Thought this place was going to be great, based on all these stellar Unilocal reviews. It was not. Got the Latino Latte and two gf cheese puffs. The latte is made with condensed milk nd vanilla bean but somehow still tasted bitter and not nice and sweet and creamy like I thought it would. I was excited that there was a savory gf snack option in the cheese puffs. Alas, they were my good– glueyou and salty and decidedly NOT yummy. Not impressed with this place. :(

Hollywood, CA: Brazilian coffee bar! Fresh, not frozen, genuine gluten free cheese puffs, like the Brazil Bites from my local health foods freezer case but fresh baked, daily! I had mine in the form of a ham and cheese slider, where the cheese puff was the bun. So delicious! The coffee, made with beans from local roaster Intelligentsia, was adequate. Oh, but the barista’s latte art is amazing!(See business photos) Sad that the supposedly fresh chocolate croissant tasted day old, stale and dry. It was graciously exchanged for a chocolate macaroon cookie.(Delicious!) Very friendly and helpful staff. Seating is outdoors only, on the patio and in the shelteted seating area shared by a production company. Enter through the walk-in security gate around the corner, on Lillian Way. Metered street parking.

I don’t care how good the food is(here, it’s mediocre at best), but if you’re rude to your customers, I won’t be back. I just went there for lunch and ordered a caprese sandwich($ 5). I was asked if I wanted a side salad, so I said sure, though they neglected to tell me that the side salad cost extra($ 3). I also bought a San Pellegrino soda, which could not have cost more than $ 2, and an empanada($ 5) after seeing how small the sandwich was. For all this, I was charged $ 20. I didn’t really think about it until they handed me my food, at which point I asked them why I was charged $ 20 for an amount of food that should under no circumstances cost that much. I then asked if the side salad was extra. The guy behind the counter said that they must have over charged me and that yes the side salad was extra(you don’t offer something and not tell people there’s an extra charge for it), but neglected to remedy this at all. When I ask if they could do something about it please, he just shrugged and apologized again for the«inconvenience». I’m sorry but this isn’t an inconvenience. An inconvenience is when you put mayo on a sandwich when you’ve asked not to have any. Needless to say, I won’t be going back.

Such a great location. Just a few blocks from my apartment and I’m a bit upset that I’m just now discovering this place. I had an iced coffee, which certainly has a lot of caffeine. Pao Dequeijo, the Brazilian cheesy puff is a must try as well. The entrance is either through the parking lot or through a locked gate. The security will have to buzz you in. I’m guessing they mostly serve individuals working in the production buildings. Plenty of street parking in the area as well.

Cute place, friendly staff. A small coffee is the same price as a big one so– go big or go home, right? Metered parking on the street. Some plugs for computers and a nice big table to work form. Cute simple décor. Really tasty coffee. Don’t go out of the way to come here, but if you live in the area, or happen to be in the area, definitely a great place to stop for a quick brew, or an hour of work(one hour meters so don’t get too into your work or you might get a ticket).

They’re supposed to be open at 8am. When I showed up this morning, the rude woman behind the counter said«You’ll have to wait 15 minutes. We had a catering job & can’t serve you.» What the fuck?!? Why even say you’re open or open the doors if you’re not ready to serve cusromers? So lame! Never coming back here again.

I’m a big fan of this place. Everything I’ve had here has been great. If you’re in the area and looking for a coffee, snack, or lunch definitely check it out. As everyone says, it’s a little tricky to find but well worth it.

This is my favorite place on the planet and I’m fortunate enough to work in the building! Nicest, happiest people, best food, best drinks. I don’t like coffee at all, but they talked me into trying a «Dirty Chai» — Chai tea, milk and shot of espresso — and I“m hooked. Everything I’ve eaten here is fantastic and the cheese puffs straight out of the oven are to die for($ 1). Order to go because it’s not really set up with a bunch of tables.

Although this place can be somewhat difficult to find at a glance, it was well worth the search. I ended up here while waiting on my mechanic and was presented by exactly what I needed: some tasty coffee and a quiet, shady space to read. I ordered the Latino Latte on ice and was wowed by the flavor! The customer service was great! Being a first-time customer, I was given the breakdown of the menu, including the quiche that was calling me from the glass case! By the way, I had to walk through the parking lot that is behind the posted address, which I believe is the address to the Hollywood Production Center.

