to suck it up and realize that the customer is not responsible for your lousy lot in life. I don’t expect you to chat with me about your day, or be my buddy, but smiling at a customer and saying«thanks» and«have a nice day» are simple courtesies of any decent business. Oh yeah… the stinginess everyone speaks of for this place? Every one of them is absolutely correct. Adding three more spinach leaves does not constitute«extra» on a sandwich! Avoid this Subway. There are others within a few miles of this one that don’t come with the miserly portions and crummy attitude.

Didn’t find this place to be bad like others have posted, nothing exceptional about it either. Straight-up, three-star, run of the mill Subway.

+1 to stingyness: You know how you usually get three meatballs in the 6″ Meatball Marinara? I GOTONLY2!!! Fight for your meat and veggie rights! Also, I found that their soda machine seems to spit out extra foam. Takes me longer to let the foam settle and fill up my soda! Super shady . There are definitely better Subways around. I’m surprised this place acts this way since it appears to do pretty well what with all the HHC shoppers and employees coming to eat from across the street.

Just like other Unilocalers have noted, the sandwich makers at this Subway are SOEFFINGSTINGY!!! I normally don’t write reviews of chains, but my visit to this location today was also my last. «ummm can I have more tomatoes? « puts 2 slices on «more tomatoes?» puts 2 more on «are you serious!!!, a little more maybe?» doesnt look up «avocado please» slices the tiniest slices ive ever seen… seriously millimeters. «uhh I’m paying like a buck fifty for that… can I have more?» a few more millimeters, then immediately wraps it up. Its a veggie delight!!! the tomatoes are the whole freakin sandwich! I left sad and with a small, weak, untoasted sub. Screw this place, i’m never going back. I even took subways survey and told them how crappy this location is — when I get my free cookie I’m sure as hell not going here!

It’s a Subway restaurant. Eat Fresh may be the current slogan, but seriously… it’s a Subway, right? This location is pretty much what you would expect: quick sandwiches made right in front of you. Unfortunately, they seem to have a policy of only giving the bare minimum of condiments or service in order for me to get through the line as quickly as possible. I have to ask like 3 – 4 times often just to get about 5 pieces of spinach on a sandwich because the servers only put one or two with each request. This is repeated for other toppings like cucumbers, tomatoes, and jalapenos. I have to eat here regularly since I work so close by, but it almost never ends up being a sandwich I honestly enjoy eating. The bread is often dry and getting them toasted actually seems to make it worse. Choose this place for lunch when there is no line, you have less than $ 6, don’t really care about service or quality, and you MUST eat at Howard Hughes Promenade

I love Subway, it’s easy it’s consistant and it’s cheap BUT I hate this location. I am seriously beginning to wonder if they hire people who don’t speak English or have a brain on purpose. The last couple of times I have come here(I only come since it is SO close to work) they have failed big time on my sandwiches. I ordered a 6 inch BMT on white and ended up with a BMT on their«new» multi-grain bread. I then asked for mustard and oil and vinegar and ended up with mayo and no oil and vinegar. I understand I should be watching more closely but come on, if you work in a customer driven job maybe you should listen to the customer. They did re-do my sandwich but not without a sign and rolling of eyes. PLEASEHIREPEOPLETHATCAREABOUTTHECUSTOMER. if you hate your job so much you can’t even fake it to the people that pay you… GET A NEWJOB!

I usually only rate fast food places if they’re REALLY good… or REALLY bad. This one falls in the latter category. Ugh. In case you really want to come here, it’s located upstairs in the Howard Hughes Center. I ate here twice for lunch during my weeklong seminar at Pepperdine(just across the street) and both experiences were extremely disappointing. First of all, the staff are all downtrodden. There’s about 4 of them working the sandwich line, so you’d think they’d be more efficient and that the line would move quickly. Nope. They ask you the SAME question a bajillion times… and the worst is when you get to the veggies section. I LOVE red onions and jalapenos so I always ask them to layer it on. Most subways have always obliged without question. Not this one… ME: can I have a lot of red onions please? BLEHLADY:(slowly picks out 3 measly strands of red onion) ME: more onions please… BLEHLADY:(picks up about 4 strands now. and places it on the sandwich one by one) ME: moooore please… This conversation goes on when it came to the jalapenos and banana peppers too! It was really really frustrating… and I tried my hardest to be super nice too. Nobody here was friendly here and barely looked you in the eye. I should also mention that the bathroom is not open to the public — I have never seen that before at any Subways! Talk about shiestiness…

I’ve never been a fan of Subway sandwiches, since they do seem pretty plain to me, but I did like the breakfast sandwiches. It’s nothing spectacular, but it’s a reasonably priced way to start-off the day with a meal rather than a pastry. They have a good choice of options — I had a steak and eggs kind of sandwich and I really enjoyed it. This place is very convenient and is one of the few places open at 8am on Saturday morning in the Howard Hughes Center.
