One of the worst Starbucks ever! This location is located inside Vons, near the entrance of the store. My husband and I stopped by here this past Monday(Martin Luther King Day). My husband ended up deciding to order an ice passion fruit tea. While we were in line waiting to order, the barista had told a customer ahead of us could not brew a new pot of coffee because their coffee grinder was broken. So that customer ended up ordering something else. Because the service was incredibly slow(two employees were working when we came), one customer ended up leaving while in line. We also ended up waiting rather a long time for an iced tea drink. The customer service here was pretty lousy and would not come back here.

Strolling along on New Year’s Day looking for s Starbucks that was open and ran across this one. Two of the best prepared and best starting Starbucks that me and my boyfriend have had. Perfect for the drive back to the OC!

This place is my morning routine place. Always stop by this starbucks before i go to work. First of all cant go wrong with starbucks coffee. The staffs were great when i first started coming till recently they hired a bunch of new people. there’s a guy that is really nice and funny and remembers my order.(that is a plus) but hes very nice. Great customer service, only if i knew his name. And also there was a lady who was pregnant she was very nice too. But the new guy and new couple girls are very rude and not the best customer service. To give them the benefit of the doubt maybe its because they are new but customers don’t like rude reps. Maybe I should start going to a different one. bleh

Staff is very friendly, I like the convenience of the location, I like to grab a bagel or donut from the pavilion bakery when I feel like a cheapskate.

As someone who has a Starbucks addiction I am accustomed to their quick and polite service. Even when the line is long and it’s taking forever to get my drink I wait patiently as I see the baristas hard at work. This Starbucks, located inside the Pavilions, does the exact opposite of the franchises expected environment. The barista, she was an African American young lady, who made my drink was moving at a snails pace, picked up drinks at whatever order she wanted and when asked a question gave attitude. I’m a very patient and understanding person but she draws the line. It would be much faster and less of a headache to drive to another Starbucks order your drinks there and then come back to this Pavilions to do your grocery shopping. And if Starbucks wants to maintain their reputation as a friendly establishment then they need to get rid of her. Her attitude stinks!

Pretty much the worst customer service I’ve ever received. I don’t get it, the dudes are always cool, funny, and fast. The women they hire there(and it pains me to define them by their gender, but it’s the«ladies») are horrible, callous, rude, and mean. For the past four years they have had a carousel of just beastly women working there… even had one tell me my «dude,» wasn’t getting me a Christmas gift. Yep! Always on their phones ignoring people. Note: if you’re an attractive guy you’ll get top notch service, extra shots, free flavors… I’ve seen this happen multiple times with a coworker. Today’s treatment is the incident that broke the wall of calm. One other person in line, he ordered two drinks, two baristas, and I was asked to wait but with a finger in the air and no please, smile, but a finger and head tilt. I waited and the guy took my order right away. He joked, talked about my shirt. I asked for light ice. I get my drink and it’s a lot of ice, and I asked the girl can I get light ice please. She responds that she gave me the same ice she gives everyone else. Now I didn’t ask for different ice but less quantity of ice. She turns her back to me and I ask again for light ice and she ignores me. I wave at the guy and and I ask for light ice and he looks at her and he tells her she asked for light ice and she ignores him. He apologizes and I walk away. I wasn’t rude, it’s Sunday at a grocery store just getting my day started. I will not be going back again. I’ll drink stank office coffee or drive to Gower Gulch before going to this Starbucks again.

Hi my name is Sam and all I want to say is that this Starbucks here is far by the greatest I have experience. I mean I’ve been to a corporate Starbucks and notice that they are much slower and do not make your drink the way you want it. They claim that they are much better but to be honest I hit this Starbucks at melrose and vine and found out that they know exactly how to make your drink and have it ready for you within seconds. I remember the old crew that was not so nice and pushy! But this new crew they have right now are by far the best I have encounter. I met this guy name Chris there, and he is great he looks at you in the eye when he takes your order and has it ready within seconds. I’ve seen him when he was alone in the morning for whatever the reason may be, but he showed that it was about the customers and not the pressure. He indeed took down a line of 12 people within 6 minutes, I timed it because I wanted to see the difference between him and the wired tall white guy that also works there. And Chris did a amazing job. I have also noticed that there is quiet a good amount of regulars who come and get there coffee here. There also is Daisy who works there. And let me tell you she is nice as we’ll. I don’t know why but they’ve been hiring a bunch of old people. I think if they keep it young and fresh, this Starbucks will defeat any competition. Heads up to the manager of this pavilions. But overall GOODJOB!!! :-)

I always come to this Starbucks because I shop at Pavilions and because it’s so close to my house. I’ve never really had a bad experience until today. I was in there about 10 minutes ago, and the tall white cashier guy was rude as shit. He didn’t take my order until everyone lined up the«correct» way. I was just standing at the front looking at everyone shuffling in line to his preference. I told him my order«venti iced caramel macchiato» and he said«woah say that again slower pleease I heard venti iced caramel macchiato so I’m just going to go with that» his sarcasm was a little rude but I just laughed and said yes. Then I was paying with my Starbucks app and he told me to «hit gift please» on the pos screen in front of me. There was a glare on the screen and I couldn’t see it so I was trying to move it. Within 2 seconds of saying«hit gift please» he said, repeatedly«hit gift please, hit gift please, hit gift please» I snapping let cut him off and said«I’m sorry I couldn’t see it». He was just forcing himself to be nice but it came off so rude and embarrassing. I know we all have rough days but if I am in a bad mood I have to put that aside when I go to work.

I can’t believe how slow these cows are who work at this Starbucks in the Pavilions while people are waiting for their drinks before work in the morning. Their loud, ignorant conversations are more important to them than customer service. None of them make eye contact with patrons. God forbid if I commit the crime of asking them a question or make an additional request, which requires them to stop talking to each other and listen. The invariable result of said offense is to reward me with damning expressions because my unwelcome words may force an even more dreaded reaction — driving them to move their lumbering persons an extra centimeter. I live nearby and have been going here for 4 years, each time I go, I consider buying this location simply so I can fire the employees and hire some starving actors who actually may appreciate having a steady job.

WORSTSTARBUCKSEVER. I went on a Sunday afternoon for a caramel macchiato before heading up to Santa Barbara. The drinks were bland. Green tea latte tasted like milk and my caramel macchiato did not taste like espresso from the machine. It was like a very bland ice coffee mix. Plus, they didn’t even put any whipped cream on my iced macchiato.

Started visiting this location approx a year ago and the baristas now have my drink memorized and know my baby’s name! They are great with my sugar free vanilla latte with soy and if for any reason I am not happy they remake on the spot. Thank you for making my stops pleasant and even more so because I expected so much less from a Starbucks located inside a grocery store!

As far as Starbuckses go, this one just barely hits average. Since it’s located within a Pavillions, I feel like the baristas do not have as much experience or training as other locations. The drinks are fairly average, but always seem to be missing that extra something that I always look forward to when I go to Starbucks. The drink is warm instead of slightly chilled when I ask for easy ice, my latte is a tad bitterer than usual, or my drink has a couple extra pumps too much sweetener and my teeth feel like they’re going to fall off. Customer service here has not been too great each time I’ve visited. My experiences range from a scowling barista to being rushed away from the counter to taking another person’s order before I have finished ordering all the drinks I need to get. Alas, I continue to visit this location due to its proximity to work. I’m just hoping that all of the customer satisfaction surveys I submit for this location will help it improve sooner rather than later.