I love this spot. It’s right down the street from where I work. The service is always prompt and the Latte art is unrivaled. They do it right. While they have an elaborate selection, I typically stick to a cappuccino… it never disappoints

The coffee here is great. I really like the Brasil kiss latte. And the ladies that work here are really wonderful. However, there is a fellow who works here who is pretty damn disrespectful, and for that reason I won’t return here. I(a woman) came here with my employee(a man), and purchased our coffees and this fellow(or should I say cretin) made such remarks as, «little whipped, huh?» And«Lady cracking the whip!» Then made grotesque whipping noises. This is a fast way to lose self-respecting regulars at your business. I’ll go get my caffeine fix elsewhere in the future. Anywhere else. Even at Seven Eleven despite the coffee being swill, the staff usually exhibits basic human decency.

As every other review probably tells you, finding this place is a treasure hunt. Having had coffee from the Brasil Kiss truck on a couple occasions(which was pretty average) I was hesitant to try their brick and mortar location. I’m glad I did. I love coffee, and have tried places all over California, and this place is the best. Hands down. I usually get the Latino Latte, which is a great combination of things including condensed milk.

This place is super hidden but super duper cute! Additional brownie points for being a quick walk away from my office. I ordered the iced chai with almond milk and boy was it fresh and delicious — not artificial/sugary tasting like Starbucks. I ordered my boss an americano and spinach empanada with aioli on the side — he LOVED it. The two guys behind the counter were very friendly and let me know that they’ll be offering catering/delivery soon, stoked about that!

Hidden away off the parking lot of the Hollywood Production Center at Santa Monica and Lillian Way. I came on a Tuesday at around 4:30PM, and found ample street parking. There’s no seating inside, but there is a very quiet patio with cushioned outdoor seating, bar height tables, and a zen waterfall. They brew Intelligentsia coffee, and they brew it well. I also bought a chocolate chip cookie after I watched the woman behind the bar pull a tray of them out of a small oven. Fresh baked and delicious. Prices were also very reasonable. A double espresso mocha cost me $ 4. The staff were all extremely nice, and this is coming from someone that already thought people in LA were pretty nice overall. I will definitely be coming back the next time I’m in the area.

I love secret coffee shops; ones that require you to be buzzed in, tell the secret password and open the gate. Brasilkiss is a ‘secret coffee shop.’ If confused how to get here, it is the first building on the right hand side if facing south on Lillian from Santa Monica Blvd. It is located in a gated enclosure, so you need to be buzzed in somehow, scary: Press the doorbell. When you hear«security», say«Brasil Kiss». You should hear a buzz. Open the gate. I like how in the midst of three miles of coffeeless Santa Monica Blvd in Hollywood, Brasilkiss exists right next to the corner of Santa Monica and Vine as a coffee shop has been sorely needed here for years. When you go inside, it is located at the front of a gated tan industrial complex for production companies and serves their geeks and manicured geeks looking to suck on something brown. Everyone who works in this gated building is somehow involved with a millionaire, so the front patio of this production building has got really big chairs. I appreciate the persistence that the owner has to this place as it has come a long way since it was an egg. I remember passing it by back when it was a lone coffee truck in 2013 and never seeing them getting much business. Now they’ve got a buzzing crowd, they make lunch and provide delicious coffee. The iced coffee is incredibly yummy and there are at least three workers here, two of whom are there to provide lunch dishes. I remember having eavesdropped on a conversation the owner had with vendors at the Hollywood Farmers Market about her plans. It seems that everyone in Hollywood talks about their plans, but hers actually came together.

SPECIALNOTE to PRODUCTIONS working on soundstages in the area. Screw Starbucks, for reals and support the rad: Melissa and her peeps are AWESOME. They helped our production and clients out by sustaining us with plenty of GOOD caffeine laced within the Intelligentsia coffee that they crank out. No ‘milky’ lattes here! The food is also decadent = The pizza and empanadas are perfect treats. Look for the entrance off the parking lot on the northwest corner of Lillian and Eleanor, just south of Santa Monica.

This place has been a blessing from working inside the brand new Hollywood Production Center. First off, if you’ve never been here, it may be confusing to find as it’s inside the center. ENTERONLILLIANST. Head towards the parking lot and enter by the valets. Then you will see the café. Now to hear about the delicious these guys are serving: Amazing and traditional South American/Brasilian empanadas. Pao cheese balls and the works. I had the caprese and spinach expanadas. Both were 5 stars. The Prosciutto and mozzarella panini made by the Italian chef was the bomb. I opted for the croissant over the heavier Ciabatta. Aside from the great food they serve Intelligensia Coffee without the hipster Silver Lake lines. They also have the nicest people working there you will ever meet. Best of all they take all credit cards and the prices are extremely low. $ 5 gets you most of their sandwiches, quiches, empanadas, etc… LOVETHISPLACE ;)
