Saturday morning September 12, I ordered a platter of sandwiches for a family birthday party. First call placed at 10:00am for noon pick up. A female employee told me my order would be ready for pick up as scheduled. On the way over at about 11:45am, I placed another call JUST to confirm my order was ready. The same girl apologized saying my order ‘never went in’ but nevertheless my food would be ready by noon. I arrive at 12:05pm. You guessed it, my order WASNOT ready nor had it even been initiated. Had to wait nearly 15 minutes for them to make my sandwiches, keeping my family waiting in the car. Incompetent. Spanish translation: Incompetente. No gracias, Boyle Heights Subway.

One the worst subways! Service is horrible! It’s like they only hire antisocial and rude staff. Not only are the workers sloppy in preparing a sandwich but also give attitude. The counter in which they prepare the subs looks messy and dirty.

Came in for an early dinner tonight. I was pleased to find such a nice staff working! They helped me pick out the perfect sandwich and it was delicious! The dining room was clean and had plenty of seating !

This has kinda been my main go-to Subway now that I’ve been working at Hollenbeck Middle School for a community basketball league. I usually pop in during the morning before my shift and pick up lunch for both my brother and for myself. Luis is usually there and the one that puts together our orders. He’s always very friendly and polite with us, and isn’t skimpy on toppings when we ask for extra this or that. The Subway by my house in San Gabriel has been kind of slow lately, so this location makes up for that, so that I’m not late for work. Luis takes his time to arrange our add-ons so that nothing falls out when we eat it, but he isn’t slow. Both my brother and I are in and out within 5 minutes and then I just head straight to work. We usually know it’ll be a good trip if he’s there because he always greets us with a warm smile, and we are always leaving happy with our sandwiches. The parking lot is a bit on the cramp side, but not too bad. It’s on the corner of Soto & Eighth, so it’s conveniently located right off the freeway. There is also a Winchelle’s and Yoshinoya in the plaza, so sometimes we go there for lunch too, but Subway is usually my main choice since it’s quick and easy. There are times when I come here(I always pay in cash), and I wouldn’t be charged tax, and other times I get charged with tax. So it’s kind of inconsistent with that… but no complaints I guess.

Just ordered a foot long chicken breast for the January promo $ 5/any sandwich. The reason I had to voice my eating experience here is just the way they join all the ingredients together for the sandwich. These people are the sloppiest I have ever seen. The sandwich was separated from some of the ingredients… Cucumber was on the paper rather than inside, the lettuce had spots with out any in it… out right sloppy. I know many of you say why didn’t you check while they were doing it? well like the previous commenter stated this place sucks when there are any promos. parking only fits like 10 cars if that… So I called in my order so they could have it ready, which in this case was good because the line was out the door. I had noticed it sloppy before in the past times when I came here but this was just sheeesh too wild. All in all the food was good but the look of the sandwich… Horrible!

I believe this is the only Subway in the Boyle Heights area. Although this location is quite small, you will always find seating if eating in. Try to avoid this location during promotions like the $ 2/6-inch during a particular month because the wait will be long. Also, parking in this little shopping plaza will be a challenge. The staff are nice and they build my sub just as I like it.

Horrible. Every time we go there the make a mistake on our sandwiches and we have to ask to have them remade(and it’s not us being picky. It’s simple things like toasted/not toasted, mayo/no mayo, etc). C’mon, people. It’s sandwich making… it’s NOT that hard. Ask what the people want, LISTEN to their response and then pick it up and put it on the bread. That’s it! The only reason we continue to go here is that there is nothing convenient/close to our job and Subway is the closest thing we can drive to. Today, however, was the straw that broke the camel’s back… There was a clump of hair in my coworker’s meatball sub. Not just a stray hair, but an entire CLUMP of hair. NEVER again, no matter how desperate we are…
